Psychiatric News is the official publication of the American Psychiatric Association (APA). The publication recently reported on the annual election of officers of the APA, featuring the new president-elect, Petros Levounis, M.D. The article reports Dr. Levounis's priorities and that "he plans to do the following: Amplify the psychiatrist's voice on critical social issues, such as systemic racism, homophobia, and climate change."
Let's deconstruct this trinity of social issues, which are of paramount concern to the incoming leader of American psychiatrists.

Odd, I don't seem to be particularly phobic (i.e. skerred) about any of those items. Psychiatraphobia? Maybe. Somebody needs some counseling.

I have discovered through my personal life experiences in dealing with “professionals” in the fields of science, engineering, medicine, education and theology, that “mental health professionals” (psychiatrists and psychologists) are hands down the most disturbed, miserable and chemically dependent group of people of all professionals. Members of the clergy are a close second place.

Psychiatrists. Psychologists. (Master’s Degree) therapists. It’s such a bogus field. As credible as astrologists or sorcery.

Having had family issues in the past; I am 100% certain that psychiatry is a worthless scam industry propagated by the pharmaceutical companies. I won’t believe a damn thing any psychiatrist tells me.
Psychology has some merit. Counselling is crap.

Now that they’ve solved the pandemic lockdown mental health damage , including teen suicides and the fentanyl/opioid epidemic, they can move on to the really important things to grapple with, just like all of the elites have. The little bit of good news here is the absence of “xenophobia” from the list. They must see the Hispanic/ Asian vote as opposing them on their agenda, so they’ll be running away from them.
Neither is anywhere near the politicians in those categories,. Since politicians are largely drawn from the ranks of lawyers, suspect you have either overlooked them or you’re a lawyer yourself.
