As Jesus hung on the cross, dying for the sin of the world, two criminals hung on either side of Him. Condemned for their crimes, they too would die that day. But one of them ultimately recognized who Jesus was. It was that criminal who called Him “Lord”. The Greek word for Lord Is “Kyrios” which is a title given to God, the Messiah. And...

For years, Saudi oil ministers and royals have sidestepped one of the most important questions the energy market faces: What is the long-term upper limit of the kingdom’s oilfields? The guesstimate was that they could always pump more, and for longer; if the Saudis knew the answer, they kept it secret. And then, almost casually on Saturday, Prince Mohammed broke the news, revealing that the ultimate maximum capacity is 13 million barrels a day. Prince Mohammed framed his answer emphasizing that the world — and not just countries like Saudi Arabia — needs to invest in fossil-fuels production over the...

Going for the Gold of God! Jesus loved His Father so much that he was willing to take off his pure golden crown. Before he began his life of sacrifice, he went to a wedding with his family. It was a time for him to enjoy being with people. The first miracle of turning water into wine was a time to savor drinking the wine before he, as the Vine, was going to be crushed into the vat of human sin. At his trial, Roman soldiers beat a crown of thorns into his head. As blood dripped into his eyes...

Charging a former president with crimes would be an extraordinary development in American history and carries the risk of forever reshaping our politics as well as the very future of the nation. It should not be undertaken lightly. But former President Trump's multifaceted attempt to overthrow the results of the 2020 election that culminated with him inciting violent mobs to attack the Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021, as Congress was certifying Joe Biden’s victory, was also an extraordinary development in American history — one that nearly destroyed our democracy. Why is it that the women with the least likelihood of getting pregnant are the ones most worried about having abortions?”…
