Matt Gaetz that he had no idea where Hunter Biden's laptop, entrusted to FBI custody, actually is.According to the Post Millennial:"Who has it?" Gaetz asked."I don't know who has it," said [FBI Assistant Director for the Cyber Division Bryan] Vorndran."What now you're telling me right here is that as the Assistant Director of FBI Cyber, you don't know where this is, after it was turned over to you three years ago?" Gaetz said."Yes, sir. That's an accurate statement,"...

Millennials (born between 1981 to 1996) have spent much of their lives living in an economic utopia where goods are cheap and plentiful. Unlike the generations before, these youngsters have yet to experience rapid inflation and shortages until now. On Tuesday, BlackRock Inc. President Rob Kapito told an audience in Austin, Texas, hosted by the Texas Independent Producers and Royalty Owners Association, that an entire younger generation is quickly finding out what it means to suffer from shortages, according to Bloomberg. “For the first time, this generation is going to go into a store and not be able to get...

KYIV, Ukraine — The suspected Russian missile hit the tall apartment building, engulfing it in flames and smoke. It killed at least four people, including elderly residents, and shattered the lives of a close-knit community. For lawmaker Oleksii Goncharenko, the tragedy was yet another example of potential Russian war crimes. “They are just hitting residential buildings in these areas,” said the Ukrainian parliament member, who arrived at the scene shortly after the explosion two weeks ago. “You can walk around, you will not find any military targets, or any military people. This is just terror.” Yet a few minutes later,...

When headlines popped up earlier this month that the Biden regime was using TikTok influencers to spread their propaganda about Ukraine, the vast majority of conservative news outlets used it as a punchline. Even on the left, some took jabs at it. SNL did a skit making fun of the White House move. But as much as the older, politically aware class of Americans might think of it as a desperate ploy or just a comical sign of the times, the Biden regime was actually making a brilliant move. Their actions were lacking; they’re just as oblivious to how TikTok...

A man was arrested for setting his shelter on fire at a Madison-owned homeless shelter encampment Tuesday afternoon, authorities reported. Madison police on Tuesday did not say an arrest had been made their report on the incident, but Chief Shon Barnes said in his blog Wednesday morning that a man was arrested for arson and threatening law enforcement officers. Barnes said the man went to turn himself in and threatened law enforcement officers during the process. Based on the case number matching on the police report and the Dane County Jail record, the man arrested was Jeffrey M. Jalinski, who...

BRUSSELS/LONDON (Reuters) - Fears of a Russian gas supply crunch prompted some European countries on Wednesday to ask people to consume less energy in a move that could potentially yield big results. Despite months of soaring energy prices and tight supplies most governments have avoided taking a step they fear could be unpopular but with concerns growing that Russia could turn off the taps, the message in some capitals is starting to shift. "Every kilowatt-hour counts," German Economy Minister Robert Habeck said on Wednesday as Germany declared an "early warning" of a possible gas supply emergency. The International Energy Agency...

The demands that Justice Thomas recuse himself from a case involving the January 6 incident because of his wife's activities are silly. Similar demands for recusal of a prominent member of the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals because of his wife's related activities were dismissed out of hand, to the approval of the media, the legal establishment, and academia. See Salon, December 2, 2010:An attempt to oust a liberal judge from hearing a landmark gay marriage [sic] case in California ended Thursday almost as quickly as it began.Judge Stephen Reinhardt of the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals denied a...

Ungar-Sargon told Hill.TV's "Rising" on Monday that Wallace's stance is inconsistent as other outlets, including Wallace's current employer CNN, have also been plagued by controversy. For Wallace to "leave Fox, which is the number one show viewed by Democrats, by the way, for CNN plagued by scandal, plagued by actual journalistic ethical violations to me, I just see this as not really worthy of respect," Ungar-Sargon said.

Former President Trump leads Joe Biden by 10 points in a hypothetical 2024 presidential election match-up in Nevada, according to a new poll. According to official tallies, Trump lost the state in 2020 and 2016. Democratic Presidential candidates have carried Nevada in every election since 2008 when Barrack Obama flipped the state blue. Prior to that, the state had gone for George W. Bush in 2000 and 2004. The state could soon flip back red, however, according to a new Blueprint Polling survey that was published last Friday. According to Blueprint, 44.1% of likely voters back Trump while Biden is...

Russian hackers have been scanning the systems of energy companies and other critical infrastructure in the United States, and state-sponsored hacking by Russia presents a “current” threat to American national security, a top FBI official told lawmakers on Tuesday. “The threat from Russia in a criminal sense, in the nation state sense, is very, very real – and current,” said Bryan Vorndran, an assistant director in the FBI’s cyber division, during a hearing before a U.S. House of Representatives panel. In the weeks since Russia’s unprovoked attack against Ukraine, the White House and the Justice Department have been warning U.S....

Few things are more surprising to a church lady like myself than to find better sense about sex and gender coming from a foul-mouthed cable talk show than from our current crop of evangelical thought leaders. But such is the state of the world these days—the crude pagan speaks plain wisdom while the churchmen discourse in the inscrutable, hedging language of feminist accommodation. Bill Maher’s March 25 monologue on women’s reaction to Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelensky offered the kind of politically incorrect truth that certain progressive Christian ladies and the pastors who pander to them have been trying to paint...

Say what you will about Germans, they have a distinct hate-hate relationship with hyperinflation, having been one of the very few “developed” nations to experience it in the not too distant past courtesy of Rudy von Havenstein’s application of “Modern Money Theory” to the Weimar Republic back in 1921 with less than stellar results. Well, Germany may soon enjoy double (and triple) digit price gains quite soon. When asked by Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung about the possibility of double-digit inflation rates, Volker Wieland, a member of the German government’s council of economic advisers said that “it can’t be ruled out, especially if...

“The spread between diesel and motor fuel is the widest it’s ever been in the data,” said Mark Zandi, chief economist at Moody’s Analytics. “It’s $1 a gallon.. the average over the last few decades has been 30 to 40 cents. That gives you a sense of how out of balance it is ... By my calculation, one-tenth of the acceleration in inflation [over the past year] is due to the surge in diesel prices.” That contribution to inflation includes related impacts. “The farmer ploughing the field, getting the food to the store shelf: It’s the cost to FedEx and...
