Britain’s King Charles III was formally proclaimed king and “Defender of The Faith” in a weekend ceremony, and in his first speech affirmed his “particular relationship and responsibility towards the Church of England,” even as he pledged to serve the citizens of Britain and its realms, “whatever may be your background or beliefs.” In a ceremony accompanied by centuries-old pageantry in London’s St. James Palace, an official known as the Garter King of Arms proclaimed that:“… the Prince Charles Philip Arthur George is now, by the death of our late sovereign of happy memory, become our only lawful and rightful...

The Aug. 8 Mar-a-Lago Raid and President Joe Biden’s dystopian Independence Hall speech to start September began a transparent autumn effort to thrust former President Donald Trump back into the spotlight. Why you ask? Because Biden and Democrats much prefer to make the crucial midterm elections a referendum on someone not currently holding office than their party’s disastrous policies. Any Trump-related headline, they believe, can distract not only from Democratic debacles but Republicans’ superior plans for America should the GOP reclaim power. A recap shouldn’t be necessary, but the Reader’s Digest version includes Team Biden mishandling COVID-19 policies, letting teachers’...

By its campaign and conduct of the 2020 election, the ruling class ceased pretending to be part of a constitutional republic. By treating fellow Americans as inferiors through word and deed, its members renounced their common citizenship with us. Eschewing persuasion, they set about compelling obedience to an openly manipulated election.

President Joe Biden campaigned on a promise to unite the nation, but his speech earlier this month in Philadelphia has Americans divided. In his September 1 speech, Biden said: “Donald Trump and the MAGA Republicans represent an extremism that threatens the very foundations of our republic." The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone and online survey finds that 48% of Likely U.S. voters agree with that quote, including 36% who Strongly Agree. Forty-seven percent (47%) disagree with Biden’s slam on “MAGA Republicans,” including 39% who Strongly Disagree. (To see survey question wording, click here.)

Latest update from The New Atlas focusing on the realities of Ukraine's recent tactical victory vs. the enormous structural cost that likely leads to speeding up to Ukraine's eventual strategic failure. Ukraine lost 5-7 brigades (20,000 to 28,000 men) in just that short 10 day period of "counter offensive." Makes the interesting point that Russia's decision to withdraw eliminated Ukraine's ability to significantly reduce Russia's manpower or weaponry. By enticing Ukraine to come out of their covered defensive positions and into the open it has provided an easier target for Russia to attack by air and artillery Ukraine's stretched out...

As students return to the classroom Monday morning in the Philadelphia public school district, they will now have the option of wearing face masks instead of being mandated to. According to 6ABC, face masks are now optional but strongly encouraged where the district only required masks for the first 10 days of the school year. But according to the news outlet, district leaders are saying the mask mandate will return if the COVID-19 Community Level reaches the high level based on CDC standards. Masking may also be required in certain instances, like a school or classroom outbreak or after extended...

One of the last Republican House primaries of the midterm cycle has emerged as a proxy battle between House GOP leaders and factions of the Republican party. Candidates vying to face vulnerable Democratic Rep. Chris Pappas in New Hampshire’s 1st Congressional District are jockeying over how Trumpy and conservative they are, as millions of outside dollars are being poured into the race and attacks have gotten personal in the run-up to the Tuesday primary. Matt Mowers, a former Trump appointee in the State Department, has the endorsement of House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) and Minority Whip Steve Scalise (R-La.),...

President Joe Biden never spoke with former President Barack Obama about running in 2024 to defeat former President Donald Trump in a potential rematch, Politico Magazine reported Monday. The news contradicts the Hill’s reporting in April that Biden had told Obama he would run in 2024 because he is the only Democrat who can defeat Trump. “I believe he thinks he’s the only one who can beat Trump. I don’t think he thinks there’s anyone in the Democratic party who can beat Trump and that’s the biggest factor,” a source with knowledge of the conversation told the Hill.

Blue Origin launched its 23rd New Shepard rocket mission this morning, featuring science payloads designed for experimentation. The mission needed early, however, after it was aborted during the first ascent stage of the rocket, prompting the abort process to take over and firing the parachutes on the capsule, which drifted back to Earth shortly after take-off. This was not a crewed mission, so there was no one on board the capsule, though it is the same vehicle that the company uses for its private spaceflight tourist missions. This marks the first time ever that Blue Origin has encountered a problem...

The shirts immediately went on sale on Fetterman’s campaign website. “My name is John FetterWoman!” he said as the crowd cheered. Queen Elizabeth II, who died Thursday after a historic reign as monarch of the United Kingdom, was a steadfast ally of the United States, notably breaking tradition by singing the U.S. national anthem just days after 9/11. The queen joined a crowd of thousands in singing “The Star-Spangled Banner” during a memorial service at St. Paul’s Cathedral in London for the victims on Sept. 14, 2001. Richard Kay, a columnist for the Daily Mail, wrote at the time about how unusual this was for a monarch, saying, “The Queen does not ‘sing’ national anthems. Her mouth never opens when they...
