Snell declined to comment on whether DNA that did not belong to the four victims or two surviving roommates had been found at the scene.

But the rare cosmic event actually occurred 8.5 billion light years away from Earth, when the universe was just a third of its current age — and it has created more questions than answers....

NASA is canceling a planned satellite that was going to intensely monitor greenhouse gases over the Americas because it got too costly and complicated. But the space agency said it will still be watching human-caused carbon pollution but in different ways. NASA on Tuesday announced that its GeoCarb mission, which was supposed to be a low-cost satellite to monitor carbon dioxide, methane and how plant life changes over North and South America, was being killed because of cost overruns. When it was announced six years ago, it was supposed to cost $166 million, but the latest NASA figures show costs...

The Biden economy is a mess and it’s getting worse. Now even the far-left media can’t hide the mess. Why would any union member vote for Joe Biden? Today’s job numbers from ADP were horrible. The brakes came on abruptly for the private job market in November. …Companies added just 127,000 positions for the month, a steep reduction from the 239,000 the firm reported for October and well below the Dow Jones estimate for 190,000. It also was the lowest total since January 2021. This doesn’t bode well for either the Federal Reserve’s interest rate policies attempting to stem inflation...

Environmentalists on Wednesday accused the U.S. government of not doing enough to ensure the survival of the Rio Grande silvery minnow as drought tightens its grip on one of the longest rivers in the West. In a lawsuit filed in federal court, the group WildEarth Guardians asked a judge to force the Bureau of Reclamation and the Fish and Wildlife Service to reassess the effects of water management activities on the endangered fish. They also want federal officials to develop enforceable measures to keep dams and diversions along the river’s stretch through New Mexico’s most populated region from jeopardizing the...

It's The Great Reset.— PeterSweden (@PeterSweden7) November 17, 2022So far it appears that part of the “great restructuring” does not include super-rich “great reset” proponents not staying at five-star hotels, because Schwab was spotted at the DC Waldorf while definitely not planning to dine on...

The conservative apparel and lifestyle company behind last year’s viral “Let’s Go Brandon” wrapping paper is on target to double last year’s sales. The company behind the gift wrap, Freedom Speaks Up, has marketed the wrapping paper as a way to troll your liberal relatives over the holidays. In a press release about the massive sales, the owner of the company, Seth Weathers, said that he started making it on a whim in 2021 — but it resulted in over 500,000 sq.ft. of the novelty wrapping paper sold. “This year is going to be double what it was in 2021!”...

Deploying air marshals to border leaves US 'vulnerable to attack' during holiday travel season, official claims U.S. air marshals are reportedly staging a "mutiny" on the Biden administration over its immigration policies, as they plan to refuse mandatory deployment orders to the southern border and, therefore, face possible termination. Though refusing the order puts them at risk of termination, dozens of air marshals argue that abandoning their current assignments will leave American fliers more vulnerable to threats over the busy holiday travel season. Amid an influx of illegal immigrants held in custody, the Federal Air Marshal Service asked for volunteers...
