Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis criticized the FBI’s raid of Mar-a-Lago at a rally in Arizona, asserting that federal law enforcement agencies are being “weaponized” against political enemies.
Stumping for Arizona gubernatorial candidate Kari Lake, DeSantis accused the department of having gone “totally off the rails” with its raid of former President Donald Trump’s Florida home.
“These agencies have now been weaponized to be used against people that the government doesn’t like,” DeSantis said. “And you look at the raid at Mar-a-Lago.” Florida Gov. The GOP firebrand and potential 2024 presidential nominee then listed instances where he believed the FBI engaged in politically motivated activity or inaction.
DeSantis said the FBI did not probe Hillary Clinton’s server but promoted the “false conspiracy theory” that Trump had colluded with Russia.
He also asserted that the agency was “sicced on parents going to school board meetings,” apparently referring to a Virginia mom’s claim in October related to her and other parents’ protest of a school board meeting.

Why would you jump to that conclusion?
This is spiraling rapidly. The Left sicks the FBI on their enemies, their enemies point out and complain that the FBI is being turned into a State Police, the FBI investigates those pointing this out, and on and on.
Something is going to give here. In the past, the FBI would back off proclaiming that the critics were just being paranoid. Now? The FBI doubles down and gives ammo to the critics, no longer caring if you know what they are doing and no longer caring if it is wrong.
Sundance will trash Deaantis anyway.

I think in the end, he figured out that silence was not helping him overall, only hurting him, so he spoke out.
There was an article about his silence by Sundance (At The Conservative Tree House) that illustrated the peril. Sundance is no squishy Conservative that I can tell, but he condemned the silence and began assigning possible motives to the silence.
Some people here took exception to it, but I understand the dynamic there. Saying nothing only engenders infighting.
Better that he come out and opine on it. Everyone knows DeSantis is a conservative, but because of that apparent mantle, his silence only invited speculation IMO.
It is a train wreck in slow motion. There might be half of the FBI who believe the other half has destabilized the organization and made it a political tool. But you can’t allow the mechanism to continue to exist. It has to be broken up and probably a quarter of their force given permanent exit papers.
There’s a massive period in 2025 for four years where the whole DC structure will be taken part.
I might be wrong, but I believe DeSantis spoke out against the raid on the day it happened.

I think the answer is obvious and Laura Ingraham gave it away....
We are now told that the country has “Trump fatigue” and voters want another candidate because they are tired of hearing about Trump.
It factored into the 2020 election too..... voters wanted a change from the constant hysterics of the left and newspapers coast to coast. Many people are exhausted with the news and the news is a constant flurry of “Trump this” or “Trump that”.
Psychology 101.
The left can use every organ they control (they control most of them) to wear down the sheeple AND keep the focus on the accusations against Trump (and his supporters) while ignoring inconvenient stories like the economy or their own scandals.
