Speaker of the House Mike Johnson says he plans to invite Israel Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to address a joint session of Congress. What better way for Netanyahu to counter Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer's completely inappropriate and disgraceful speech he delivered that encouraged Israel to hold an election while Israel is at war? Schumer most likely delivered that speech at President Biden's request. Biden doesn't have the nerve to be honest about his feelings about Netanyahu. He likes to point to several decades of friendship but privately he is stabbing Netanyahu and Israel in the back. Israel has a...

Joe Biden spoke to a small crowd during his speech in Las Vegas, Nevada, about his “plans” to lower housing costs when he abruptly began rambling about once being the “poorest man in Congress.” “I had the [inaudible] things to be listed as the poorest man in Congress for 36 years,” Biden began. “I got a phone call, my wife was campaigning. I was campaigning up in New Hampshire back when that statistic came out in the nineties,” he said. “And she called — I used to call them because the kids were little when I was away, and say,...

A “completely innocent” Brooklyn teen was gunned down by a drive-by shooter in what cops believe was a tragic case of mistaken identity this week – with his grief-stricken sister saying he’d only gone out that night to drive his friend home from work. Christian Montrose, 19, had just parked his car in front of his house on East 104th Street near Avenue K in Canarsie around 2:45 a.m. Tuesday when someone rolled up in a black Acura and ambushed him, NYPD Chief of Detectives Joseph Kenny told reporters. “As he gets out of the car, he’s engaged in conversation...

Her text is as follows:"God of diversity / You make everything so beautifulThere is not only blue or...

One of the arguments you've probably heard circulating during the war in Gaza is that there's a difference between Hamas, who the US government and most sane people see as terrorists, and Palestinians, who are usually portrayed as innocent civilians. An inconvenient fact for supporters of this division is that Hamas is not just a militant group operating in Gaza, they are the elected leaders of Gaza. Nevertheless, we're told that not all Palestinians support Hamas. But a new poll released Wednesday calls into question that idea. In fact, Hamas, its leaders and the attack on Israel on 10/7 remain remarkably...

Mexico isn’t a partner or a friend on our southern border. Donald Trump's anodyne if overexcited comment that the U.S. auto industry would face a "bloodbath" if he's not elected and doesn't impose 50% or 100% tariffs on cars produced predictable results. "Don't outsmart yourself," Sen. Brian Schatz (D-Hawaii) posted, and Joe Biden's campaign promptly charged Trump with promising a "bloodbath" if he loses, without saying that he used a common metaphor and was talking about the auto industry. That's a subject Team Biden is understandably touchy about, given the conspicuous fiasco of its electric vehicle policies. It's summed up in a lengthy Wall Street Journal report on how a "dramatic...

Democratic Congressman Eric Swalwell (D-CA) was put back in his place by Rep. Mike Waltz (R-FL), who reminded him about his romantic relationship with “Chinese spy” Fang Fang. Swalwell will never escape being the butt of jokes when it comes to Chinese spying. Waltz said Swalwell “knows a thing or two about how China penetrates our government.”

On Wednesday, while campaigning in Arizona, Joe Biden revealed that the government reached an $8.5 billion deal with U.S. chipmaker Intel to build four plants in the U.S. that will build advanced computer chips. Commerce Secretary Gina Raimondo said the deal would enable the U.S. to manufacture 20% of the world's most advanced computer chips by 2030 and create 30,000 jobs. “Failure is not an option — leading-edge chips are the core of our innovation system, especially when it comes to advances in artificial intelligence and our military systems,” Raimondo told reporters. “We can’t just design chips. We have to...

[Catholic Caucus] A German Bishop: Words and Deeds Can Contradict Each OtherHomosexual [pseudo] blessings are the beginning of a further "development of doctrine", Monsignor Helmut Dieser, the Bishop of Aachen, Germany, told Katholisch.de (19 March). The term "development of doctrine" is often used by heretics to mean "betrayal of the faith."Monsignor Dieser says that with the text 'Fiducia Supplicans', Francis has made it clear "that action does not have to reflect doctrine one-to-one". He overlooks the fact that this is the definition of hypocrisy. For him, 'Fiducia Supplicans' indicates "indirectly" that the doctrine has a potential for "further development" [he means: disintegration]....

Last fall, I interviewed nurses from around the country about the nursing shortage that was affecting everything from the cost of healthcare to patient well-being. I never found a home for it, and I ended up putting it on Substack. (Yeah, I thought I would give Substack a shot. If you're interested, I'll send you a link.) The nursing shortage is real. In some cases, the lack of skilled providers has been deadly for some patients. The good news is that the Mayo Clinic is trying to solve this problem. The bad news is that it is trying to solve...
