The date: June 29, 1992. The place: the Amtrak station in Wilmington, Delaware. Two men spot one another. They wave; they smile; they run; they dash into one another’s arms. They can’t stop hugging. They are jubilant, ecstatic — literally moved to tears. Why? Because Roe v. Wade was just saved. And they played a crucial role. The two men are both U.S. senators: Joe Biden of Delaware and Warren Rudman of New Hampshire. “At first, I didn’t see Joe; then I spotted him waving at me from far down the platform,” recorded Rudman wistfully in his memoir, Combat: Twelve...

President Joe Biden addressed the nation from the White House's Cross Hall calling it 'a very solemn moment' and a 'sad day for the court and the country.' 'Today, the Supreme Court of the United States expressly took away a Constitutional right from the American people, that it had already recognized. They didn't limit it, they simply took it away. That's never been done to a right so important to so many Americans,' Biden said. 'But they did it.' 'Now with Roe gone, let's be very clear, the health and life of women in this nation are now at risk,'...

KWTX) - Federal agents on Thursday raided three churches near military installations across the Southern U.S., including the Assembly of Prayer Christian Church in Killeen. “I can confirm the FBI was executing court authorized law enforcement activity today in the vicinity of the intersection of Massey St. and E. Rancier Ave., in Killeen, Texas. No additional information will be released at this time,” FBI Special Agent Carmen Portillo said in an emailed statement to KWTX.

A large aluminum plant in Kentucky is temporarily halting production and laying off more than 600 workers due to rising energy costs. Century Aluminum has announced plans to shut down its Hawesville smelter for nine to 12 months starting in August. The plant, with about 628 workers, is the second-largest employer in Hancock County, the Owensboro Messenger-Inquirer reported. The county's judge-executive, Johnny Roberts, told the newspaper the company gave him no assurances the plant would reopen after that. Roberts said the company told him that its power costs have risen dramatically this year. Century Aluminum said the Hawesville plant is...

(Translation) Monsignor Héctor Aguer, Archbishop Emeritus of La Plata, Argentina, proposed a solution to the “conflict” that ensued after Pope Francis’ removal of Monsignor Daniel Fernández Torres as Bishop of Arecibo, Puerto Rico. “The Holy Father, speaking of conflicts that exist within some regions of the Church, has mentioned the one that continues in the Diocese of Arecibo, Puerto Rico. The problem originated with the removal of the Bishop, Monsignor Daniel Fernández Torres,” the prelate indicated in a communiqué about the case which he sent to ACI Prensa on Monday, June 20. The Archbishop disseminated this reflection one week after...

Canada could be on the cusp of a bizarre new era in which federal regulators will be empowered to figure out whether our online porn is sufficiently Canadian — and levy the requisite punishments if it isn’t. Bill C-11 — the Liberal push to subject much of the internet to CRTC control — has passed the House of Commons with NDP and Bloc Québécois support. Absent any major revisions by the Senate, the likes of Netflix, YouTube and even Instagram will soon be forced to subject their content to Canada’s famously onerous strictures on Canadian content. But less discussed is...

Today, the White House released the Biden-Harris Administration’s Blueprint for Addressing the Maternal Health Crisis, a whole-of-government approach to combatting maternal mortality and morbidity. For far too many mothers, complications related to pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum can lead to devastating health outcomes — including hundreds of deaths each year. This maternal health crisis is particularly devastating for Black women, Native women, and women in rural communities who all experience maternal mortality and morbidity at significantly higher rates than their white and urban counterparts. Under President Biden and Vice President Harris’s leadership, this Administration is now taking the next step towards...

You've gotta listen to this analysis by Tammy Bruce. She says the real fear of the Left is taking the fight back to the states again - federalism. This is the real reason why they wanted abortion to be "settled law" and hang it over the rest of the nation. Now, when people start seeing states banning abortions, you're going to see the remaining conservatives in blue states start demanding for change too at the state level. This is the way that it's supposed to be folks.

Yesterday, the Supreme Court struck down a New York law restricting gun-carrying rights for citizens. This has been seen as the most important ruling on guns in over a decade. The decision was 6-3 and allows more people to legally carry guns on the streets of the nation’s largest cities Justice Clarence Thomas wrote the following for the majority that the Constitution protects “an individual’s right to carry a handgun for self-defense outside the home.” In 43 States, the government issues licenses to carry based on objective criteria. But in six states, including New York, the government further conditions the...

Poliovirus has been detected in sewage samples collected in London between February and May, the U.K. Health Security Agency said today. While there have been no cases of paralysis, investigations are underway to determine if there is any community transmission, the agency said.“Importantly, the poliovirus detected in the sewage — called vaccine-derived poliovirus type 2 (VDPV2) — is not the same as wild polio. Vaccine-derived polio occurs if the weakened live virus in oral polio vaccines — which does not cause polio in the recipient, and is shed by vaccinated kids through their digestive system — circulates in under-vaccinated communities...

He's hatched a plot with NGOs to use government agencies doling goodies for double duty as get-out-the-vote machines. He stole it once, and got away with it... Why wouldn't he do it again? Which is the unfortunate conclusion from Mollie Hemingway in a new report in The Federalist. Joe Biden has a new plan to rig and steal the midterms. He's not only doing it now, he's been working on it for a while. Hemingway notes that it probably isn't legal, given that the executive branch has no right to get involved with elections. As a result, Biden and his...

On Thursday morning the Supreme Court ruled 6-3 to strike down restrictive "may issue" concealed carry laws in New York State Rifle & Pistol Association v. Bruen. Justice Clarence Thomas wrote the majority opinion and explained how the Second Amendment is not a second-class right. The arguments made by the dissenting justices were wildly irrelevant from the issue of constitutionality and current law, prompting Justice Samuel Alito to file a separate, concurring opinion destroying their claims. He also took issue with their ignorance and arrogance surrounding the facts of lawful gun ownership vs. criminality. (Take a look, bolding is mine)

Do you remember Trump’s inauguration in 2017? Rioters set fires, harassed and assaulted people, threw bricks, and worse. None of the rioters were ever really held accountable, and now they’re getting a big cash settlement over their arrests. The city of Washington has reached a $1.6 million settlement in two lawsuits that included allegations of arrests without cause and excessive force on protestors during the inauguration of former President Donald Trump in January 2017.

The retail industry is facing a potential tidal wave of bankruptcies later this year as rising prices begin to dent consumer demand and stores begin to contend with bloated inventories. CNBC reports the potential for an economic recession is also still looming. The first domino may have already fallen as beauty giant Revlon filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection last week. Now consumers and shareholders alike are wondering who’s next. “Retail is in flux,” Perry Mandarino, co-head of investment banking and head of corporate restructuring at B. Riley Securities, told CNBC. “And within the next five years, the landscape will...

Changes to the makeup of the U.S. Supreme Court in 2018 raise the possibility that Roe v. Wade could be severely undermined—or even overturned—essentially leaving the legality of abortion to individual states. A reversal of Roe could establish a legal path for states’ pre-1973 abortion bans, as well as currently unenforced post-1973 bans, to take effect. Many state lawmakers continue to consider and enact abortion bans that fly in the face of constitutional standards and Roe’s precedent in anticipation of an eventual lawsuit on such a ban coming before a Supreme Court hostile to abortion rights. Some bans prohibit abortion...

What a legacy for Biden/Pelosi/Schumer/Powell, the four horsemen of the inflation apocalypse. As inflation soars, the University of Michigan Consumer Sentiment index plunged to its lowest level in history. The good news? The University of Michigan Buying Conditions for housing only fell to its lowest level since 1982. The four horsemen of the inflation apocalypse.

"And as they came out, they found a man of Cyrene, Simon by name: him they compelled to bear his cross. And when they were come unto a place called Golgotha, that is to say, a place of a skull, They gave him vinegar to drink mingled with gall: and when he had tasted thereof, he would not drink." "Wherefore the rather, brethren, give diligence to make your calling and election sure: for if ye do these things, ye shall never fall: For so an entrance shall be ministered unto you abundantly into the everlasting kingdom of our Lord and...

Oh, I know. There's a lot of resistance to this from the left and it is the strenuousness and magnitude of that outrage which ought to be a clue to its true nature. Remember, these are the same people who promoted Russian collusion for four years and they employed the same shaming tactics when we argued against it. Let's make the case. Let's go back to 2008 when Barack Obama set the goal: “We are five days away from fundamentally transforming the United States of America.”. Joe Biden is Obama III. Hillary Clinton would have been Obama III except for...

EXCLUSIVE: Former President Trump praised the Supreme Court’s decision to overturn Roe v. Wade Friday, telling Fox News that the ruling "will work out for everybody." "This is following the Constitution, and giving rights back when they should have been given long ago," Trump told Fox News. When asked if he had a message for any of his supporters who may be pro-choice, Trump told Fox News: "I think, in the end, this is something that will work out for everybody." "This brings everything back to the states where it has always belonged," Trump said. When asked whether he feels...
