A cancer-stricken elderly man and two others were allegedly beaten by an angry anti-Israel mob after they started livestreaming an “anarchist bookfair” event at a North Carolina library. Monica Buckley, David Moritz and Bob Campbell claim they were physically attacked by roughly two dozen people after sitting in on a “Strategic Lessons from the Palestinian Resistance” seminar at the West Asheville Public Library in Asheville on Saturday, WPDE reported. The trio allege the crowd suddenly turned on them when an attendee noticed the talk — organized by the “Another Carolina Anarchist Bookfair” — was being filmed and streamed on social...

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Official White House sources confirmed Monday that President Biden's State Department had contacted several enemy nations to politely ask that they would only consider attacking the United States between Biden's waking hours of 10:00 am to 4:00 pm EST. According to State Department officials, the request was sent to China, Russia, Iran, Iraq, and North Korea, as well as a few miscellaneous Islamic terrorist groups and insurgencies. "Dear Enemies of the USA," reads the memo in part. "On behalf of President Biden, we kindly ask that — in the event that you feel like you really just...

Open source projects are about more than lines of code; they’re fuled by passionate people creating lasting change. In June 1994, several of us had a pretty neat idea: Let’s create an Open Source version of the DOS operating system. On June 29, 2024, the FreeDOS Project will turn 30 years old. What is DOS, anyway? If you don’t know about FreeDOS, let me briefly set the clock back to the 1980s. When IBM sold its first IBM Personal Computer 5150 in 1981, they needed an operating system to run on it. IBM contracted with Microsoft, who in turn worked with Seattle Computing...

Former President Donald J. Trump had a very good year at the Supreme Court. On Monday, the court ruled that he is substantially immune from prosecution on charges that he tried to subvert the 2020 election. On Friday, the court cast doubt on two of the four charges against him in what remains of that prosecution. And in March, the justices allowed him to seek another term despite a constitutional provision barring insurrectionists from holding office.Administrative agencies had a horrible term. In three 6-to-3 rulings along ideological lines, the court’s conservative supermajority erased a foundational precedent that had required courts...

Glibc-based Linux systems are vulnerable to a new bug (CVE-2024-6387) in OpenSSH's server (sshd) and should upgrade to the latest version.Infosec researchers at Qualys published their findings today, revealing that sshd is vulnerable to a race condition that could allow an unauthenticated attacker to achieve remote code execution (RCE) on potentially hundreds of thousands of targets. Successful exploitation could give intruders root-level access to a system, allowing them to potentially get away with virtually anything.Of the 14 million possibly vulnerable sshd instances that show up on Censys and Shodan scans, Qualys believes that roughly 700,000 of these internet-facing instances could...

There was fury and surprise among Biden White House aides following President Joe Biden’s disastrous debate performance against former President Donald Trump last week, Axios national political correspondent Alex Thompson revealed on CNN. Biden aides were “just as shocked as many other Democrats on the Hill at what they were seeing,” Thompson said on Monday. The president’s fumbling has prompted many prominent newspapers and political figures to urge him to drop out of the race. Last week, Thompson penned a story on how Biden has been shielded by close aides since the start of his presidency. “There was real anger...

My friend's truck sustained a lot of damage from an exploding tire. She can't afford to fix it. I thought she should look for a hatchback car instead of a truck, as it would be cheaper. What would be some decent hatchbacks which would carry plenty of cargo and give her several years, at least, of service? How should she further research cars? I was lucky, inheriting all my father's used cars until I finally bought my present car, which I bought new. So I don't have much experience in buying used cars or where to find a good one.

President Joe Biden is seven times more popular than former President Donald Trump among Ukrainians, a poll released Tuesday reveals. The Hill reports the first-ever poll was carried out by The Counteroffensive/Kyiv International Institute of Sociology. The unabashed affection of Ukrainian respondents for Biden was plain to see as 46.7 percent of those polled said Biden would be a better U.S. president for Ukraine’s war effort, while 6.5 percent said the same about Trump.

Woke is not what it used to be. For some years, the term was used to describe those who are sensitive and involved in the struggle against social injustice, especially in U.S. politics, but also in the politics of other countries following suit perhaps to a lesser degree. Woke was a label proudly worn by activists in pursuit of social and climate justice: from Black Lives Matter to the #MeToo movement and the fight against global warming. Woke seemed to advocate a new era of equality and justice.

@VigilantNews Congressman Wesley Hunt Reveals Jaw-Dropping Trump Story This is amazing. In a tense meeting with Taliban leaders, Trump declared, “I want to leave Afghanistan, but it’s going to be a conditions-based withdrawal,” before issuing a stark warning. “If you harm a hair on a single American, I’m going to kill you,” Trump said. The translator conveyed this exact message. Trump then “reached in his pocket, pulled out a satellite photo of the leader of the Taliban’s home, handed it to him, got up and walked out the room.”

The antisemitism of the Palestinian cause is not a bug; it’s a feature of the new politics in America Last January, members of the radical anti-Israel campus group Students for Justice in Palestine (SJP) filmed a video marking the end of their suspension from Rutgers University. At first look, the video strikes a dissonant chord: The visual aesthetic is a throwback to the Palestinian fedayeen and hijackers reading a communique after an operation. Yet the inflections and cadences, despite a detectable but faint accent, were jarringly American Gen Z. Historically, the American Jewish establishment has portrayed SJP and its ilk...

An unhinged LGBTQ TikTok influencer with over one million followers has called on Joe Biden to “take out” former president Donald Trump out and “blow him up.” The video directly responded to the Supreme Court ruling granting Trump immunity from prosecution for core official acts.

Deputy DAs in Los Angeles raise concerns of office antisemitism under boss George Gascon A growing number of deputy district attorneys in Los Angeles says they have concerns about antisemitism in the office after months of silence on the issue from their boss, which culminated in clashes between anti-Israel agitators and counterprotesters outside a synagogue in a heavily Jewish neighborhood in the city. Violence erupted outside the Adas Torah synagogue on Pico Boulevard last week, prompting condemnations from a range of prominent Democrats, including President Biden, California Gov. Gavin Newsom and Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass. But according to a...

No, Joe Biden isn’t Joltin’ Joe Di Maggio (the Yankee Clipper). Joe Biden is a Socialist who loves government and hates free markets. I feel like Biden and his junta are emuilating the old Soviet Union and Communism. Those of us who still love free markets are back on the chain gang. After two months of sharp declines in the number of job openings, moments ago Biden’s highly politicized Department of Labor reported that in May, the number of job openings unexpectedly spiked by a whopping 221K, to 8.140 million – far above the 7.950 million estimate – from a...

Gov't slammed; IDF says move helps Gaza operations continue in face of international pressure. Israel started work on Tuesday to connect a Gaza water facility to its electric grid, to provide water on a medium to longer-term basis to Palestinian civilians in Gaza at a rate of up to 20,000 liters per day. Immediately upon the development being leaked, several nationalistic opposition figures and some government figures started to attack the new policy. IDF sources said that the new policy is a critical aspect of maintaining Israel's legitimacy globally, in order to continue the war against Hamas. They said that...

CNN host Jake Tapper accused Democratic officials of using Orwellian tactics to spin President Biden’s debate performance. Tapper co-moderated last week's presidential debate, which was widely seen as a disastrous night for Biden. Many Democrats and liberals in the media have called for the president to step down and be replaced with another nominee. As for the Democrats still defending Biden, Tapper argued they are disingenuously downplaying or ignoring signs of the president's age-related decline.

PALM BEACH, FL — Following a 6-3 ruling from the United States Supreme Court protecting him from prosecution for official acts done while in office, former President Donald Trump released a public statement in which he announced that he is now the most immune president in history. The ruling appears to provide significant protection for Trump in some of his legal matters, leading him to declare himself, as the rightful president, fully immune from everything he has ever done or ever will do. "It's the greatest, most beautiful ruling of all time, and I now have the most incredible...
