The appointment of a man as Scotland's first "period dignity officer" has provoked widespread criticism. Critics say the job should have gone to a woman and former tennis star Martina Navratilova has labelled the appointment of Jason Grant "f****** ridiculous". Mr Grant, a former personal trainer, has been given the job of promoting access to free sanitary products in schools and colleges across the Tay region. The role also includes discussing issues around the menopause. His appointment comes as Scotland becomes the first country in the world to introduce a law to widen access, free of charge, to sanitary products....

Authorities erected barricades around the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) headquarters office in Washington, D.C. over the weekend. The bureau claims it has seen an increase in threats against the FBI and its agents in the wake of the FBI’s raid on former President Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago home last week. Associated Press reporter Mike Balsamo tweeted photos of the new barricades around the FBI headquarters. “With an increasing number of threats against the FBI and agents, including an armed man who tried to breach a field office in Ohio, officials have put up barricades around FBI headquarters in DC. Similar...

(CNSNews.com) - The Office of the Inspector General for the Department of Justice released a report in June 2018 that stated that the FBI had “identified ’81 email chains containing approximately 193 individual emails that were classified from the CONFIDENTIAL to TOP SECRET levels…and sent to or from [Hillary] Clinton’s personal server.” The IG cited the information from a “letterhead memorandum” (LHM) that the FBI produced about its investigation of the matter.

BY JOSEPH BOSCO, OPINION CONTRIBUTOR Former President Trump seems determined to detract from the substantial accomplishments of his administration, especially its transformation of critical U.S.-Taiwan-China relations. His behavior since the 2020 election also has deeply damaged the reputation and prospects of the Republican Party, which honored him twice with its presidential nomination and defended him loyally against both partisan attacks and legitimate criticism. Most importantly, Trump’s actions have seriously undermined American democracy at home and its image abroad. On China and Taiwan, Trump’s no-nonsense approach startled China’s communist regime, which was accustomed to decades of bipartisan engagement that brought prosperity...

Gay men and transgender women living with HIV or on pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) who took the antibiotic doxycycline within 72 hours after sex had a significantly lower risk of gonorrhea, chlamydia and syphilis, according to a study presented at the 24th International AIDS Conference in Montreal. “Using doxycycline after condomless sex has potential as an effective strategy to substantially reduce sexually transmitted infections in targeted populations with ongoing high rates of STIs,” study investigator Annie Luetkemeyer, MD, of the University of California at San Francisco, told POZ. “This isn’t meant for everyone,” she said at an AIDS 2022 media briefing.

Early in the 2016 presidential campaign, Republicans in the United States were more likely than Democrats to value experience and a proven record in a presidential candidate. But that changed with the rise of political newcomer Donald Trump. Today, nearly a third of Republicans and Republican-leaning independents (32%) say they like a political leader who has no previous government experience, compared with just 10% of Democrats and Democratic leaners, according to a survey conducted in July by Pew Research Center. Among the public overall, 20% of U.S. adults say they like leaders without prior experience in government. A larger share...

Attorney General Merrick Garland reportedly waited weeks to approve the search warrant of former President Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago private residence. While the establishment media suggested “classified documents relating to nuclear weapons were among the items the FBI” sought in the raid of Mar-a-Lago, it took weeks for Garland to make up his mind on whether to approve the warrant, the Wall Street Journal reported Tuesday. “The decision had been the subject of weeks of meetings between senior Justice Department and FBI officials, the people said,” the Journal reported.

Eric Trump, the second son of the former president, said his family is in possession of surveillance tapes of the FBI raid at Donald Trump's Mar-a-Lago residence in Florida, and this footage will "absolutely" be released "at the right time." "Will you—you still have the surveillance tape, is that correct? Will you—are you allowed to share that with the country?" Fox News host Sean Hannity asked Eric Trump on Monday. "Absolutely, Sean. At the right time," Eric Trump replied, adding that all law enforcement officers, including FBI agents, should wear body cameras for transparency reasons.

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis criticized the FBI’s raid of Mar-a-Lago at a rally in Arizona, asserting that federal law enforcement agencies are being “weaponized” against political enemies. Stumping for Arizona gubernatorial candidate Kari Lake, DeSantis accused the department of having gone “totally off the rails” with its raid of former President Donald Trump’s Florida home. “These agencies have now been weaponized to be used against people that the government doesn’t like,” DeSantis said. “And you look at the raid at Mar-a-Lago.” Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis claimed at a rally in Arizona that federal agencies are being "weaponized" against political opponents....

Los Angeles County reported Monday that over 27% of the signatures submitted on petitions to recall District Attorney George Gascón were invalid — after reporting that less than 1% of mail-in ballots were invalid in the 2020 election. The county reported that it rejected 195,783 of the 715,833 signatures submitted, roughly 27.3%. The reasons given included that some voters were found to be unregistered; incorrect addresses were given; or signatures did not match those on file.

That brings us to the second question: Why weren’t the passports listed on the inventory? FBI agents certainly know what passports look like. The inventory is a legal record of everything the FBI took out of Trump’s home in executing the search. There may be some understandable fuzziness on the identity of each and every single sheet of paper in those boxes, but passports are unique and instantly recognizable — and look nothing like the documents in question.

The Left and even some in the Republican establishment are pushing a narrative that Mastriano is an EXTREME candidate. Ironically, they are also calling Dr. Mehmet Oz, the Republican candidate for US Senate, “extreme.” Doug Mastriano is a 30-year member of the military with top security clearances, a family man, and a state senator who sits down and talks with not only his constituents, but the general populace across the state? The main complaint of this candidate seems to be focused around the Roe v. Wade decision. Senator Mastriano has made a public statement that the US Supreme Court has...
