The FBI has a rulebook restricting its agents’ actions but it does not want the American people to know what it says. The several-hundred-page Domestic Investigations and Operations Guide (DIOG) used by agents today is a hidden handbook intended to standardize policy for criminal, national security and foreign intelligence investigations. After an internal audit first reported by The Washington Times showed agents’ rule-breaking at a rate sparking senators to ask for a federal investigation, The Times asked for a copy of the rulebook and was denied. The bureau instead pointed to an outdated version of the rulebook that is available...

The deadly mass shooting in Uvalde, TX, is leading to a flurry of new demands for gun control. As is par for the course in these situations, political posturing takes center stage, and any discussion of who the shooter was, why he did what he did, and what actually might have prevented him from doing it is pushed aside for vast generalities and nods toward unrelated “solutions.” Take universal background checks, for example. That is the top policy prescription being offered by Democrats and their media allies right now. The problem? The Uvalde shooter passed a background check. But what...

After the Biden administration’s proposal of a dystopian “disinformation board” met with mockery and horror from First Amendment lovers, the Department of Homeland Security announced last week that its brainchild will now go through a “review” for up to 75 days. Directing the assessment along with former Deputy Attorney General Jamie Gorelick is former Secretary of Homeland Security Michael Chertoff, who has a detailed history of falling for or waving away security risks or political hoaxes. Chertoff, who endorsed Hillary Clinton in the 2016 presidential election, was asked by NPR how he could reconcile supporting Clinton with his knowledge of...

"We have space to store (the new crop) although we have a lot of grain here. People are now partially taking it out, having agreed with those who buy it from the Russian side," said Kirill Stremousov, deputy head of the Military-Civilian Administration. Stremousov was also cited as saying the administration was working on the supplies of sunflower seeds to local and Russian processing plants.

Billionaire Bill Gates says there’s a 50 per cent chance the next pandemic will be caused by man-made climate change or be deliberately released by a bio-terrorist. The Microsoft founder made the comments during an interview with Spanish news outlet El Diario. Asserting that the next major pandemic is likely to occur within 20 years, Gates said, “It could be a virus made by man, by a bioterrorist who designed it and intentionally circulated it. That is a very scary scenario because they could try to spread it in different places at once.” “Or it could be something that makes...

A climber was killed and two others injured Sunday in a rock fall and avalanche in Rocky Mountain National Park, officials said. A woman suffered minor injuries and a man who suffered more serious injuries was rescued by a Colorado National Guard helicopter using a hoist during a break in wintry weather, a park press release said. Harsh conditions in the area complicated rescue efforts, CBS Denver reported. The park said rescue teams were "working in terrain above 11,500 feet" and were "experiencing winter like weather conditions," according to the station.

If you’re anything like me, you probably never thought you’d see the day when human beings would claim, with a straight face, that they are actually a different ‘gender’ from the one that corresponds with the sex they were born with. Even when a few began claiming this less than a decade ago, the issue existed for years on the periphery of my consciousness, like a crazy homeless person on a big city sidewalk walking around without a shirt muttering absurdities. It was so insane, so out there, how could anyone with half a brain possibly take it seriously? Except,...

Memorial Day takes on its deepest meaning when we connect it with our heritage and roots. Memorial Day is a profound American holiday because it connects the present with so many different points of our past. It was originally known as Decoration Day, a day set aside to honor those who lost their lives in the Civil War—America’s most costly war, taking the lives of at least 620,000 men. Among American holidays, Memorial Day is unique also in that it originated from the vanquished, not the victor. After the war was over, women from the South—Columbus, Mississippi and Richmond, Virginia—set...

Just a point for discussion. If a Federal law is passed to raise the age to 21 as a requirement to buy or own a firearm, shouldn’t the age requirement to join the military be raised to 21 also ??? How can we justify asking 18, 19 & 20 year olds to fight and possibly die for our country when we deny them on of the basic rights enumerated in the Bill of Rights ?

Russian Minister of Foreign Affairs Sergey Lavrov today denied reports that Vladimir Putin has fallen ill. An author is warning that the world’s current response to monkeypox in the form of lockdowns is signaling a road back to lockdowns, which she calls the “conditioning” of Americans toward a socialist society. Cheryl Chumley, the author of “LOCKDOWN: The Socialist Plan to Take Away Your Freedom” and an opinion editor at The Washington Times, told Epoch TV’s “China Insider” program. According to the author, the current government and media reactions in response to monkeypox parallel a pattern of signals that led to COVID lockdowns. “If you watched as we moved from the coronavirus to the various variants, and...

We’ve seen plenty of armchair quarterbacking of Georgia’s primary last week, with experts and everyday citizens analyzing what the results mean for Trump’s endorsement of candidates. My PJ Media colleague Rick Moran has even explored how the race-hustlers and grievance-mongers of the left will spin the fact that Georgia’s 2021 voter law didn’t suppress minority turnout in the primaries into a voter-suppression narrative for the general election. But one of the biggest themes we saw in the May 24 primary was the importance of incumbency. In large numbers, Georgia Republican voters trusted the people in power enough to reelect them.Take...

An 18-year-old Florida man has been arrested for “threatening to conduct a mass shooting or act of terrorism.” Corey Anderson, 18, of Lutz, had posted images of himself with what appeared to be a handgun, a rifle, and a tactical style vest — along with the caption “Hey Siri, directions to the nearest school.” He was arrested at his home on Sunday after someone called in a tip to law enforcement. After further investigation, detectives from the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office determined the handgun and rifle were “airsoft guns,” according to a press release. “This type of threat is unacceptable....

Where was Salvador Ramos born? Early reports say he was from North Dakota. North Dakota is a big state. In what town in North Dakota was the future mass killer born? Where is a copy of his North Dakota birth certificate? How about a baptism certificate? I took Mr. LoCascio’s Critical Thinking class in high school in 1970 AD. This class taught us to question sources and not to believe everything we read. In this era of “fake news” and disinformation, I think it is fair to ask the question, “Where was Salvador Ramos born?”

This month the Task Force on National Security at the University of Ottawa published a white paper which lays out a plan for a major re-organisation of Canada’s intelligence agencies to better deal with the “intense global instability when the security of Canada and other liberal democracies is under growing threat.” By Matthew EhretUpon looking at those who participated in the crafting of this “discussion” paper, which includes several former CSIS directors, advisors to Prime Ministers and high-level civil servants, it can quickly be seen that this is no benign academic exercise but represents a top-down policy intention. The authors...

Sen. Lisa Murkowski (R-Alaska) warned state voters to "not let lower-48 donors determine who is sent to Washington to represent us. These donors don't know our state like I do. Don't let their donations to my opponent allow her to unseat me." Murkowski's characterization of the race doesn't match up well with the data. According to public campaign finance documents, 85% of Murkowski's funds come from out-of-state donors. Further, 89% of her $5 million campaign chest comes from large donors. Her opponent Kelly Tshibaka's campaign chest of $2.5 million has garnered 50% from out-of-state donors. Of the total $2.5 million,...
