The Danish company Ørsted announced this week that it is canceling the development of its two major offshore wind projects in New Jersey, Ocean Wind I and II, blaming the poor state of the American economy under leftist President Joe Biden – a major proponent of green energy projects.
Ocean Wind I and II were extremely unpopular in New Jersey, prompting widespread protests and aggressive congressional opposition led by Jersey Shore lawmakers Rep. Chris Smith (R-NJ) and Jeff Van Drew (R-NJ). Local fishing industry professionals fear the gigantic wind turbine maritime territory leases would prevent them from living off of their own seas, kill off thriving fisheries, and destroy century-old traditions along the Shore.

i believe there would not be a single windmill without government subsidies....
One of the companies I sold for was in the wind business. I found out that the windmills are heavily subsidized on the front end, but nothing on the back end such as maintenance.
European countries subsidize them on the front and back end.
“green energy” is merely an anomaly, birthed by an era of zero-interest rates, growing government debt, cheap oil, low inflation, globalization, a dominant USA - which also supported the bloated globalist bureaucracy and propaganda of climate change.
Now all those things have reversed or reached a tipping point - and “green energy” is quickly dying.
Danes were just taking advantage of American suckers.
Great news. Especially great is that people are rising up against the “green” monstrosity.
The company pocketed a butt load of US taxpayer money and delivered no product. That’s not a bad gig if you can get it.

We do not want to degrade the earth any more by supplying any natural gas, so they need to figure out something else for Energy in New Jersey. Besides the natural gas has to be sent to Europe as LNG and they are happy to have it.
