Teachers and staffers at the public schools in the Eau Claire Area School District in central Wisconsin have been busy receiving all manner of training in how they should perform their duties. At least some of that training, however, has parents seeing red and driving some of them to run to replace members of the school board. The specific training program in question was provided by the University of Wisconsin Eau Claire’s Gender & Sexuality Research Center. (KFOR) – A longtime Oklahoma Christian University professor was allegedly fired for bringing in a speaker who is openly gay. “It was absolutely shocking to me,” said Emily Thornton, an OC alumnus. Michael O’Keefe taught graphic design at OC for 41 years, until last Monday. “[Mr.] O’Keefe was fired because he had a class where several speakers came in and talked about their personal challenges and how they overcame them,” said Thornton.

The Danish government is said to have agreed on legislation to suspend asylum rules for Ukrainian refugees while also asking many Syrians to return to their country. Denmark is expected to pass the new legislation for Ukrainian refugees on Wednesday after the government and the National Association of Municipalities reached an agreement on the matter. Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelensky appears to have accepted that his country will not become a member of NATO, one of the demands made by Russia before it invaded. According to a translation of his comments in a speech, Zelensky said that Ukraine had "realized" it would not become part of the Western military alliance. "For years we've heard the opposite, open doors, However, it is not," he said Tuesday according to Ukrainian news outlet, Trukha. Migrant arrivals at the southern border jumped by 7% in February from the previous month, but U.S. immigration officials also increased deportations, expelling over half of those who entered government custody using rules first issued under the Trump administration, according to Customs and Border Protection (CBP) data published Tuesday. As sanctions cripple Russia’s aviation industry, President Vladimir Putin signed a law on Monday allowing foreign-owned aircraft to be re-registered as Russian for domestic use, according to state-run news agency TASS. Russian airlines would have the ability to seize and operate aircraft leased by companies that are no longer operating in the country over sanctions imposed due to the Ukraine invasion, TASS reported.
