The 2024 Republican primary is over. Donald Trump will be the nominee, so all attention turns to his running mate. Who will it be? Earlier this month, Trump heavily insinuated that he’d already made his decision but will reveal it later. Like The Apprentice, it’s all about the show, but there are some concerns that he might pick Nikki Haley, who still hasn’t dropped out of her quixotic campaign for the Republican nomination. Trump seems to have ruled her out, calling her a person not made of “presidential timber.”The media has their list, including Vivek Ramaswamy, Tim Scott, Elise Stefanik,...

Researchers unveiled 1.63-billion-year-old multicellular fossils from North China, marking the oldest record of multicellular eukaryotes and pushing back the timeline for the emergence of multicellularity in eukaryotes by about 70 million years. This discovery highlights the complexity of early life forms and supports the early appearance of the last eukaryotic common ancestor (LECA) in the evolutionary history. (Artist’s concept.) Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene called for a "national divorce" between red and blue states amid the escalating standoff over migration at the Texas border. The Georgia congressman responded to a post on X listing Democratic-leaning states that have sided with the federal government in the dispute with Texas Gov. Greg Abbott. "When I said we need a National Divorce this is exactly what I'm talking about and a serious example as to why," Greene wrote. Greene's national divorce idea is not new — she has often suggested splitting up the United States along political lines— but it is divisive. It...

Despite the mudslinging from Trump targeted at Nikki Haley, I suspect that Trump intends a) to win this race and b) for Nikki Haley to be his successor. Let me explain.###Now Trump must separate himself from her, lest she appear too close to him. ###If we want to put an end to socialism, we need a right-wing non-white woman to occupy the White House. This takes all the air not only out of the cries of “racist!” at conservatives, but also that conservatives are “sexist!” They will no longer be able to tout female candidates as necessary to “break the...

A constitutional crisis looms as states like Texas have taken it upon themselves to enforce our nation's immigration laws and protect our country from invasion. Earlier this week, the Biden administration demanded Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton give Border Patrol access to a city park on the Rio Grande riverfront, but the Texas National Guard continued to defend the state of Texas and, indeed, the United States, despite those threats. Since then, Joe Biden has been under pressure from the left to federalize the Texas National Guard so they can’t block U.S. Customs and Border Patrol from removing razor wire...

A dramatic police raid descended on a raucous Beverly Hills 'squatting' mansion that has been plaguing its celebrity neighborhood with nightly rave parties. The Los Angeles Police Department responded to reports of a home invasion shortly after 3pm Friday at the $4.3 million mansion, the site of a number of out-of-control parties that began in October. Despite counting Lebron James and Family Guy creator Seth McFarlane as neighbors, police had been seemingly powerless to stop the continuing raves - until Friday's incident reportedly included several suspects armed with a knife. It appeared that one of the all-day parties was going...

As The Doors sang, “This is the end.” As usual, Biden sided with Communist China and the World Economic Forum against the US. Or, if Congress passes this treasonous legislation, The Doors song “When The Music’s Over” seems appropriate and quite sad for this great nation. Under Obama and Biden, we have become an enclave of Communist China and has politicians that would embarras Venezuela’s politicians. President Joe Biden has endorsed a Senate deal to massively expand overall immigration to the United States negotiated by Sens. James Lankford (R-OK) and Chris Murphy (D-CT) among others, saying he “will sign it”...

Ted Cruz discusses DeSantis's ill-fated campaign and speculates on what is next. The discussion is a combination of good analysis regarding the 2024 race and sore loser revisionist history regarding his own failed presidential run in 2016.

Earlier this week, Sen. Amy Klobuchar tweeted a completely genuine (cue eye roll) photo of herself with President Biden in Wisconsin. Biden was wearing a hard hat and it caught plenty of attention: Nothing like having a beer with some great union workers and yes, that would be @JoeBiden in Superior, Wisconsin. @AFLCIO pic.twitter.com/caMGiRXjPe — Amy Klobuchar (@amyklobuchar) January 25, 2024 It was pointed out that the president they try so hard to portray as "working class Joe" had the hard hat on backward: pwned. What an embarrassment. They are laughing at him. pic.twitter.com/m0Mc3juBkK — Rhetoric Facer 🇺🇸 (@John_Monahan) January...

A migrant family with two young children have camped in the freezing cold outside the New York City offices of billionaire George Soros, 93, who poured at least $47 million into backing loose immigration policies and open borders. Shocking footage captures the woman and two young children sitting on the busy sidewalk outside the headquarters of the Open Society Foundation, a nonprofit organization established by far-left billionaire Soros in Midtown Manhattan. Consultant Jason Curtis Anderson, who shared the video on X, formerly Twitter, stated that the mother, an Asian migrant, has been there with her two babies for more than...

Composers count themselves lucky when musicians continue to perform their music after their death. But the American avant-garde composer John Cage, who died in 1992, never would have guessed that a single performance of his music would begin in 2001 and still be playing. In fact, it isn’t due to conclude for another 616 years. In a marathon performance like this, any little change becomes big news. On Feb. 5, 2011, for instance, one of the first three notes stopped sounding – after being sustained for eight years. On Feb. 5, 2023, another note is going to begin playing –...

Jan. 25 (UPI) -- A statue that went missing from Louisville, Ky., nearly 30 years ago has been returned to the city by a man who had it in his back yard. "Dad said they tossed it to the side and he asked if he could have it, and they said, sure. That's where it began its life at [our] house," Greer told WLKY-TV. The statue depicts the Greek god Pan playing...

Donald Trump's lawyers intend to appeal his staggering $83.3 million defamation lawsuit loss to E. Jean Carroll by arguing there was an 'insane' conflict of interest at the heart of the case. The former president's legal team are set to appeal on the grounds there was a conflict of interest between Carroll's lawyer and the judge presiding over her case. Trump's firebrand attorney Alina Habba claimed she was unaware that Judge Lewis Kaplan and Carroll's lawyer Roberta Kaplan - who are not related - worked together in the early 1990s, with the judge serving as her 'mentor', reports the New...

U.S. District Judge Lewis Kaplan capped off an at times surreal day in federal court with one final piece of advice for jurors who had just found that former President Donald Trump must pay $83.3 million in damages to E. Jean Carroll. "My advice to you is that you never disclose that you were on this jury, and I won't say anything more about it," Kaplan said after the verdict was read.
