"It's just insanity" that there could be another push to oust a House speaker over a budget disagreement, and there will be trouble for the Republican Party if such actions keep occurring, former Rep. Pete King said on Newsmax Sunday about Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene's motion to vacate filed Friday against House Speaker Mike Johnson.

A man infamous for being one New York City's worst landlords was punched in the face shortly after beginning his 60-day sentence at Rikers Island. Daniel Ohebshalom, known as a 'slumlord,' for forcing his tenants to live in appalling squalor, was hospitalized after the attack and might have broken facial bones. The assault happened in the intake area of the Eric M. Taylor Center around 12:15 p.m. on Friday. On the previous day, Ohebshalom had turned himself in to authorities after they had issued a warrant for his arrest. Ohebshalom had reportedly failed to perform hundreds of court-mandated repairs on...

CHICAGO -- Chicago voters have rejected a one-time real estate tax on properties over $1 million to pay for services for homeless people. It’s a loss for first-term Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson, who championed the so-called “mansion tax.” The proposal would have incrementally raised the city’s real estate transfer tax on properties valued at more than $1 million. Supporters estimated it would have generated $100 million annually for homeless services, including for mental health care. There are roughly 68,000 homeless people in Chicago on any given night. The measure also pitched lowering the transfer tax on properties under $1 million,...

In an effort to excuse Joe Biden's participation in the dubious business activities of his son Hunter, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) attempted to rebut Hunter's former business associate Tony Bobulinski's testimony at a House Oversight Committee by asking him "to name a single crime he witnessed Joe Biden commit." Bobulinski cited "corruption statutes, RICO, conspiracy, and FARA (Foreign Agents Registration Act) offenses" when he was interrupted by the Congresswoman's assertion that "RICO is not a crime, it is a category of crimes." Jason Galanis, another former business associate of Hunter, recounted "Hunter got his father on the phone during a...

Daily Readings from the USCCBThose preceding him as well as those following kept crying out: “Hosanna! Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord! Blessed is the kingdom of our father David that is to come! Hosanna in the highest!” Mark 11:9–10Throughout Jesus’ life, He traveled to Jerusalem many times. As a child, He was presented in the Temple. At age twelve, He was found teaching the teachers of the Law in the Temple. As He grew, He made regular pilgrimages to the Temple. During His temptation in the desert, the devil took Him to the pinnacle...

NATO begins to crumble Nato fops and neocon wankers have engineered the biggest military debacle since the HMFIC of Tangut called Genghis Khan a plastic man, very much worse than either Little BigHorn or Dunkirk. You saqy you've never heard of Tangut?? That is because Genghis Khan ordered his commanders to remove every trace on the planet of Tangut ever having existed. Scholars finally started finding written documents in caves in the region towards the middle of the last century; prior to that, they had regarded the tale of Tangut as some sort of a fairytale or a cautionary story for...

Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis (D) warned that the “train is coming” in her prosecution of former President Trump in his election interference case, despite efforts to slow down the case amid the discovery of her once-romantic relationship with a former special prosecutor. Willis, who avoided being disqualified from the case after appointing her former boyfriend to work it, said the weeks-long process detailing her relationship didn’t derail the main case because her team “has been continuing to work.”

A schoolboy has been hailed a hero for rescuing more than 100 people from the Moscow massacre. As terrorists started shooting concert-goers on Friday, 15-year-old Islam Khalilov was working in his part-time job as a cloakroom attendant at the Crocus City Hall venue in Moscow. The courageous boy remained calm - despite seeing a man get shot right in front of him - and guided terrified people fleeing from the gunmen to the emergency exits, saving dozens of lives. His bravery and quick-thinking came to light as Russia holds a day of national mourning for the people - including three...

New York Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has falsely accused Donald Trump of ordering a “terrorist attack” against the Capitol during the January 6th protests. In an interview with CNN’s Jake Tapper, Ocasio-Cortez made the case that the current lawfare campaign against Trump is not political but instead about prosecuting terrorist activity: Has there ever been a president, Republican or Democrat, that has been subject to this level of criminal charges, indictments and investigations? This is not about party. This is not about politics. This is about corruption and criminality. We’re talking about an individual who ordered essentially a terrorist attack on...

Savage and Stephen Gardner expose the Left in their plot to erode America’s borders, language, and culture. Savage quotes Voltaire: “Those who can make you believe absurdities can make you commit atrocities.” He shares examples of the Left’s “absurdities” leading to “atrocities”: defunding police, open borders, gender ideology, critical race theory, etc. They discuss how corporate greed and the Left are working to decimate our borders and bring down our civilization. Learn why Letitia James’ prosecution of Trump is a political persecution. Savage explains why the Civil War is already here as the left is waging an insurgency to destroy...

The agenda version is front and center with the widespread media pronouncement that the GOP bid to impeach President Biden has stalled. Wouldn’t you know it — CNN, The Washington Post, The New York Times, Politico and others on the left all reached exactly the same conclusion at the same time. It’s not a coincidence, it’s a conspiracy. They think and act the same way because they’re on the same team. They’re wrong that the probe is dead, but in saying so prematurely, they reveal their goal. From the get-go, they made certain the public would never know the full...

Designing a military can be hard. Designing a military when your primary adversary is Russia is harder...and doing it with a defence budget that could fit within the scope of a single cost overrun on a Pentagon project is something else entirely. Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania are commonly referred to as the Baltic States, from 2004 until Finland's accession to the organisation, sat relatively isolated on the Alliance's Eastern flank. Today, we look at how these states perceive their environment, design their forces to counter the perceived threat - and why they have been some of the strongest advocates in...

Harris was initially enjoying what she thought was a fun song but it appeared she was clued into the translation of the lyrics by Executive Director Mariana Reyes, who accompanied her on the trip. As sports stadiums built in the 1990s show their age, many professional sports teams are looking for new facilities — and public money to pay for them. “We are just in the heating up phase of the next stadium construction wave,” said J.C. Bradbury, a Kennesaw State University economics professor who has researched the issue. “That’s part of the reason why you’re seeing a lot more stadiums happen.” It isn’t just the Washington Commanders, who are obligated to play at FedEx Field in Landover until 2027 but are looking for a new home somewhere in Maryland, Virginia or Washington, D.C....

Foreign-born people make up almost a third of construction workers in the U.S. But their numbers have dropped in recent years, making it tougher for contractors to find workers. New home construction is key to unlocking lower housing prices. But the rate of this type of construction has fallen month to month since March 2022, and experts say tough immigration policies that have shrunk the construction workforce are behind the building squeeze. Lower immigration was a policy goal of the Trump White House, and the administration issued several policies toward that goal from 2017 to 2021, including freezing visas. The...

Have you ever been listening to someone talk and have déjà vu, even though you’ve never seen or heard of the person speaking, and the interview you’re watching happened just a few hours ago? I have. Once. A couple of weeks ago. I was listening to Tucker interview Xi Van Fleet, a Chinese native who lived through the Cultural Revolution in China. She eventually immigrated to the United States and has lived here for 40 years. As I was listening to her talk about how the Cultural Revolution rolled out and how she was seeing many of the same things...
