NPR tried to reassure Americans that Biden using the short stairs to board Air Force One is a normal precaution to avoid ‘bad optics.’President Joe Biden is in severe decline, evidenced by his numerous public falls and repeated inability to coherently communicate. The Democrat’s public displays of clumsiness have left the White House scrambling to cover up his physical and mental incompetencies. Corporate media like NPR, which is known for giving its preferred political candidate a boost in the 2020 election cycle, are all too happy to join in the fun just in time for the 2024 election cycle. An article from...

Former President Donald Trump on Wednesday accused "left-wing lunatics" of fear-mongering about new COVID-19 variants in order to justify the reintroduction of their left-wing lockdown and mandate policies, which included the use of drop boxes and mail-in ballots in 2020, in a bid to rig the 2024 election.President Trump made the remarks in a video posted on Aug. 30 on Truth Social, saying that his message should serve as a warning to every COVID-19 "tyrant" who not only wants to "take away our freedom" but who would be playing into the hands of those wanting to exploit COVID-19 restrictions to...

New records released by the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) reveal that Hunter Biden’s firm, Rosemont Seneca Partners, exchanged over 1,000 emails with the office of then-Vice President Joe Biden during the Obama Administration. As the New York Post reports, the records were released by NARA on Wednesday after a request from the conservative legal advocacy group America First Legal (AFL). At least 861 emails were sent or received by the Office of the Vice President during the period of time between January of 2011 and December of 2013, and over 200 more emails remain hidden due to the Biden...

For all the Green dreamers and shrieking climate cultists on Earth do to mandate, cajole, and bribe the populace and industries into following them over a climate change cliff, every day there are more and more signs it’s going to be a massive – and heartwarming – bust of epic proportions. The auguries of change are all around us – we only have to know where to look. Now, I’m no Delphic oracle (I only play one at HotAir), but I will be glad to continue giving you the puzzle pieces pointing to wind’s future, and we’ll see if it works...

Critics, like filmmakers, know all about negative feedback. For every director who hears, “you stink!” there’s a critic who gets similarly attacked. It comes with the territory. This critic spent days reading the negative Twitter reactions to his “Barbie” film review, much of it written before the film opened. How did they know the review was “wrong” when they hadn’t seen the movie in question? It didn’t matter. “Barbie” was a cultural event with or without the actual film. The marketing team made sure of that. And then it became something else.A culture war totem, like a COVID-19 mask or Ukraine flag pin.And,...

ZOMG! Have the brainiacs followed the yellowoke path to diversity, equity, and inclusion mediocrity?Caltech drops calculus, chemistry, physics class requirements if your school doesn't offer them, allowing you to take Khan Academy instead. Doesn't seem that crazy. Until you notice they also got rid of the SAT, so it's all about diversity over merit. https://t.co/NcCtGXSC2u— Richard Hanania (@RichardHanania) August 31, 2023Ehhhh…not quite yet. Jury’s out. What they’re planning sounds like a reasonable work-around for particularly gifted, but educationally deprived students who aspire to greater things. The young lady the reporter begins the story with went to a school that didn’t offer...

You may know it as an aromatic spice to add flavor to your dishes or as a soothing herbal remedy to use for upset stomachs, but researchers from Osaka Metropolitan University have uncovered promising findings that Kencur, a tropical plant in the ginger family native to Southeast Asia, possesses anti-cancer effects. Led by Associate Professor Akiko Kojima, the researchers demonstrated that Kencur extract and its main active component, ethyl p-methoxycinnamate (EMC), significantly suppressed cancer cell growth at the cellular and animal levels. While previous studies on EMC indicated its anti-cancer potential by decreasing the expression of mitochondrial transcription factor A...

The polls continue to come in after the first Republican presidential primary debate, and it’s not looking too shabby for former President Donald Trump. A new poll suggests that while Republican voters seem to have a clear idea of which candidate performed the best, the overall population wasn’t all that impressed just yet. If this continues, the former president might have an easier time winning the GOP nod than it seemed previously. An Economist/YouGov poll paints a rather complex portrait of the GOP primary landscape after the candidates duked it out on the state last Wednesday. The numbers show that...

A new report from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) found that more than 90 percent of the children infected in last year’s measles outbreak in Ohio were unvaccinated. The report published Friday looked at the 85 total confirmed cases, all among children located in central Ohio, and found 94 percent of them did not receive the MMR vaccine, which protects against measles, mumps and rubella. Additionally, 80 out of the 85 cases were in children under the age of 5, according to Columbus Public Health. The CDC reported the average age of reported cases was 1 year, the...

Close to 20,000 migrant children will have been absorbed by New York City’s public schools when the school year starts on Sept. 7. None will be required to show proof of vaccinations when they enroll, as is required for children of New Yorkers. On Thursday, New York City officials held a press conference regarding the state of the more than 100,000 border crossers and illegal aliens that have arrived in the sanctuary city since the spring of last year. According to officials, nearly 19,000 migrant children had enrolled in New York City schools across all five boroughs by the end of...

Wednesday on FNC’s “The Ingraham Angle,” Trump co-defendant John Eastman argued efforts to focus on alleged wrongdoing during the 2020 election were justified. Eastman told host Laura Ingraham those aligned with former President Donald Trump had to fight back or face the possibility of never having a “fair election” again. “The answer is not to just, you know, take a powder and concede because then it will get worse on the next go around,” he said. “The answer is to fight it with everything we’ve got because what’s at stake here is too important. People keep asking me, why don’t...

Women’s sports advocate Riley Gaines delivered another cutting blow in the latest entry in the ongoing feud with constantly fired ESPN sports anchor Keith Olbermann. The feud, which has consistently been one side in Gaines’ favor, was sparked on Aug. 31 by Olbermann’s inept attack on the former NCAA swimming champion as an athlete who “sucked at swimming.” Gaines not only won that exchange by replying, “Ah, makes sense now why you got fired from ESPN,” Olbermann’s hateful attack was even slapped with notes that informed readers that Gaines did not “suck at swimming,” and rather was a “very successful...

After a heart attack, elderly adults have better odds for improved health and survival if all major heart vessels are cleared, not just the one that caused the heart attack. Because these patients often have other medical conditions and may be frail, doctors frequently opt to open only the "culprit" blood vessel and leave other partially blocked vessels alone. But new research on more than 1,400 patients aged 75 and older found that clearing all these vessels lowers the one-year risk for death, having another heart attack or stroke, or needing another procedure. "What we found in the study is...

Switching vitamin K antagonist (VKA) treatment to a non-vitamin K antagonist oral anticoagulant (NOAC) in frail elderly patients with atrial fibrillation is associated with more bleeding complications compared to continuing VKA treatment. That's the finding of late breaking research. In newly diagnosed patients with atrial fibrillation, NOACs are preferred over VKAs for the prevention of stroke. In atrial fibrillation patients already using a VKA, ESC guidelines recommend considering switching to a NOAC, especially if the time in therapeutic range is not well-controlled despite good drug adherence. The FRAIL-AF trial investigated whether switching VKA treatment to NOAC treatment was superior in...

Two Pennsylvania State Education Association staff members were arrested Wednesday for trespassing on HACC’s Lancaster campus. The union employees, who had set up a table with information supporting HACC’s unionized faculty members, refused to leave when asked by campus security. East Lampeter Township police were called to remove them. “We have every right to be on campuses talking to faculty,” said Kathy Sicher, president of HACCEA, the union representing faculty. “We’re part of the campus, whether HACC likes it or not, we’re part of HACC.” The representatives – Lauri Lebo Rakoff, region advocacy coordinator, and Adam Weber, union representative –...

They are also difficult to detect by radar.
