The vast majority of the population of Pakistan – about 220 million of 240 million people – was left without electricity on Monday after a “widespread breakdown in the power system,” according to the Ministry of Energy. Pakistan is one of the world’s most densely populated countries and boasts a stable of six operable nuclear reactors in addition to a power grid largely supplied by coal and other fossil fuels. It experiences routine regional blackouts, particularly in more remote regions, but Monday’s total collapse presents a new level of severity in infrastructure malfunction. The blackout, which persisted in much of...

“I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened” (Eph. 1:18). Spiritual enlightenment doesn’t come through self-effort or introspective meditation but through God’s Holy Spirit. Our society has been enamored with the pursuit of spiritual enlightenment, especially since the influx of Eastern thought into the West during the 1960s. Now we are drowning in a sea of false religions and New Age philosophies. True enlightenment continues to elude many because they have denied its source and have turned to gurus and teachers who have no light to give. They propagate self-effort and introspective meditation, but spiritual enlightenment doesn’t...

The New York Times has long ago abandoned any pretense of being an actual news source and has settled into its role as the foremost propaganda arm of the hard Left, capitalizing upon the fact that there is still a considerable number of people in the U.S. and around the world who still think that the Times can be trusted to report events impartially and accurately. In reality, the only thing the Times is good for is revealing what the political and media elites are thinking.. the Leftist establishment is through with Old Joe Biden. Watch for him to be...

During the 1980s, Ronald Reagan bestrode the political landscape like a colossus. After two Reagan landslides, the Democratic Party was on its heels, having lost one-in-four of their supporters to the popular Republican. Democrats took pains to study the so-called “Reagan Democrats” and learn what made them tick. Leading the charge was the Democratic Leadership Council, which advocated that the party abandon its Big Government, New Deal-like approach to problems and support a strong national defense and middle-class tax cuts. Bill Clinton, Al Gore and Joe Biden were among its prominent members who liked to call themselves “New Democrats.” Reagan...

At least three people were killed in what police have called a “random shooting” that took place early Tuesday morning at a convenience store in Yakima, Washington. The gunman, who police believe to be 21-year-old Jarid Haddock, is still at large. “It appears to be a random situation. There was no apparent conflict between the parties,” Yakima Police Chief Matt Murray said in a video shared on the department’s Facebook page. “The male just walked in and started shooting.” Murray said police received calls around 3:30 a.m. of a man shooting people at a Circle K store. Upon arrival, officers...

Senator Cory Booker (D-NJ) said Tuesday on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” that he believed Republicans’ refusal to pass “common sense gun safety” was a “dereliction of duty.” Booker said, “There are common sense gun safety things that we can do in this country that majority of Americans agree on, like universal background checks, gun safety locks. There are things we agree on. The problem in America is that we have a major political party that is not willing to do the common sense things that would make us safer.

Patients with relapsed or refractory hairy cell leukemia who were treated with vemurafenib experienced excellent response and relapse-free survival, according to a trial. "This finding is important because it represents a targeted and relatively nontoxic and nonchemotherapeutic treatment," said Martin S. Tallman, MD, Hairy cell leukemia (HCL), a rare type of leukemia, manifests when bone marrow produces too many lymphocytes, a type of white blood cell. The disease can be treated with the chemotherapy drug Cladribine either with or without the anti-CD20 monoclonal antibody Rituximab. Unfortunately, 30 to 40 percent of patients will still relapse. In the case of relapsed...

The FBI said it was “able to confirm” that Lazarus Group and APT38, two hacking groups linked to North Korea, were responsible for the attack on the so-called Horizon bridge last year. Hackers stole $100 million worth of cryptocurrencies in the attack on the Horizon bridge, which traders use to swap digital tokens between different blockchain networks. The FBI also said that the North Korean cyber actors this month used the Railgun system to launder over $60 million worth of the token ether stolen during the June 2022 heist. The FBI claims North Korea-linked hackers were behind a $100 million...

Experts today cast doubts over the authenticity of a series of videos that claim to show patients violently shaking after a reaction to the Covid vaccine. In one of the more shocking clips, an elderly female patient struggles to walk from the bathroom to her hospital bed while experiencing tremors. The video was shared more than 26,000 times and viewed by 11million people on Twitter. Other videos show patients convulsing and struggling to move. But experts told DailyMail.com even though they cannot prove all the videos are fake, the shaking was 'not characteristic' of the seizures patients claimed to be...

The image, a still taken from a four-second video clip captured April 16, 2016, by a reconnaissance aircraft in northern Iraq, was shared by UFO researcher Jeremy Kenyon Lockyer Corbell and journalist George Knapp on the first episode of their new podcast “Weaponized” on Tuesday. “It is a military-filmed image, an intelligence agency-filmed image, and it’s called the Mosul orb,” Corbell said, noting the object was named after the Iraqi city where it was spotted. In the video, the metallic-colored sphere seemingly moved alongside the spy plane without dropping in altitude, Corbell said. “This is in the UFO category within...

There’s an actual insurrection going on and the January 6-obsessed left won’t talk about it. .... .... The last time Atlanta (and the rest of Georgia) tried to leave the Union, the Army eventually marched in and burned the place down. But now that Atlanta has been invaded by secessionist Yankees (more on that in a sec), we’re not supposed to talk about it. Because of white supremacy and January 6 or something. PJ Media’s own Victoria Taft wrote decisively on Monday for our VIP subscribers about the January 6 insurrection that wasn’t, but what about the very real Atlanta...

Former Trump Attorney General Bill Barr said Friday on FNC’s “America Reports” that it is “unprecedented” that former President Donald Trump had classified material at his Florida estate and he “jerked around” the Department of Justice for a year while they tried to recover the documents. Sandra Smith asked, “Do you think this type of this raid was avoidable? Do you think a second subpoena, for example, could have been issued?” Barr said, “I personally think for them to have taken things to the current point, they probably have pretty good evidence, but that’s speculation. And until we see that,...
