Even though McConnell is opposed to Scott’s plan, the Florida senator doubled down on his intent to follow through with the plan. Scott said: I agree with Senator McConnell that this election will primarily be about Joe Biden and the Democrats’ failures, but have been clear that I also believe Republicans should talk about a plan for turning this country around. I’m a business guy and I’ve always believed in making plans in order to get things done. Republicans, and really all Americans outside of Washington, are demanding it.

Top Democrats are ramping up calls for the Biden administration to end Trump-era Title 42 border protections, even amid growing fears of a looming migrant surge in the coming months that threatens to once again overwhelm authorities at the besieged southern border. "Title 42 has been nothing short of disastrous for immigrant families seeking asylum from the horrors in their own countries," Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, said in a call with reporters, according to Border Report. "It is unacceptable that this policy continues to be used indiscriminately to remove migrants with valid refugee claims from our Southern border."

President Joe Biden could lower prices at the pump for consumers if he would remove some of the barriers to oil and gas projects, Alaska Gov. Mike Dunleavy said. "Alaska is awash in energy, but not able to capitalize on it," Dunleavy said in a news release. The governor's comments come as oil prices rose to $134 a barrel days after Biden announced a ban on Russian oil imports. Gas prices are averaging $4.33 a gallon nationwide and are higher in Alaska, where a gallon of gas costs $4.72, according to AAA. Dunleavy criticized the Biden administration for not defending...

Stepanets claims Meilishka has 70 Chinese men actively searching for a bride and has successfully matched eight to nine couples who have gotten married. The “mail-order bride” business has become increasingly popular in China in recent years as men’s struggle to find a native match has been exacerbated by the country’s skewed gender ratio caused by the one-child policy. Nearly 35 years of the controversial population control policy has left the country with an overwhelming male-to-female ratio as families chose to terminate or give away female children in an effort to have sons, who they believe have a better chance...

Though student mask mandates are expiring in California and Los Angeles County this week, students who attend the Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD) must remain masked—leaving parents and students frustrated. Lisa Sanchez, whose daughter is in LAUSD, called the situation a “never-ending battle.” “We’re very upset that the school hasn’t lifted the mandate sooner,” Sanchez told The Epoch Times. “District officials claim to follow the science—yet the science has spoken—and here our kids are still masked.” The state’s largest school district cannot change its indoor mask requirement without first negotiating an existing contract with the teacher’s union, United Teachers...

News reports from around the world are coming in at a rapid pace detailing the move away from COVID mandates. From Austria’s decision to drop vaccine mandates, to San Francisco abandoning vaccine mandates for bars and restaurants, to the Senate voting to roll back Biden’s vaccine mandate for health care workers, the world seems to be increasingly done with the idea of compulsory shots. It’s not difficult to understand why. Protests, such as the highly-publicized Canadian trucker convoy, certainly played a role, but new information from Pfizer recently released listing a formidable number of possible side effects had people wondering...

We have electricity, gas, water, the communal services are working," said Oleksandr Yakovlev, mayor of Skadovsk. "People and volunteers have organized themselves into associations to prevent looting. We can only contact the central state power authorities by phone. But how can they help us now?". "There are big problems with logistics. People can't pick up their pensions at the post office, because no money has been delivered." Skadovsk is located some 30 kilometers (about 18 miles) from the administrative border with Russian-occupied Crimea, and 100 kilometers from Kherson. “Jesus Is Determined--and Compassionate” (Luke 13:31-35) Two things that we see about Jesus in our text today: 1) He is determined, and 2) He is compassionate. And that combination is the very best news for you. Let’s take a look now, under the theme, “Jesus Is Determined--and Compassionate.” First of all, Jesus is determined. He’s determined to finish what he started. Nothing or no one can scare him off, not the Pharisees, not Herod the tetrarch of Galilee. Our text begins: “At that very hour some Pharisees came and said to [Jesus], ‘Get away from here, for Herod wants to...
