Former Obama adviser David Axelrod said Saturday on CNN’s coverage of the attempted assassination of former President Donald Trump that he will be greeted as a “martyr” by supporters when he attends next week’s Republican National Convention. Axelrod said, “I think this is a bracing moment for our country, and hopefully a moment for reflection where everybody kind of pulls back from the abyss so we don’t see this as a recurring event.”

The same bureau that investigated the Las Vegas shooting and the January 6th pipe bombs is now investigating the attempted assassination of Trump. This is also the same bureau that raided Mar-a-Lago. I’m sure they’ll get to the bottom of this soon.

Former President Donald Trump is lucky to be alive on Saturday night after an assassination attempt on him at a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania. A supporter was reportedly killed and Fox is reporting that two others were critically injured. As we reported, Trump issued a statement about the incident, thinking first of the supporter who was killed and that person's family, as well as the people injured.
