In a new study published in the journal PLOS One, a group of researchers based in the United States found that the odds of developing greater amounts of antibodies to the coronavirus could be two times higher among those who experienced altered smell and taste post infection.
At the beginning of the Covid-19 pandemic, loss of smell and taste were identified as one of the key symptoms of a SARS-CoV-2 infection. It has been reported that loss of smell is experienced by at least 43% up to 62% of people who had Covid-19 and tends to occur in the early stages after catching the virus. Out of this, around 20% might have experienced no other symptom other than an impaired sense of smell.

Of course the elephant in the room, is who was vaxxed.
If the anosmia is due to continuing inflammation, it might make sense that you would have more antibodies...
But I think most folks would rather treat the inflammation and get their sense of smell back.
definitely higher levels of antismell
I had the WuFlu in late ‘21 and lost all sense of smell for a time. Most foods tasted like wet cardboard, except for meat. Meats tasted like they had been laying out in the sun too long. Not good. Texture was the only thing that made eating interesting. Praise be that it was temporary. No covid for me since then (and I have not been careful).

I probably had the early Covid between Thanksgiving and Christmas, before we knew anything about Covid. I had a lot of other symptoms, however the lack of appetite and sense of smell was there until the end of Jan., 2021 the next year.
Recently, this past Thanksgiving, my wife and I had documented cases of the current Covid variant. post Thanksgiving.
We had the lack of sense of smell and taste. I had the loss for about a week, and my wife had a loss for about 10 days.
Dont worry. Schwabs gruel will taste like ass and you will be happy.

Double-vaxxed, booster, flu shot, shingles shot.......
Clearly..........
So nice!!!
So nice......(THUD!!!)
Actually, this has been a pet project of mine since my boy tested positive and lost his smell for months.
It's anecdotal to be sure, but I may publish my findings here by the end of the year to hopefully stimulate someone to do the hard research.
Fyi, I read the article and it's total BS. Utter horseshit reporting on an incompetent study.
To-wit:
To gain a better understanding of how people with altered smell and taste might have developed antibodies after a Covid-19 infection, the researchers enrolled 309 patients who are a part of the NewYork-Presbyterian/Columbia University Irving Medical Center convalescent plasma trials.followed by,
However, a major limitation of the study is that the participants had themselves reported whether or not they experienced a loss of smell and taste during and after a Covid-19 infection. That means several participants might have faced difficulties in recalling whether their sense of smell or taste was altered or not. Also, the data of twas collected during multiple ongoing lockdowns and poor availability of Covid-19 tests — opening up the possibility of a severe underreporting of symptoms.Incredibly incompetent researchers (or researchers following instructions to muddy the waters).“Without objective testing, it is difficult to parse out whether a patient reporting taste disturbance may have an underlying issue solely attributable to smell dysfunction,” the researchers further noted.
