It was a schizoid Morning Joe today. On the one hand, Joe Scarborough and others defended NBC reporter Dasha Burns against criticism she has received from the liberal media for her comments on her interview with Fetterman. During the interview, Fetterman relied on closed captioning to understand her questions. In a subsequent NBC Nightly News appearance, Burns noted, "in small talk before the interview, without captioning, it wasn't clear he was understanding our conversation." But Morning Joe quickly pivoted to trashing Dr. Oz, Fetterman's Republican opponent in the US Senate race in Pennsylvania. The attack on Oz was capped by...

In the News: Interesting Developments from Jeffrey Sachs and Cardinal Gerhard Muller Well, this is interesting.... Jeffrey Sachs, no friend of Catholics, is actually exposing the truth about COVID and the NIH constructing viruses that are more lethal to humans -- "dangerous research." Government "creates stories." It doesn't care about the truth. "This is not real investigation." NIH showed "a lot of bad behavior." Fauci "played the bureaucratic heavy." Lancet (medical journal) said that, "There is a pathway that this could have come out of a lab for sure." The "Fauci shop has not told us the truth....We also...

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (AP) — Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis on Thursday issued an executive order expanding voting access for the midterm elections in three counties where Hurricane Ian destroyed polling places and displaced thousands of people. The move, which followed requests from Lee, Charlotte and Sarasota counties and voting rights groups, comes as Florida begins to undertake a massive recovery from the Category 4 hurricane that hit on Sept. 28 and leveled parts of the state’s southwest. The order extends the number of early voting days in the three counties and authorizes election supervisors to designate additional early voting locations, steps...

A New York woman has been arrested after allowing her 10-year-old son to get a large tattoo of his name in block letters across his forearm, police said. The boy was staying in a motel with his mother and older sibling when he learned that a man in neighboring room could give him a tattoo. His mother allowed him to go next door and get the tattoo and did not supervise him, police said. The tattoo was identified by the school nurse...

Explanation: What are those strange rings? Rich in dust, the rings are likely 3D shells -- but how they were created remains a topic of research. Where they were created is well known: in a binary star system that lies about 6,000 light years away toward the constellation of the Swan (Cygnus) -- a system dominated by the Wolf-Rayet star WR 140. Wolf-Rayet stars are massive, bright, and known for their tumultuous winds. They are also known for creating and dispersing heavy elements such as carbon which is a building block of interstellar dust. The other star in the binary...

The astronauts — NASA’s Kjell Lindgren, Bob Hines and Jessica Watkins, as well as Italian astronaut Samantha Cristoforetti with the European Space Agency — were scheduled to depart from the space station aboard a SpaceX Crew Dragon capsule Thursday morning. But NASA was forced to wave off the departure because of the unfavorable weather conditions back on Earth. NASA and SpaceX are now targeting Friday at 11:35 a.m. ET for the Crew Dragon’s departure, and splashdown off the coast of Florida could occur just a few hours later, at 4:50 pm ET, according to a NASA press release. The Crew...

"And he said, Come. And when Peter was come down out of the ship, he walked on the water, to go to Jesus. "But when he saw the wind boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink, he cried, saying, Lord, save me. "And immediately Jesus stretched forth his hand, and caught him, and said unto him, O thou of little faith, wherefore didst thou doubt? And when they were come into the ship, the wind ceased." Matthew, Chapter 14 1 At that time Herod the tetrarch heard of the fame of Jesus, 2 And said unto his servants, This...

Trump would use his testimony to showcase 'how Nancy Pelosi did not call up the National Guard' and other issues. EXCLUSIVE: Former President Trump "loves the idea of testifying" before the House select committee investigating January 6th, a source close to Trump told Fox News Digital just after the panel unanimously voted to subpoena him. The source said that if Trump complied with the subpoena and testified, he would "talk about how corrupt the election was, how corrupt the committee was, and how Nancy Pelosi did not call up the National Guard that Trump strongly recommended for her to do...

[Catholic Caucus] Pope Francis says ‘traditionalism’ is ‘infidelity’ to the Catholic Church and Vatican II‘Traditionalism’ is a form ‘of a Pelagian selfishness that puts our own tastes and plans above the love that pleases God, the simple, humble and faithful love that Jesus asked of Peter,’ said Pope Francis.VATICAN CITY (LifeSiteNews) – Marking the 60th anniversary of the start of the Second Vatican Council, Pope Francis attacked “traditionalism” as being “evidence … of infidelity” to the Catholic Church. The Argentinian Pontiff made his remarks in his homily during a Mass in St. Peter’s Basilica on October 10, marking the 60th anniversary...

The space is usually overflowing with designers, programmers and young Russians working on their start-ups. But since President Vladimir Putin announced a mobilisation of hundreds of thousands of young Russian men last month, the 33-year-old has lost much of his clientele. "Many have stopped coming," he told AFP by phone. Instead, they are filling the depleted ranks of Russia's army or they are among the tens of thousands of others who have fled south for neighbouring Kazakhstan.

Friends, in today’s Gospel, Jesus launches a blistering attack on the scholars of the Law.The Son teaches, heals, preaches to, and forgives those who feel far from the mercy of God. He is the hand that the Father stretches out to sinners and to those who are lost. And by the same token, he is the judge of a sinful world. When the light of God’s forgiving love appears, the shadows of sin become all the deeper and more obvious. In light of him, there is nowhere to hide. And Jesus, the Word of the Father, gives voice to this...

Just a few short years ago Biden's son Hunter got a board position at the Ukrainian gas company Burisma Holdings for quite the yearly salary and despite having no relevant experience. Not long after Ukraine’s then-Prosecutor General Viktor Shokin began investigating Burisma at which point Biden threatened to withhold $1 billion in aid to Ukraine unless they fired Shokin. https://youtu.be/rPzLenTngBQ?t=88Nothing illegal there, eh? Just extortion is all. And it looks like Bumbling Biden is up to his old tricks. Saudi Arabia says that Bumblin' Joe is trying to get them to delay a cut in oil productions for just a...

Ammon Bundy mystifies many Idahoans. To them his opposition to authority is over the top. The media has presented him as a troublemaking, radical, gun-toting, militant, criminal, anti-government buffoon – or at best an ignorant cowboy. Whatever he is, he is tiring. One may ask: What could motivate a person to behave as he has? The answer to that question begins in 1877, when Ammon Bundy’s ancestors settled the Virgin River country in southern Nevada. Upon arriving, they dutifully obtained legal water and grazing rights from the state. In the 1870’s the great American explorer, John Wesley Powell, proclaimed these...

America loves a comeback story. When you grow up in western Pennsylvania you are surrounded by some of the most compelling narratives in our history. In Elementary School, local students take field trips to Ft. Necessity to learn about the French and Indian War. We are reminded of the outgunned, under equipped, and ill-trained Pennsylvania soldiers who won the American Revolution under George Washington. We hear about Andrew Carnegie coming to America with nothing and building the greatest steel empire that ever existed. We adapt these stories to the generational Pittsburgh legends like Bill Mazeroski’s hitting the 1960 World Series...

If the “progressive” politicians in Wellington have their way, New Zealand’s cows and sheep will soon be taxed for the flatulence they produce. It is one of the most outrageous proposals to come of the hysteria over “climate change.” The liberal-dominated government of New Zealand is apparently willing to jeopardize their countrymen’s livelihood and very food supply over livestock that they claim are emitting too much “greenhouse gas” into the atmosphere via belching, farting and urinating. New Zealand website Stuff reported that the scheme unveiled this week will impose levies on livestock herders, as a means of presumably offsetting the...
