This time, it grovels for the sin of having had Texas Governor Greg Abbott wave a green flag at the All-Star Race. I have no gay pride. I don’t have gay hatred either. I simply don’t care very much. It’s enough for me that our laws give people equal protection and most Americans no longer consider homosexuality a sin. And that’s probably enough for most people. And I bet most people, like me, dislike the annual barrage of mandatory love for the LGBTQ+++ crowd and especially dislike the industry that’s sprung up around confusing kids about their biological and then...

Once we have eliminated all the impossible scenarios, the least improbable outcome of the war in Ukraine is a Russian victory. Any conceivable Russian victory now will entail such a loss of blood and treasure that it will have to be judged Pyrrhic at best. But it will be a victory nonetheless — and we in the West had better come to grips with that hard truth. Let’s begin by eliminating the impossible. The first unrealistic endgame is the reduction of Ukraine to a vassal state of the Russian empire. The second impossible scenario is the total defeat of the...

Hosts of ABC's "The View" called for getting "rid of the Republican Party" to pass gun control on Thursday, saying that they were the "party of White Supremacy" and "massacres." "I always say don't vote for Republicans," co-host Joy Behar said. "Right now, I mean you can go back to it after you have gun laws." Behar said Republicans would be voted out if they vote for gun control laws in Congress because that's not what their constituents want. "In 1994, the assault weapons ban went into effect and many of the Republicans who voted for it lost their jobs,"...

With new information from testimony in the Sussmann trial and the demise of the Russian Collusion narrative, it’s time for a new look at the untimely death of Seth Rich. Who is Seth Rich, and why was he murdered? Many media outlets ignored this unsolved murder in D.C. in July 2016. Those who wrote about this suspicious death were dismissed as conspiracy theorists. Jack Cashill wrote the best summary of Rich’s murder: Unknown assailants gun down the young DNC data analyst at 4 A.M. on a Washington, D.C., street and take nothing. Two weeks later, international man of mystery Julian...

OTTAWA — The Bank of Canada will probably have to raise its policy rate to the top of its neutral range, double its current level, and could go higher, to prevent soaring inflation from becoming entrenched, a deputy governor said on Thursday. Paul Beaudry, speaking to a business audience in the Ottawa area, said the central bank was considering the pace at which it moves to neutral, the 2%-3% range where interest rates neither stimulate nor weigh on growth, along with how high rates may go.

Wary Pacific nations are resisting ‘good brother’ China’s offer to expand its scope Round one does not go to China. They could not shed their suspicions that China was attempting to show off its ‘partners’ in the South Pacific to square off with the QUAD’s growing presence in the Indo-Pacific. Some nations were opposed to the Chinese offer, titled ‘China-Pacific Island Countries Common Development Vision’. What raised eyebrows were the Chinese proposals to train local police, help...

School officials believe a threat posted on social media against a Montgomery County high school was actually part of an elaborate plan to bully another student. A trio of judges in California said on Tuesday that bees can be legally classed as a type of fish as part of a ruling that brings added conservation protections for the endangered species. "The issue presented here is whether the bumble bee, a terrestrial invertebrate, falls within the definition of fish," the judges wrote in their ruling. And, they concluded, it does. Formerly, the problem for bee-lovers — and lovers of all Californian terrestrial invertebrates — was down to the way protected animals have been classified in the state's laws. Infant formula provides the sole source of nutrition for infants who are not being breast fed and often supplements breast milk for those who are. Only 47% of infants are exclusively breast fed in the first three months of life, a figure that declines to 26% by six months. Specialty formulas are the only nutrition option for infants who, because of medical problems, cannot utilize standard formulas or breast milk. It’s also one of the most regulated foods in our country. The Food and Drug Administration’s strict nutritional and labeling requirements make it difficult for foreign producers to export formula...
