Trump gave an interview on Thursday to Hugh Hewitt, who repeatedly asked him to spill on what disparaging nicknames he plans to use against those who compete with him in the 2024 Republican primary. When Hewitt floated Glenn Youngkin (R) as a possible bid, Trump referred to the Virginia Governor as a “disappointment,” complaining that he didn’t get enough gratitude from Youngkin or his team even though “I did a lot for him. And he got elected because of me, just like Ron DeSantis. Even more so.” DeSantis is often considered Trump’s biggest potential primary threat, and the former president...

Something worse than anything seen even amidst the dark years of the Cold War has awoken, Matthew Ehret writes. It feels like today’s world is spinning quickly out of control. Fear of nuclear confrontation between Russia and NATO has increased to a fever pitch and something worse than anything seen even amidst the dark years of the Cold War has awoken. A strange form of insanity has swept across the collective west as the US Congress infuses billions of dollars of more lethal aid to a regime in Kiev which a smiling Senator Lindsey Graham has said Kiev “will fight...

Russian President Vladimir Putin said Thursday that Russia was being threatened by German tanks, like during World War Two, speaking at an event in Volgograd, formerly Stalingrad, marking the Soviet victory over Nazi forces in the city. 'It's unbelievable but true. We are again being threatened by German Leopard tanks,' Putin said, adding that Russia had an 'answer' to any country that threatened it. Putin appeared to have brought his 'nuclear football' to Volgograd. Aides were seen close to the dictator carrying two black bags. Observers believed one was a fold-up shield to protect Putin in the event of shooting,...

As pet owners, it is common for us to be curious about whether our furry friends can see ghosts. One of the many myths about cats is that they can see ghosts or spirits. This is due to the way they act sometimes. For example, your cat may suddenly start hissing at nothing or stop playing to stare at nothing. However, when you look around, you see nothing that explains your feline's sudden behavior. As a result, you just assume the animal has seen a spirit.

Millions of fish are harvested across the world each year, but nearly half are killed due to diseases. However, studies have found that by inserting alligator genes into catfish, their survival chances increase by fivefold. The gene, dubbed cathelicidin, contains properties that protect reptiles from infections when wounded. Typically, farmers treat sick fish with antibiotics, but this contributes to the development of antibiotic-resistant bacteria. But now scientists at Auburn University in Alabama are fusing the DNA of the two species. Scientists used CRISPR to insert the alligator gene that codes for cathelicidin into catfish. It found the survival rate of...

Former Maryland Gov. Larry Hogan, a moderate Republican who has long been a critic of former President Trump, said he would support Trump if he is the GOP nominee for president in 2024. Hogan, who is mulling a White House bid of his own, has said he does not think Trump will be the party’s nominee in 2024. But in an interview with conservative radio talk show host Hugh Hewitt on Thursday, Hogan reluctantly conceded that he would support whoever the GOP’s choice for president is in 2024. “Yeah, I just don’t think [Trump will] be the nominee, but I’ll...

He has my support in 2024 because I know he won’t recklessly send Americans to fight overseas.A few days before America’s 2022 midterm elections, Ukraine’s President Volodomyr Zelensky accused Russia of firing a rocket into Poland. It was a claim with extraordinary implications. Poland, a member of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization, benefits from the alliance’s mutual defense pact—an attack against one is an attack against all. The U.S. would plausibly have an obligation to respond militarily to a Russian attack inside Poland. In making the accusation, Mr. Zelensky was pushing on the dominoes that could start the world’s first...

A top insurance research analyst has found a 7% aggregate mortality increase for each COVID vaccine dose received, meaning a “fully vaccinated” individual who took 5 doses increased their risk of death by 35%. Josh Stirling joined the “American Thought Leaders” podcast last week to break down alarming mortality data from the CDC and from within the insurance sector itself. “We pulled together an analysis that uses CDC data from the United States that compares the vaccination status, ranked by the number of doses across regions in the U.S., and compares that to the amount of increase or decrease in...

Kyle Rittenhouse, who skyrocketed to fame in right-wing circles after shooting and killing two protesters during a social rights march in 2020, is now facing a wrongful death lawsuit filed by the victim's father, according to PBS. The lawsuit was filed by John Huber, the father of one of the two victims, and also includes city officials and police officers. U.S. District Judge Lynn Adelman dismissed motions from the city officials, police officers and Rittenhouse to dismiss the civil rights case in its entirety. Huber's lawsuit states that Rittenhouse conspired with police officers to intentionally cause harm to the protesters...

The SARS-CoV-2 virus is still spreading worldwide, and there is an urgent need to effectively prevent and control this pandemic. This study evaluated the potential efficacy of Egg Yolk Antibodies (IgY) as a neutralizing agent against the SARS-CoV-2. We investigated the neutralizing effect of anti-spike-S1 IgYs on the SARS-CoV-2 pseudovirus, as well as its inhibitory effect on the binding of the coronavirus spike protein mutants to human ACE2. Our results show that the anti-Spike-S1 IgYs showed significant neutralizing potency against SARS-CoV-2 pseudovirus, various spike protein mutants, and even SARS-CoV in vitro. It might be a feasible tool for the prevention...

This list only includes destroyed vehicles and equipment of which photo or videographic evidence is available. Therefore, the amount of equipment destroyed is significantly higher than recorded here. Small arms, ATGMs, MANPADS, loitering munitions, drones used as unmanned bait, civilian vehicles, trailers and derelict equipment are not included in this list. All possible effort has gone into avoiding duplicate entries and discerning the status of equipment between captured or abandoned. Many of the entries listed as 'abandoned' will likely end up captured or destroyed. Similarly, some of the captured equipment might be destroyed if it can't be recovered. When the...

Candlewax and Hedgehogs—a peculiar way to entitle an article, I’ll admit. But both have their associations with the second day of February. The first is more important so we’ll begin there. The second day of February is one of the 12 great feasts, and is also celebrated by Christians in the West. The feast is the Presentation of Christ in the Temple, described in the second chapter of St. Luke’s gospel. There we are told that the Christ child was brought by his mother into the temple in fulfillment of the law, 40 days after his birth (February 2 is...

Sodom and Gomorrah were real cities, and real people lived there. These were notoriously sinful cities God warned but eventually destroyed because of their wickedness (Genesis 19:24). These cities, infamous for their debauchery and homosexuality, are mentioned 23 times in Scripture. When Jesus taught about judgment, He referred to Sodom and Gomorrah (Matthew 10:15). Historians acknowledge them; Muslims and Jews record their existence along with their decadent behavior. Billy Graham told us, "If God doesn't judge America, He will have to apologize to Sodom and Gomorrah."In World War II, the allies bombed Hamburg, Germany, killing 40,000 with one of the largest...

A Welsh courtier with the boldness to bed the queen lost his head this date in 1461 … but his career in usurpation was just getting started. The House of Tudor that would come to rule England counted Owen its sire; the four-year-old grandson he left at his death grew up to become the first Tudor monarch, Henry VII. Owen produced the root of this august line with Dowager Queen Catherine of Valois, the French princess Henry V had extracted as part of the price of peace after Agincourt. That union was supposed to join the two great realms, but...

Gov. Gavin Newsom (D) used a press conference Wednesday to make clear his response to recent mass shootings in California will be to limit concealed carry. The Sacramento Bee reported Newsom is rallying behind Senate Bill 2, which tightens concealed carry permit issuance requirements in response to the Supreme Court of the United States’ Bruen (2022) decision. That decision struck down New York’s proper cause requirement for concealed carry permit issuance, which, as result, also gutted California’s “good cause” requirement.
