Global oil prices could reach a “stratospheric” $380 a barrel if US and European penalties prompt Russia to inflict retaliatory crude output cuts, JPMorgan Chase analysts warned. The Group of Seven leading industrial nations are working out a complicated mechanism to cap the price fetched by Russian oil in an attempt to tighten the screws on President Vladimir Putin amid Russia's invasion of Ukraine. But Moscow can afford to reduce daily crude production by 5 million barrels without excessively damaging the Russian economy, JPMorgan analysts including Natasha Kaneva wrote in a note to clients. For much of the rest of the world, however,...

On Thursday, Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg announced that the Department of Transportation would be spending at least $1 billion to address so-called “racism” in America’s public roads. As reported by the Daily Caller, the program will be called Reconnecting Communities, which the Transportation Department calls the “first of its kind.” The new initiative says it will focus on rebuilding communities that were “racially segregated or divided by road projects.” Claiming, with no evidence, that the design of the interstate highway system in the 1950s was specifically meant to negatively impact African-American areas, Buttigieg said that the program will provide financial...

The mass shootings occurred in the Loop and West Garfield Park. A Chicago police officer was among 25 people shot Friday in Chicago. Two people were killed and seven others wounded in separate mass shootings. The officer was “ambushed” and shot as he stepped off an elevator while answering a call of a domestic disturbance in Little Italy, the city’s top cop said. Hours earlier, two people were killed and three others wounded in a mass shooting outside a fire station in the Loop, in the same area where four people were shot in early May. In the city’s second...

He is accused of murdering the victims, stealing from them, and then selling their belongings online. Chemirmir is believed to be Texas’s deadliest serial killer. “‘Beware of the false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly are ravenous wolves’” (Matthew 7:15). False prophets are most dangerous because of their deceptive nature. We can easily recognize and defend against an enemy that poses for what it is. But when that enemy appears as a friend, it is much harder to defend against. Heretics and apostates make no claim to biblical truth and are recognizable. But deceivers disguise themselves as true shepherds. They give the appearance of orthodoxy and claim to teach the truth, but their intent is to deceive and destroy God’s people....

We know that all through the Bible, the number seven is associated with God’s eternal purpose. Therefore, I believe that when God said to one of his prophets, “Yet I have reserved seven thousand in Israel, all whose knees have not bowed to Baal, and every mouth that has not kissed him” (1 Kings 19:18, NKJV), he was simply denoting everyone who made up his remnant. The people he sets aside for himself could number 70 or 7 million. What matters is that they are wholly given to him. So, what are the characteristics of this remnant? Here are three...

Jehu got up and went into the...

So we finally reached the Fawn Hall moment of the January 6 committee spectacle. What took them so long? The portrait of Donald Trump as Mad Max or a Grand Theft Auto character just might carry him to victory in 2024. In any case, better stock up on ketchup. And speaking of Mad Max, the Supreme Court finished its current term by running over several more liberal totems without breaking a sweat.

IPray For The Peace of JerusalemGenesis 29Jacob’s Children 31 When the Lord saw that Leah was not loved, he enabled her to conceive, but Rachel remained childless. 32 Leah became pregnant and gave birth to a son. She named him Reuben,[b] for she said, “It is because the Lord has seen my misery. Surely my husband will love me now.” 33 She conceived again, and when she gave birth to a son she said, “Because the Lord heard that I am not loved, he gave me this one too.” So she named him Simeon.[c] 34 Again she conceived, and when...

Totten’s recusal memo would shed light on what Whitmer and her office knew and when they knew it—which is why the Justice Department appears desperate to keep it under wraps. A federal judge on Thursday ordered a new trial for two men accused of conspiring to kidnap Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer in 2020. In April, a Grand Rapids jury acquitted two other men charged in the scheme after defense attorneys successfully argued their clients had been entrapped by the FBI. The jury could not reach a unanimous verdict for Adam Fox, the alleged ringleader, and Barry Croft, Jr.; the Justice...

On June 24th, 2022, one day after the long-awaited Supreme Court decision in the New York State Rifle & Pistol Association v. Bruen case, the Office of the Attorney General of California sent out a legal alert about how the case affects the issue of concealed carry permits in the state. Justice Clarence Thomas, in Bruen, set out considerable guidance about how “shall-issue” regimes need to issue permits in order to be considered abiding by Second Amendment. From page 36, footnote 9:Rather, it appears that these shall-issue regimes, which often require applicants to undergo a background check or pass a firearms...

The adage "be careful of what you wish for, you may just get it" most certainly applies to recent efforts by black political leaders to expand ballot access. Their reasoning seems alluring: voting has been their ticket to progress, and the more blacks who vote, the greater the progress. A corollary is that such expansion would also help their political allies, notably Hispanics and other minorities of color, and thus build a mighty coalition. Moreover, open borders bring more Hispanics, and this will, eventually, swell yet further this alliance which, it is assumed, will be led by blacks. Reality may...

YONGIN, South Korea – In the rural township of Wonsam in Yongin, a county 40 kilometers south of Seoul, local residents are awaiting seismic changes after a groundbreaking ceremony for a semiconductor, or chip, cluster set to be held this month. “This area has been farmland for as long as I can remember,” remarked one elderly resident. “Why they chose to build something like that here is beyond me. Now, everything will change.” Change is, indeed, coming. The land area of the cluster, which was first announced in 2019, will makes it the single biggest project in semiconductor history, according...
