The Danish company Ørsted announced this week that it is canceling the development of its two major offshore wind projects in New Jersey, Ocean Wind I and II, blaming the poor state of the American economy under leftist President Joe Biden – a major proponent of green energy projects. Ocean Wind I and II were extremely unpopular in New Jersey, prompting widespread protests and aggressive congressional opposition led by Jersey Shore lawmakers Rep. Chris Smith (R-NJ) and Jeff Van Drew (R-NJ). Local fishing industry professionals fear the gigantic wind turbine maritime territory leases would prevent them from living off of...

Two things have become apparent since the NCAA investigation into the Michigan football program became public knowledge nearly two weeks ago. The first is that Connor Stalions, a low-level staff member within the football program, pushed the boundaries of scouting future opponents and likely broke NCAA regulations in the process. The second is that, in a rush to capitalize on the gold mine that has become this ongoing saga in Ann Arbor, members of both the local and national media have exposed themselves as a group who place a higher value on analytics than they do on accuracy. The steady...

[Catholic Caucus] "Is Pope Francis Schizophrenic?" - Paix Liturgique Letter 971Golias [the far-left French Catholic magazine] is fulminating. This week's issue (n° 787) (October 12 to 18, 2023) inveighs against "Vatican schizophrenia" in the Rupnik affair—you know, that Jesuit who dabbles in the arts, and who claims poetic license shamelessly to abuse. "What's the Pope playing at?" continues the organ of those who keep us from believing straight [Golias’s motto], when he restrains the arm of canon law even as it readies to punish the unmasked, goat-footed Satyr? And so rage clouds the minds of those imprecators over at Golias....

It is time for the Republican Party to “come together” and coalesce behind former President Donald Trump, Florida Sen. Rick Scott (R-FL) said in a shining endorsement Thursday. Scott clarified in an op-ed that he respects all the Republicans who chose to run in the Republican primary race, assessing that “every single one of them would be a better president than Joe Biden.” He briefly laid out the sad state of affairs under Biden’s leadership — an open border, drugs pouring into the country, the destruction of women’s sports, a general lack of law and order, the appeasement of world...

On a recent episode of “The Joe Rogan Experience,” the celebrated CEO of Tesla and owner of social media platform X/Twitter, Elon Musk, made a bold assertion. He suggested that bacterial lung infections in patients on ventilators might have led to more deaths than the COVID-19 virus itself. During this conversation, Joe Rogan pointed out, “Well, 80% of the people they put on ventilators died.” Rogan’s reference could be traced back to a report from Epoch Times, which cited data by Dr. Joseph Mercola. According to this data, a staggering 76.4 percent of COVID-19 patients aged 18 to 65 in...

JEFFERSON CITY — A state appeals court Tuesday shot down Republican Secretary of State Jay Ashcroft’s bid to inject political language into a ballot question aimed at restoring abortion rights in Missouri. Acting quickly on a hot-button issue that has been slowed by litigation, the Missouri Court of Appeals at Kansas City unanimously rejected the gubernatorial candidate’s appeal to reverse a lower court decision to strike and rewrite summary statements for six reproductive freedom ballot initiatives. As part of his job as secretary of state, Ashcroft is tasked with writing ballot summaries for proposed constitutional changes. A physician sued over...

A Florida man was cited this week for driving a truck that was painted similar to the look of Border Patrol vehicles but read “Booty Patrol” on the back, authorities said. The driver was pulled over Sunday and cited under a law that deals with prohibited vehicle lights that resemble those of law enforcement or other officials, the DeSoto County Sheriff’s Office said Tuesday. On Monday, the sheriff’s office posted photos of the truck on social media to raise awareness about people impersonating authorities. Photos of the white truck showed it had “Booty Patrol” on the back and side panels...

Every day millions of patients receiving legitimate medical care get informed consent. They’re told about the risks and alternatives of a procedure or they hear advertisements that spell out potential side effects associated with medication. But a judge in Kansas just ruled that Planned Parenthood and other abortion companies don’t have to tell women the risks of abortion or the alternatives. Never mind that abortions kill or injure women – like the one that killed a Nevada woman late last year. District Judge K. Christopher Jayaram issued an order blocking this law and another one today. “The Court has great...

In a case we've been following here at PJ Media, operatives openly stuffed ballot boxes in the recent Democrat primary for Mayor of Bridgeport, Conn. "Maybe This Latest Blatant Ballot Box Stuffing Scandal Will Be the Last Straw," I titled my previous article on the case. For once, my wistful optimism has come true. Not that the Bridgeport situation is unusual — videos of people breaking ballot harvesting laws and cramming boxes full of ballots of dubious origins are by now commonplace. Also commonplace is the disheartening lack of any action ever taken either to prosecute the lawbreakers or to remedy...

Dressing up like Joe Biden appeared to be a popular Halloween costume choice this season, but not for the reasons the president would like. People wore Ronald Reagan masks at Halloween when I was a kid, but it seemed to be mostly because people liked him. Reagan was re-elected in 1984, winning 49 of the 50 states. -snip Kids wearing Joe Biden masks on Halloween were doing so to make fun of him. One video that went viral on social media showed some boys dressed up like Secret Service agents trying to help a pretend Biden up some steps. After...

Kadyn Leo Swainston, 18, and his mother, Rachael Swainston, 42 both of Pocatello, have each been charged with several felony crimes following a Pocatello police investigation that was launched in June after a 15-year-old girl’s mother contacted authorities to report that her daughter had been raped, according to police and court records the Idaho State Journal recently obtained. Kadyn has been charged with rape, second-degree kidnapping...
