A former Department of Energy official accused of stealing a woman's suitcase from the Las Vegas airport glared at the camera in their mugshot after being arrested on the felony grand larceny charge. Sam Brinton, 35, who identifies as non-binary and uses 'they/their' pronouns, appeared in a Las Vegas courtroom on Wednesday where the judge set their bail at $15,000. A cash bond has already been posted and Brinton was not held. Brinton was charged for the luggage theft earlier this year at the Harry Reid International Airport in Las Vegas that was captured on security footage. They also face...

TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — An 83-year-old Port Charlotte man who was trapped under a golf cart for several hours was rescued by an unlikely duo — two Waste Management workers. According to a release from the company, driver Alex Galarza and assistant driver Paulino Ortega were driving along their regular route Monday when they noticed the man trapped under a golf cart at the end of a Port Charlotte driveway. The workers immediately dialed 911 and started providing first aid treatment while authorities were en route. In talking to the man, the workers noticed he was showing signs of hypothermia...

Lizzo issued a rebuke Monday to critics who accused her of making music that only appeals to white people — an allegation raised in her new HBO Max documentary, “Love, Lizzo.” “[It’s] very hurtful, only because I am a Black woman, and I feel like it really challenges my identity and who I am, and diminishes that, which I think is really hurtful,” the “Juice” singer, 34, said during an appearance on “The Howard Stern Show.” SNIP “It was a Black school,” Lizzo told Vanity Fair for its November cover story. “Mostly Black and brown, Caribbean, I had Nigerian friends...

VIDEOScam the Scam is about to enter the Ninth Circle of Hell aka the notoriously brutal Fox Hill Prison in the Bahamas. After living life in a very comfy protective bubble of pampered privilege poor Sam is in for a big shock. If he so much as mentions "effective altruism" in that prison, you just know where the prisoners will shove that altruism as you can see in a few scenes in this video of what awaits him at his new abode. A hellhole where worrying about fulfilling his vegan diet will be the LEAST of his concerns. It's almost as...

PHOENIX (AP) — The U.S. government sued Arizona Gov. Doug Ducey and the state Wednesday over the placement of shipping containers as a barrier on the border with Mexico, saying it is trespassing on federal lands. The complaint filed in U.S. District Court comes three weeks before the Republican governor steps aside for Democratic Gov.-elect Katie Hobbs, who has said she opposes the construction. Ducey told U.S. officials earlier this week that Arizona stands ready to help remove the containers, which he says were placed as a temporary barrier. But he wants the U.S. government to say when it will...

On Election Day, Maricopa County, Arizona, found itself at the center of the national conversation thanks to a number of malfunctioning election machines, incredibly long lines and other issues. The county is the most populous by far in a state where Democrat Katie Hobbs won the gubernatorial challenge by a mere 0.6 percent (roughly 17,000 votes) over her Republican opponent, former local news anchor-turned-conservative firebrand Kari Lake. Because of this, Arizona State Senator Sonny Borrelli filed a lawsuit on Monday. The suit alleges that voters in the more rural Mohave County were disenfranchised by the malfeasance of Maricopa County election...

It's been 13 years since James Cameron's Avatar beat his previous blockbuster, Titanic, to become the highest grossing film ever released. But now at long last he has returned to the jungle moon of Pandora - and roughly 13 years have passed there, too. Jake Sully (Sam Worthington), his mind now permanently installed in a blue alien Na'vi body, is the chief of his clan, and he and his wife Neytiri (Zoe Saldaña) have four children. They spend their time lolling around in skimpy loincloths, thinking about how happy they are, but inevitably their Edenic and slightly risqué tranquility ends...

The Biden administration announced Tuesday that it will work to close gaps in the physical barriers along the southwest border and fix environmental and other issues with the Trump-era wall construction amid growing concerns about the federal government's ability to handle high levels of unauthorized migration. Officials said the latest work, authorized by Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas, will focus on Arizona, California and Texas and is aimed at addressing safety and environmental concerns brought on by the building of new or upgraded barriers along the border with Mexico. Installing drainage systems, adding safety features to roadways and remediating some...

In a new study published in the journal PLOS One, a group of researchers based in the United States found that the odds of developing greater amounts of antibodies to the coronavirus could be two times higher among those who experienced altered smell and taste post infection. At the beginning of the Covid-19 pandemic, loss of smell and taste were identified as one of the key symptoms of a SARS-CoV-2 infection. It has been reported that loss of smell is experienced by at least 43% up to 62% of people who had Covid-19 and tends to occur in the early...

As a Minneapolis resident I have seen my share of graft, lunacy, gaslighting, self-sabotage, and mindless destruction in government. Our city is a mess, our County is profligate beyond measure, our unelected Metropolitan Council is a graft machine, and our state government has never seen a boondoggle it didn’t want to blow money on. But few government decisions have been as nakedly cynical as the one I just read about in my local newspaper, the Star Tribune. It really takes the cake. For decades our local Lefties have been itching to build a light rail system to cover the region....

There was great hoopla yesterday as Biden signed the "Respect for Marriage Act." Same sex marriage has been legal since 2015. Interracial marriage has been legal since 1967. The law is not as groundbreaking as some might think. The law does not force any state to allow same-sex marriages but does require it to recognize a union that occurred in another state. Under the new law, every state will have to recognize legal marriages regardless of “sex, race, ethnicity or national origin” and to guarantee access to federal spousal benefits and protections. Some of it is likely to be struck...

Congratulations. As we approach 2023, you are now completing and have survived the third year of the largest, most globally coordinated psychological warfare operation in the history of mankind. During this period, on a daily basis, you have experienced the US Government and many western nations deploying highly refined, military-grade fifth generation warfare technologies against their own citizens. For those who have avoided the jabs which are neither safe nor effective, you deserve a medal for your ability to see through the fog of information warfare. Those, like me, who trusted the FDA and took the initial jabs only to...

Skate Canada has revised its policy to allow any two athletes, regardless of their gender identities, for domestic competition. On Tuesday, Canada’s governing body for figure skating announced that the definition of “team” in the podium pathway for pair and ice dance teams would be changed to “a team consists of two skaters.” The previous definition of ‘team’ was one woman and one man. According to the news release, this definition was “inconsistent with Skate Canada’s vision of Skating for Everyone and Skate Canada’s commitment to non-discrimination, including non-discrimination based on gender identity.” Skate Canada’s Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, and Accessibility...

A US cardiologist claims in an interview spreading across social media that people who have received the Covid-19 vaccine could pass on messenger RNA (mRNA) to the unvaccinated through close contact, causing harm. This is false; the shots approved in the US and Canada do not contain live, weakened versions of the coronavirus, and the studies referenced in the video do not prove the jabs pose a threat. "If your (sic) unvaccinated, see this update on the potential threats to you from those mRNA vaccinated via shedding," says a November 30, 2022 Instagram post sharing footage of Peter McCullough, a...

If you passed on getting the COVID vaccine, you might be a lot more likely to get into a car crash. Or at least those are the findings of a new study published this month in The American Journal of Medicine. During the summer of 2021, Canadian researchers examined the encrypted government-held records of more than 11 million adults, 16% of whom hadn’t received the COVID vaccine. They found that the unvaccinated people were 72% more likely to be involved in a severe traffic crash—in which at least one person was transported to the hospital—than those who were vaccinated. That’s...
