There is a very serious and sick problem with the exploitation of children, child sex trafficking and deviant sex crimes against children around the world. One of the biggest problems with our open border is the trafficking of children. Unfortunately, an increasingly visible segment of society has attempted to diminish the problem. Hollywood and the international fame industry are notorious for their sexploitation of children. As the evidence in the Jeffrey Epstein case showed us, extremely powerful people participate in the horrific evil of exploiting children for sex. The networks of politicians and rich billionaires are filled with people who...

For over a year, Dr. SarahBeth Hartlage urged people to take Covid vaccines. She urged them online, in person, and in briefings with Louisville’s mayor. She tweeted a picture of herself opening a box of mRNA jabs and said she’d had “a little visit from the Pfizer fairy.” She was thrilled when regulators authorized shots for five-year-olds and disappointed when Pfizer postponed its application for six-month-olds.She didn’t just talk or tweet, either. She ran the city of Louisville’s vaccine clinic, which injected people with almost 120,000 shots. And she wanted vaccine mandates.—Last week, Dr. Hartlage died. She was attending a medical conference in...

The conventional wisdom in Washington usually lag the view from the field by two to four weeks. Analysts and commentators have grudgingly declared that the Russian invasion of Ukraine has been blocked, and that the war is stalemated. The more likely truth is that the Ukrainians are winning. Most professional scholars of the Russian military first predicted a quick and decisive Russian victory; then argued that the Russians would pause, learn from their mistakes, and regroup; then concluded that the Russians would actually have performed much better if they had followed their doctrine; and now tend to mutter that everything...

Managing China's real estate market involves a precarious balancing act. Getting it wrong could be costly, says a Chinese economist.Despite strong global economic headwinds, not least from the COVID-19 pandemic, China managed to achieve 8.1 per cent GDP growth last year, its highest rate in a decade. With that, China met the International Monetary Fund’s expectations and far surpassed its own government’s 6 per cent target. But China’s economic performance is not quite as strong as it may seem, and not only because year-on-year growth figures were flattered by the pandemic-induced trough in 2020 when the growth rate slowed sharply...

Competitive swimmer Jody Lee’s goal is to compete at the Paris Olympics in 2024, but with only two years left to qualify, Hong Kong’s months-long shutdown of swimming pools is making achieving his dream tougher. Pools and all other sports facilities, including tennis courts, golf courses and gyms, have been shut since January – and for more than 13 months total since the start of the pandemic in 2020. Lee, 15, has been trying to keep fit by training in the ocean, braving red tides and currents, but the city closed beaches on Thursday (Mar 17), making it even harder...

Last month, President Biden nominated Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson to replace U.S. Supreme Court Justice Stephen Breyer. . . . Red Flag 1: Private Practice. In the earliest days of her private practice, Jackson co-authored a brief on behalf of several pro-abortion groups. In the brief, Jackson supported the creation of discriminatory free speech “buffer zones” outside abortion clinics, where abortion clinic workers could speak to pregnant women, but pro-life advocates could not. The brief disparaged pro-life advocates (often religiously motivated mothers and grandmothers seeking to support pregnant women) as a “hostile, noisy crowd of ‘in-your-face’ protestors.” Jackson’s stance in...

The U.S. is sending some of the Soviet-made air defense equipment it secretly acquired decades ago to bolster the Ukrainian military as it seeks to fend off Russian air and missile attacks, U.S. officials said. The systems, which one U.S. official said include the SA-8, are decades old and were obtained by the U.S. so it could examine the technology used by the Russian military and which Moscow has exported around the world. The weapons are familiar to Ukraine’s military, which inherited this type of equipment following the breakup of the Soviet Union.

Russian Forces starting to lose vehicles by the dozen in the Kherson area. Expect fighting to intensify there over the coming days. Ukrainan forces are sat around 35 Kilometres from Kherson city centre as of now, most of that distance is open area. Reports of Ukrainian Air Force Ground Attack aircraft operating in the area earlier today is 100% something to note. If they can make a push South with integrated Close Air Support from Su-24s/25s, Ukrainian Forces will find themselves in a good position. Satellite images have also confirmed that Russian helicopters have been redeployed by land from Kherson...

BERLIN, March 21 (Reuters) - German producer prices maintained their record-breaking rise in February, increasing 25.9% year on year mainly because of energy prices, Federal Statistics Office data showed on Monday. The jump in factory gate costs, considered a leading indicator for consumer prices, was the biggest since 1949, the statistics office said. February's producer prices did not take into account the effects of Russia's attack on Ukraine. Energy prices were up 68% from February 2021, the statistics office said. Stripping out energy prices, producer prices rose 12.4% year on year.

DUBAI, United Arab Emirates (AP) — Saudi Arabia said on Monday that it “won’t bear any responsibility” for a shortage in global oil supplies after a fierce barrage of attacks by Yemen’s Houthi rebels affected production in the kingdom, the world’s largest oil exporter. The unusually stark warning marked a departure from the giant oil producer’s typically cautious statements, as Saudi officials remain aware that even their smallest comments can swing the price of oil and rattle global markets. The state-run Saudi Press Agency quoted the Saudi Foreign Ministry as saying that the kingdom “declares that it will not bear...

An economics professor has a solution for the little people dealing with the country’s inflationary woes: Use mass transportation, eat more veggies instead of meat, and cut back on unnecessary care for your pets.In a Bloomberg.com op-ed, the New School’s Teresa Ghilarducci says these tips are a good idea for anyone making less than … $280,000 per year. “To deal with gas prices, it’s worth reconsidering public transportation if it’s an option where you live,” Ghilarducci says. After all, mass transport fares are up only 8 percent compared to 38 percent for gasoline. And don’t think about getting a new...

ASBURY PARK, N.J. (AP) — A wave of new electric vehicle charging stations across the country is coming as interest in alternatives to gasoline-powered vehicles is on the rise and could heighten further due to a global spike in gasoline prices. Though most of the plans were in the works before already high gas prices surged because of the war in Ukraine, the timing may work in favor of electric vehicle makers and other proponents of ditching fossil fuels. From coast to coast, cities big and small are adding charging stations for electric vehicles. Strong demand is forecast for the...
