MIAMI -- Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis ripped into President Joe Biden Thursday morning during a South Florida stop when asked about inflation and high gas prices. "He's always trying to create a scapegoat. I guess his position is that it wasn't until he became president that oil companies are trying to make profits like they're gouging. Now, they weren't doing that for the last 25 years, all of a sudden, just now they're doing that." "It's insulting to the average citizen to listen to some of this drivel coming out of the White House and because they know people are...

Ukraine just got a big boost for its EU membership bid on Friday, with the 27-member nation bloc’s executive giving full support for its candidate status. European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen announced for the first time that the commission recommends “that Ukraine is given candidate status. This is of course on the understanding that the country will carry out a number of further reforms.” She said further while speaking from Brussels, “In the view of the Commission, Ukraine has clearly demonstrated the country’s aspiration and the country’s determination to live up to European values and standards.” Von der...

A Takoma Park man is charged with hate crimes after he confessed to spray-painting “groomer,” a homophobic slur, on two Prince George’s County public libraries earlier this month, police said. Charles Sutherland, 30, is charged with two counts of malicious destruction of property and multiple hate crimes related to defacing the buildings. Police said the Greenbelt Branch Library was vandalized June 4 and the New Carrollton Branch Library was vandalized June 9. According to an NPR report, old accusations of LGBTQ people “grooming” and “recruiting” children have gained new traction. Last week, a group of Proud Boys disrupted a drag...

As gas prices soar across the country, White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre insists that President Joe Biden is committed to transitioning away from fossil fuels. Fox News’ Peter Doocy asked why Biden is not trying to get domestic companies to drill for more oil in the U.S. Jean-Pierre noted that the country is still seeing its “highest levels of domestic production,” but part of the higher prices is a result of decreased refinery capacity in the country. Still, Doocy asked, “Why not drill more here in the U.S., though?” “We don’t need to do that. What we need them...

China may be gathering a wide variety of data from China-made electronic appliances used by overseas consumers worldwide, research from the New Kite Data Labs suggested. The report by researchers, Christopher Balding and Joe Wu, found that a Chinese coffee machine manufacturer is collecting comprehensive pattern data from devices used by ordinary consumers. “China is really collecting data on really just anything and everything,” Balding told The Washington Times. “As a manufacturing hub of the world, they can put this capability in all kinds of devices that go out all over the world.” Balding and Wu examined information gathered by...

Outdoor public events have been banned in an area of France as a record breaking heatwave sweeps across Europe. Concerts and large public gatherings have been called off in the Gironde department around Bordeaux. On Thursday, parts of France hit 40C earlier in the year than ever before, with temperatures expected to peak on Saturday. Scientists say periods of intense heat are becoming more frequent and longer lasting as a result of global warming.

We’ve got a line on The Federal Reserve. They don’t seem to care about housing and the mortgage market. Monthly mortgage payments are soaring as home prices soar AND mortgage rates soar. Mortgage rates have soared with Fed noose tightening. Something has to give. Otherwise, winter is coming. The theme song of The Federal Reserve thinking that rising prices can be tamed by raising rates is “Dear Mr Fantasy.”

Americans who think they might have been exposed to monkeypox should take precautions like masturbating 6 feet apart from their partner to prevent the spread of the virus, according to health officials. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention earlier this month issued a list of safe activities for sexually active patients to engage in. Among the recommendations are avoiding kissing and “having sex with your clothes on or covering areas where rash or sores are present.” Patients and prospective patients are also advised to “wash your hands, fetish gear, sex toys and any fabrics” after having sex and “masturbate...

Alarm! As The Federal Reserve tightens the monetary noose (Fed Chair Powell said Fed ‘acutely focused’ on returning inflation to 2%), the US economy is slowing. In fact, May’s Industrial Production report is half of what was expected. Industrial production declined to 0.20% MoM versus the expected 0.4%. At the same time, capacity utilization rose slightly to 79%., but still below expectations. Mortgage rates are rising rapidly, but the growth has cooled slightly as the economy cools. Bitcoin is getting demolished by The Fed’s reaction to inflation. And “It’s Not Always Sunny In Philadelphia.” Since the Philadelphia Fed’s Business General...

Ukraine's armed forces say they have struck a Russian navy tugboat in the Black Sea with two Harpoon missiles - the first time Kyiv has claimed to have hit a Russian vessel with the Western-supplied anti-ship rockets. Ukraine's Armed Forces Strategic Communications Directorate published the information on the Telegram app, alongside a video purporting to show the strike from the air. It shows what is thought to be an anti-ship missile striking the tug Vasily Bekh at 4am as it delivered soldiers, weapons, and ammunition to hotly-contested Snake Island. Ukrainian sources later claimed ten sailors on the tug were missing...

1,120 people have been shot this year in Chicago and 282 people have been murdered. Yesterday, four people were shot and killed in four hours in just another Wednesday. Good thing the city has “peace circles”. Police defunders have been tasked with coming up with “restorative justice” alternatives to the three P’s, police, prosecutors, and prisons, that ask criminals to apologize to their victims. That’s the principle of the “peace circle” in which the thug meets with his victim, says “sorry” and then leaves a free man to shoot, stab, or kill. Chicago's pro-crime politicians eagerly embraced "peace circles". There...

As President Joe Biden was coming to the conclusion of his address at the AFL-CIO Convention on Tuesday, he made an inadvertently ironic observation. "We're the most unique country in the world," he said. "We're organized on one notion. Every other country is organized based on ethnicity, religion, geography. But the United States is based on an idea, only country in the world based on an idea." "Because we said we hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men and women are created equal, endowed by their Creator with certain inalienable rights: life, liberty," said Biden. "We've never met...

“I don’t want to hear any more of these lies about reckless spending,” President Joe Biden shouted out in remarks that he delivered to AFL-CIO union members in Philadelphia on June 14th. “We’re changing people’s lives.” President Biden sure has changed Americans’ lives since he took office. Americans are far worse off today on his watch. As Republican Senator John Kennedy from Louisiana put it, “Forty-year-high inflation, [baby] formula shortages, and $5 gas are changing lives.” President Biden promoted his green energy proposals during his AFL-CIO conference remarks. He claimed, for example, that a “tax credit for modernizing the homes…would...

The crisis currently facing our nation is a crisis of faith – faith in the Constitution that has shaped our destiny, faith in the rule of law, and faith in the principle of equality before the law. The root cause of the lawlessness that is consuming our country is the monopoly of the executive power in Washington by a political party that has fallen under the control of the radical Left. This Left describes itself as “progressive,” but is focused on the goal of “re-imagining” American institutions and principles, in other words of dismantling the constitutional order that created the...
