This year’s Black Friday saw a record number of National Instant Criminal Background Check System (NICS) background checks compared to previous years. As Breitbart reports, the total number of NICS checks on Friday appeared to be roughly around 214,913, surpassing the previous year’s total of 192,749, according to the National Shooting Sports Foundation (NSSF).
