Drone footage recorded in the area of Bovary located northeast of Kyiv shows an NLAW initiated point blank ambush on a Russian tank unit in the middle of a road.
From the footage it seems a Ukrainian forward infantry element took position in and around the wood left west of the Russian armor column and started to engage the vehicles from close range with anti-tank weapons such as the NLAW, some RPG variants and small arms fire.
Russian forces reacted with counterfire from their tanks and infantry fighting vehicles and quickly began to disperse after the first shoots.
The ambush occured on the E95 about 10km north of Bovary and about 5km north from Skybyn, the place where Ukrainian forces recently released another drone video that showed the retreat of the 6th Russian Tank Regiment from the 90. Tank Division after accurate artillery, anti-tank and tank fire by Ukrainian troops.
It is possible that this video is from the same battle but since we can not confirm this it also can be that this is from another Russian attempt to close in on Kyiv via Bovary.
In the end of the video we deliver some more context to the footage so make sure to watch the video to the end.

Meanwhile the Ru**ians surround 80,000 soldiers and not a peep. Let’s all cheer Ukraine and watch Russian civilians die of starvation.
Yayyyyyyy I love war more than the pandemic! Hurrayyyy for America and Brandon and Kamala
The armored vehicles were still under power and able to fight.
Warfare is fun and we’re good at it.(Sarcasm)

Russia has all the time in the world to achieve their objectives and there isn’t a “damn thing we can do about it.”
What do the veterans here think? Looks like they were too close to get away. The first shot was around 50 meters, the NLAW has a 1 km range.
Was terrain and trees a factor in getting that close?
Looks like the Ukes got 1 tank. 2 russian tanks returned fire but doubt if they hit anything.
“ The first shot was around 50 meters, the NLAW has a 1 km range.”
Maybe they are just used to RPGs to attack tanks, that require you to get that close.
More likely, in my opinion, is that it was a small unit sticking together to conduct the ambush. One guy got the NLAW, and others had RPGs.
This is all a good distraction for our problems at home and our border being invaded. They can all nuke each other for all I care.
I care about both our southern border and Ukraine repelling invaders. You should too.
From comments in video What you dont realize is that the 125mm cannon of that tank is shelling the ukranian position BUT if you watch closely you can see the big explosion followed by a smaller one on the bottom left. The smaller one is a ukranian soldier shooting his rocket at the tank. That soldier got shelled by the 125mm, stood his ground and nailed his rocket straight into that tank. Balls of steel!
The two tanks make an impressive display, firing two HE rounds in the general direction of the Ukrainian, but other than a lot of flash and fire, they don't appear to have hit anything.
That hit tank keeps rolling because the dead driver's foot is still on the accelerator. If everybody in the tank wasn't killed by the initial hit, they certainly were dead when the ammo started burning.
We’re not allowed to say Russia anymore unless we discuss them as mere targets that deserve death. The nice thing is the reps and dems are all speaking like good old buddies. We knew it all along didn’t we? Both sides do the same thing?
Doesn't matter when the infantry is chopped up. That was a good ambush. More NLAWS or Javelins firing after they left the kill zone, or mortar fire on the opposite side of the road would have been nice to see. Good IRD (immediate reaction drill) to leave KZ by Russians, but they had some good machinegun fire on the IFVs....you law 3 Russians drop trying to stop and assist their comrade....and 2 of them got dropped by small arms fire. When you are in an ambush zone...you unass the ambush zone. If I were the Russians I would have gone TOWARDS the Ukes with all that armor and infantry. Sometimes running towards the ambushes is the best way to break it. ALso, all those tanks behind the ambush should have tried to outflanke the Ukes.....but I bet their scared of a counter ambush. Those Javelins/NLAWs must be tearing up those Ruskies.
their=they’re. Stupid IPAD.
“Ukrainian Soldiers Knock Out Russian Tank With NLAW In Point Blank Ambush”
They used a Mother-NLAW to destroy the tank?
Clever
It could have been a Ukrainian Stugna-P. That system allows launch control unit to run a cable to the launcher. The operator guides the missile by the thermal imaging camera in the nose. If that was the case, the Ukrainian operators could be a few hundred meters away from where the missile was.
