Senator Cory Booker (D-NJ) said Tuesday on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” that he believed Republicans’ refusal to pass “common sense gun safety” was a “dereliction of duty.”

Booker said, “There are common sense gun safety things that we can do in this country that majority of Americans agree on, like universal background checks, gun safety locks. There are things we agree on. The problem in America is that we have a major political party that is not willing to do the common sense things that would make us safer.

I guess usurping the Constitution is a duty, but prosecuting violent criminals is not? Go away Spartacus.

The problem in America is that we have a major political party that is not willing to do the common sense things that would make us safer.

You mean like locking up criminals? Which party might that be?

Don’t you need to own a gun to learn and practice “common sense gun safety things”?

So true - They’re so quick to throw out the nebulous words of “Common Sense” to prefix their legislation, but not one of them would know common sense if it hit them in the face.

Dereliction is what you call the Commmie Rat push to refuse prosecution of criminals and allowing murderers, armed robbers and other criminal thugs to roam the streets attack law-abiding citizens.

Mr. Booker’s fundamental issue is he does not understand the form and construct of our government.

The U.S. Constitution cannot be changed with the passage of a law, you must seeks to amend the Constitution itself where the existing Amendments are concerned.

This then requires a supermajority of the states to consent to any such changes.

In Mr. Booker’s addled mind, the states would also be “derelict” in approving Mr. Booker’s mindless twaddle regarding the 2nd Amendment.
