To say there’s a disconnect between many journalists and the public they serve is a gross understatement, according to a new in-depth survey by the nonpartisan Pew Research Center. Per Pew, 65 percent of the nearly 12,000 journalists surveyed say the media do a solid job of “covering the most important stories of the day” and reporting news accurately. But a solid majority of the American public at large has the opposite view, with just 35 percent feeling the same way. That’s a 30-point perception gap. When asked if journalists perform well when “serving as a watchdog over elected leaders,”...

Every single expert on earth predicts a political “bloodbath” for the Dems in 2022. You can smell disaster in the air. Biden’s poll numbers are sinking faster than the Titanic, and there’s no bottom in sight for this clown. He just keeps going lower and lower, because he sucks so bad at his job. Dems have become a really weird political party of rich, out-of-touch white people who only care about climate change and transgenders. The party’s gotten so bad, so radical, and so fringe, that even old-bat Hillary Clinton is warning Dems to dump the “transgender” stuff, claiming they...

Jordan De Goey will not play football this Sunday for Collingwood Football Club because relentless PC bullying has effected his mental health. His club has withdrawn a contract renewal offer which put him in the champion bracket of pay deals by Australian football standards. That is the free market in operation. He is perceived to have damaged his brand so he almost certainly will struggle to command the money previously offered from Collingwood who have salary cap problems. (Earlier in his career he knocked back big bucks to go to North Melbourne and stayed at Collingwood. In 2018 he kicked...

On wednesday Tucker Carlson opened his show discussing the dirtbag Republican lawmakers who continue to lie to their voters and bail out Joe Biden and Democrats. The vote for Red Flag laws is just the latest example. Republican leaders supported trans men in women’s sports, billions to protect the Ukrainian border while our border is wide open, massive spending including a billion for Joe Biden’s Stasi troops in the politicized FBI. How much will Republican voters take? And why then are they SO SURPRISED then that their voters LOVE President Donald Trump, a true man of integrity. Tucker Carlson ended...

Twelfth Week in Ordinary TimeMatthew 7:15-20 Friends, in today’s Gospel, Jesus tells us that a tree is known by its fruits. In the fifth chapter of his Letter to the Galatians, Paul makes this very specific. He tells us that the fruits of the Holy Spirit are "love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, generosity, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control," implying that the Spirit’s presence in one’s life can be read from its radiance in these soul-expanding qualities. All of Paul’s "fruits of the Holy Spirit" are marks of an outward-looking, expansive magna anima (great soul), which stands in contradistinction to the pusilla...

RICHARD DREYFUSS, the Close Encounters of the Third Kind actor, first recognised he was a manic depressive as a teenager. Over his life, he has spoken candidly about the condition - including how he questioned whether marijuana was the cause. The Jaws actor, who was in plenty of popular films in the 1970s, 80s, and 90s, first figured out he had bipolar at the age of 11, although he thought the condition name was “too neutral and stodgy”. Dreyfuss, born and raised in Beverly Hills, California, said: “I have surfed my manic depression since I was 11-years-old. I enjoyed it...

Joe Biden on Wednesday delivered remarks on soaring gas prices from his fake White House set in the South Court Auditorium. Biden repeated the same lies in his speech and blamed Vladimir Putin for high gas prices. "Let’s remember how we got here: Putin invaded Ukraine,” said Biden. Gas prices spiked before Putin invaded Ukraine. Joe Biden scolded Republicans and said there is no way they can simultaneously blame him for high gas prices AND oppose Putin’s invasion of Ukraine. "So, for all those Republicans criticizing me for high gas prices in America, are you now saying we were wrong...

In 1985, English singer-songwriter Kate Bush released a song called “Running Up That Hill.” It did pretty well — reaching No. 30 on the Billboard Hot 100 in the US. But 37 years after its release, the tune — featured in last week’s episode of Netflix’s “Stranger Things” — bumped Harry Styles’ “As It Was” to No. 2 on the US Billboard Top 10. The unexpected success also makes her both the oldest and the youngest woman to have a self-written No. 1 in the United Kingdom, Billboard reported.

An apology used to mean sincere remorse for an error or moment of bad judgment. Apologies now are often acts of surrender, a plea to the woke masters for just one more chance. Today, people apologize because they are more afraid than sorry. Public figures believe that apologizing eases tensions in such a divided culture. It doesn’t. Their wimpy, inevitable apologies are what fuel the outrage crowd by validating their hypersensitivity. Each week on cue, some person of influence issues an apology to “those offended.” And last week, the perpetually offended scored two quick wins. First, 75-year-old crime author James...

A group of teenage boys were live-streaming on social media moments before a fatal crash in a stolen car, Texas police said. The other teens were also streaming to social media, and the parent believed they were planning to drive...

Pizza: high-end gourmet fare or affordable food for the people? That is the question pitting Italian billionaire Flavio Briatore against chefs in Naples, where pizza making has UNESCO world heritage status. A staple for Italians and a favourite around the world, pizza is traditionally made of simple ingredients, with restaurants in the southern city of Naples serving the classic Pizza Margherita for as little as 4 euros ($4.24). Briatore challenged these low prices in his answer to criticism of the prices charged at his Crazy Pizza restaurants, in London, Montecarlo, Riyadh and Italy, where a Spanish Pata Negra ham-topped pizza...

Although Cuenca has escaped the disruption and violence suffered by other major cities during the first nine days of the indigenous anti-government strike, that appeared to be changing Wednesday. Early Wednesday morning, a protester died at roadblock on the Pan American highway in Tarqui after police fired tear gas to clear the intersection connecting Cuenca to Loja and Machala. The 31-year old man was found lifeless at the side of the highway and some protesters believe he was struck by a gas canister. Paramedics said he showed no head trauma, only slight bruising of the torso. The man was pronounced...

Hungary, along with other Eastern European countries including Poland, Slovakia, and the Czech Republic, have all but banned Muslim immigration, despite being harassed by EU leaders because of it. Hungary refuses to abide by the quotas given to them by the EU for accepting Muslim invaders posing as asylum seekers, and as a result the EU is threatening them with sanctions and fines. PART 1 Video In this video, you can see the brutal and grotesque, far-left media bias against what they call “racist” Western Europeans who abandon their native land because of how mass Muslim immigration has changed it…for...

A public opinion survey in New Hampshire, the state that for a century has held the first primary in presidential race, indicates that Florida Gov. Gov. Ron DeSantis has a razor-thin margin over former President Donald Trump in a hypothetical 2024 GOP primary match-up. According to polling numbers released on Wednesday by the University of New Hampshire Survey Center, 39% of likely Republican primary voters in the Granite State would support the first-term Florida governor, with 37% backing the former president. Respondents were provided a list of potential contenders for the 2024 GOP presidential nomination, and DeSantis margin was well...

In an indication that corporate progressivism may be reaching its high-water mark, CEOs for the first time are pushing back against activist employees, in some cases going so far as to fire them rather than steer their companies into the mire of “woke” politics. Last week, Kraken CEO Jesse Powell became the latest executive to say he has had enough. He invited employees who felt “triggered” by controversial ideas to accept a severance package and leave the company. The cryptocurrency technology company’s new mission statement says that it “will never ask that our employees adopt any specific political ideology as...
