Firefly Aerospace is aiming to launch its second rocket from Vandenberg on Sunday after their first launch exploded.
The Firefly Alpha Rocket is scheduled to launch from Vandenberg Space Force Base's Space Launch Complex 2-West in a 3:00 - 7:00 p.m. launch window.
Just over a year ago, the rocket's first launch ended in an explosion about 2 minutes and 30 seconds after launching, sending debris into the backyards of residential homes as far as Orcutt. There were no reported injuries.
The private rocket company stated the rocket had experienced an anomaly during the first stage ascent.
Alpha Flight 2: To The Black is Firefly’s will attempt to launch multiple satellites to low Earth orbit. Alpha will first insert into an elliptical transfer orbit, coast to apogee, and perform a circularization burn.

Making Aerospace Grounded Again. Way to go! Americans just love national failures.
Bezos and NASA need to quash the Starship because if it were to become operational it would negate Artemis and Firefly by costing millions less and lifting multiple times more tonnage to orbit more often. So the EPA and FDA denied SpaceX permits for Boca Chica, TX facility, forcing then to build at the Cape, but still denying them the launch permit indefinitely.
They need to get that hot mechanic down into the engine room and fix it.

Bezos just had a booster go boom at Q-Max. Blue Origin is back to the drawing boards. Would have posted about it but management is following Twitters shadow ban brilliance against my account. Oh well, their loss.
