If the Federal age to own a gun is raised to 21 should the age to join the military be raised also ???

Just a point for discussion.

If a Federal law is passed to raise the age to 21 as a requirement to buy or own a firearm, shouldn’t the age requirement to join the military be raised to 21 also ???

How can we justify asking 18, 19 & 20 year olds to fight and possibly die for our country when we deny them on of the basic rights enumerated in the Bill of Rights ?

I can't justify it. If they are in the military or hold honorable discharges, they should have full constitutional rights.

Maybe it’s just me, but I don’t think the 18 year olds of today are the same as they were back in the 80’s or 60’s etc.

I feel like our whole structure of age vs expectations has changed, for older people too. 60 used to be an old ass man
