VIDEODespite the fact that we have been warned that the debt ceiling situation could lead to the existential crises of a default, Congressman Jerry Nadler is pleasantly sleeping through it all. Is he sleeping any more deeply than Joe Biden who has taken a lid from Friday afternoon until Tuesday rather than actually negotiate on the debt despite the Janet Yellen default zero hour that is rapidly approaching? And what voices is Nadler hearing in his dreams?

Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence Condemn Pope Francis for “Anti-Catholic” Campaign Against NunsSr. Tequila Nastypants, Mother Superior of the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence, came out swinging at a press event last evening, criticizing Pope Francis for his attacks on conservative religious orders in the Catholic Church:Yeah, we poke filthy fun at nuns, and prance around in outrageous costumes doing obscene, sacrilegious things. But Pope Francis has sent in henchmen to interrogate sincere, traditional nuns. Then he closed down their communities, seized their facilities, and essentially turned them out on the street to fend for themselves. We’d never do that. It’s just...

In the recesses of the internet where some of Donald Trump’s most fervent supporters stoke conspiracies and plot his return to the White House, suspected con artists have been mining their disappointment over the last presidential election for gold. They’ve been peddling “Trump Bucks,” which are emblazoned with photos of the former president, and advertising them online as a kind of golden ticket that will help propel Trump’s 2024 bid and make the “real patriots” who support him rich when cashed in. John Amann told NBC News he bought $2,200 worth of Trump Bucks and other items over the past...

Arguing that "blood is thicker than water," China's Ambassador to the United States Xie Feng called upon "fellow compatriots and Chinese students to serve the motherland. Your support, involvement and contribution would be most valuable. A China marching toward modernity is a boon to the Chinese people and to countries across the world." After years of repression of dissenters, enslavement of minorities, and theft of intellectual property rights, only 15% of Americans hold a favorable view of the Chinese nation. The Ambassador called this unfavorable view "myopic and ill-informed. The American government has also been quite active in repressing dissent...

The drug decriminalization wave that swept across America's most liberal cities has fallen short of its promises of improving drug addiction recovery and overdose deaths. Beginning in the mid-2010s and making a significant uptick since 2020, drug decriminalization was sold by politicians and liberal activists as a way to combat substance-use disorder by treating it as a disease rather than a crime. The increase in 2020 was spurred by the activism following the murder of George Floyd, who had ingested both fentanyl and methamphetamine, the most prominent drugs found in overdose victims. Major cities across the country, including Philadelphia, Seattle,...

It sounds unlikely, but it happened exactly this way. Heroes come in all shapes and sizes. A female school teacher who barely came up to my shoulder and was half my weight raced after an armed intruder and shot him. This was a training exercise and we were using simulated firearms that shot rubber bullets. So how does a 30 year old woman defend her school and soundly defeat a 20 year old man? The answers are surprising. You have an essential role to play in saving our children.

On this date in 1610, the fanatical Catholic who assassinated Henri IV of France was ripped apart on the Place de Greve. The road to this man’s calvary begins long before his infamous crime, even long before the birth of his illustrious victim. The Protestant Reformation — so richly represented in the executioner’s annals — had fractured France in the 16th century. After decades of voluptuously indecisive Catholic-versus-Hugeunot slaughter, matters had finally been settled by the man upon whom French absolutism would erect its (ill-fated) edifice. Henri IV, the first Bourbon monarch and a Huguenot, had unified the country by...

A violent suspect who was arrested trying to shut down a pro-Daniel Penny rally in Manhattan was out on bond for a leftist domestic terrorism case in Atlanta. Teresa Yue Shen, 31, of Brooklyn, was one of several far-left militants charged with domestic terrorism in January in Atlanta, following a deadly shooting incident at an Antifa-linked autonomous zone occupation at the heart of the “Stop Cop City” movement. Shen’s $20,000 bond was fronted by far-left activist Daniel Hanley. The Atlanta Solidarity Fund, a project of 501(c)(3) nonprofit Network For Strong Communities, has been raising cash for Antifa and domestic terrorism...
