There’s a mole in his organization.
This is starting to remind me of a movie from 1978;
“Whose Killing the Great Chefs of Europe?”
It was a comedy/mystery with Robert Morley as a gluttonous gourmand.
He didn’t look like much.
It looks like Russia expects its generals to be at the front lines.
Story from back in the 70’s
russian diplomat comes to US army intallation. After the tour he informs his host ‘You have a strange military. Your sergeants are fat and your generals are slender. In our army it’s the opposite.

Ah yes, the ever lovely and graceful Jacqueline Bisset.
She was seen by some as ‘The Next Elizabeth Taylor’.
“I only remembered that movie because it had my big teenage crush, Jacqueline Bisset, in it.”
“You old, bro.”

I had the poster of her from “The Deep” in my bedroom.
That’s General Paresis.

Putin probably didn't get a "harumph" out of him at the last strategy meeting. Otherwise he'd be tooling around the Black Sea in his yacht.
If that ends up the case Russia will just take them into Russia Proper as they’ve done in the past.
Russian special forces captured the intelligence officers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine recently.

....I would like to say hello to my parents and relatives. Everything is in order with me, they treat me well, they give me food, everything is wonderful. I think that it is better to solve the war through peaceful negotiations, and not by armed aggression.”
(PS I can’t lift his photo from that site)
It sounds contrived.
I had Frank Zappa sitting on the toilet.
That’s the usual response with anything out of Russia - time will tell once this is over.
