Dr Anthony Fauci has performed his latest COVID flip-flop after revealing he now has 'an open mind' to claims the virus leaked from a Chinese lab. The White House COVID tsar, who has long insisted that COVID was likely transmitted from an animal to its first human patient, made the admission during a Fox News interview with Bret Baier on Friday. Fauci admitted: 'We have an open mind but it looks very much like this was a natural occurrence, but you keep an open mind.'

President Gotabaya Rajapaksa's effort to reduce pollutants by banning chemical fertilizers has had devastating impacts on his nation's economy. Inflation has shot up to a 50% annual rate. Food prices are up 80%. Transportation costs are up by 128%. A hungry and angry population is demonstrating against the government. Troops have been called out to suppress the discontent. Rajapaksa's dream of replacing chemical fertilizers with manure and return to fully organic farming ignores the superior performance of chemical fertilizers and the downside of his "all-natural" future. "We want a society where environmental and social justice goals supplant the profit-motive for...

Amazon is continuing its expansion into the healthcare industry, announcing the acquisition of One Medical clinics in a $3.9 billion deal. The New York Times reports that while Amazon CEO Andy Jassy has focused on driving down costs, the company is still continuing to expand into areas it believes could be profitable. One such area is healthcare. Breitbart News recently reported an internal team at Amazon is developing a cancer vaccine in partnership with the Seattle-based Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center. The project is reportedly already recruiting patients to participate in an FDA-approved clinical trial. On Thursday, the company announced its...

Rep. Jim Banks (R-IN) suggested the January 6 House Committee has not lived up to its billing. Instead, he said it has “exonerated” former President Donald Trump and highlighted the double standard held by Democrats. “[T]he verdict is in,” he said. “The January 6 committee is a complete dud. Remember, this was all about blocking Republicans from winning back the House majority and keeping Donald Trump’s name off the ballot when he runs again in 2024. They’re going to end up spending over $10 million. They’ve interviewed over a thousand people. They have a hundred thousand documents in their possession,...

After former Trump adviser Steve Bannon was found guilty Friday of contempt of Congress, attorney and former Harvard law professor Alan Dershowitz was on Newsmax complaining about the jury, calling the conviction “entirely in violation of the Constitution,” and predicting that a higher court will “very likely” overturn it. “The only provision of the Constitution, which appears basically twice, is trial by jury in and in front of a fair jury. Number one, he didn’t have a fair jury. Number two, the judge took his defenses away from him,” claimed Dershowtiz. Bannon’s legal team chose not to call a single...

Yes, you read correctly. There are (so far) 33 friends and relatives dead or sick since our wedding eight months ago. I’ve done the research. All 33 were vaxxed. Every one of them. This is a “vaccine death and disease cluster.” This is like the “Love Canal” cancer cluster of the 1970s. It can’t be ignored when you see so many people dead, or very ill in just one group. But it has nothing to do with our wedding. Open your eyes. This is happening everywhere. Non-Covid deaths are up dramatically in the United States (and all over the world)....

“They took all the trees and put them in a tree museum / And they charged the people a dollar and a half just to see them.” — “Big Yellow Taxi” by Joni Mitchell. Many of us are old enough to remember a time when triple digit temperatures outside of Death Valley was considered freakish and a threat to the long term prospects of humanity. These days, 111 degrees in Lawton, Okla., or 110 degrees in Abilene, Tx., or 104 degrees in London is the price of maintaining a robust economy. While a fossil fuels-based economy always privileges profits over people...

President Biden’s physician stopped the commander-in-chief’s use of heart medications Thursday after he began to take Paxlovid to treat COVID-19, White House officials said — despite the fact that doing so elevates the risk of dangerous blood clots. Dr. Ashish Jha, the White House coronavirus coordinator, said at a press briefing that it’s “very standard” to discontinue the medications during a five-day regimen of the antiviral Paxlovid.

The first major peer-reviewed study of monkeypox infections has found that the virus is primarily being transmitted through the sexual activity of gay and bisexual men in the United States and around the world. The Journal of New England Medicine on Thursday published a study that looked at monkeypox infection across 16 countries between April and June, when cases began to emerge in countries outside of Africa. The study reported on 528 infections diagnosed between April 27 and June 24, of which 98 percent were in gay or bisexual men with a median age of 38. Of these cases, 95...

New York isn’t the only state with an inexplicable own-recognizance story today. Fox News reports that two fentanyl traffickers captured by California failed to show up for their court date yesterday. Police found 150,000 tablets of the dangerous narcotic in their possession during the arrest, and it looked like law enforcement had hobbled an important distribution node for the lethal drug on June 24.Despite holding $750,000 in street value of fentanyl, the California court considered the pair “low risk” and withdrew the requirement for a bond on bail. And no one should be surprised by what happened next:Two accused drug...

As I’ve pointed out a couple of times recently, China’s zero Covid lockdowns continue to impact hundreds of millions of people throughout the country, even though it’s having a negative impact on the country’s economy. But there’s some indication that the impact could be much worse over the long term than it is in the short term. In May the South China Morning Post reported on the uptick in professionals looking to leave China.Emigration consultants in China have seen a rise in enquiries in recent months, with a noticeable spike since the end of March when outbreaks of the Omicron...

It isn’t a huge ruling by the Supreme Court but it is a defeat for the Biden administration’s immigration enforcement policy, at least a temporary defeat. The interesting points of the ruling include the fact that conservative Justice Amy Coney Barrett sided with the three liberal justices. It is also the first time the newest justice’s name appears on an order released by the Supreme Court. On Thursday, the Supreme Court denied the Biden administration’s stay request to reinstate an immigration enforcement policy that allows DHS to focus its resources on certain groups of illegal immigrants for deportation over others. At...

Former President Trump’s top allies are preparing to radically reshape the federal government if he is re-elected, purging potentially thousands of civil servants and filling career posts with loyalists to him and his "America First” ideology, people involved in the discussions tell Axios. The impact could go well beyond typical conservative targets such as the Environmental Protection Agency and the Internal Revenue Service. Trump allies are working on plans that would potentially strip layers at the Justice Department — including the FBI, and reaching into national security, intelligence, the State Department and the Pentagon, sources close to the former president...
