Of all the outside advisers urging President Trump to seize control of federal elections this fall, the attorney Peter Ticktin can claim the deepest ties; the two men went to military school together as teenagers. In 2022, Ticktin helped Trump sue Hillary Clinton. This year, he pushed Trump to secure a pardon for Tina Peters, a former Colorado clerk convicted of charges related to tampering with election equipment.

Advisers urge Trump to declare national emergency, seize federal control of the midterm
Trump just needs to suspend use of the mail for ballots, and shut down the Internet on election night and beyond to limit the cheating. Some executive order already covers this.
Many think we are headed toward martial law before Trump’s term ends anyway, given how every day gets weirder and weirder, things become more violent and chaotic, and the world moves faster toward wars on many fronts. We shall see.

There is ZERO reason for anyone to vote by mail. Covid was 6 yrs ago, its over, move on! Obama won twice with people voting in person, so did Trump his first term, if you want to vote, go vote in person like it always used to be before China created covid to screw with our economy
This is just my opinion, based on my reading of the election clause and how previous elections have been handled:
Election Day is a one-day event, and while they can cheat, eventually (even in CA) the ballots are counted and a winner is announced. No state or federal laws allow for “do-overs” if someone doesn’t like the way the election was handled. It’s a one-time thing and that’s why Mike Pence claimed his hands were tied by the Constitution. You can hate him all you like, but he was right about that - just go read Article 1, Section, 4, Clause 1 for yourself. You either follow the election law or you don’t, and Pence was not going to go extra-constitutional and make up stuff.
My point is: when Trump announces something weeks or months in advance, they have time to get a federal judge to issue an injunction against it. But if he does anything on election day, they can’t use that trick. No state or county has ever held a presidental election re-do and legal scholars say they cannot. The only congressional election re-do in recent history was 2019 in North Carolina after a ballot-harvesting scandal.
It’s possible - but highly unlikely. More likely is some judge might be butthurt over actions taken on election day but won’t have the ability to change the outcome or order a re-do.

I’m thinking there will be a higher than normal number of voting by mail occurring well in advance of the election date, and less that rolls in after the election date.
Thankfully, several of our data centers are connected by fiber that we own and that goes through our facilities (with no co-tenants) that we also own. So for that little slice of the network world, the intranet as our network group sees it (but the Internet to our user base) will continue to run.
Elections are run by the states and administered by county officials. The feds not only have no authority to suspend elections, they have no conceivable mechanism for doing so.

What happened in 2020?
If you accept that bidEn won fair and square, and Trump’s insistence it was stolen is not true, okay, what you say is justifiable.
OTOH, if you know that 2020 was indeed stolen, Trump is absolutely correct now for 6 years insisting this. That Sydney Powell, Guiliani, Lindell, Tina Peters and so on are correct, this is Treason. It was a an attack on this Republic. It is an act of War. And, very importantly, it is actionable by the military.
If the latter case you can accept, then consider that Trump is already laying the case for EO’s 14248 and 14399 (USPS on mail-in ballots) and EO 13848 (from Sept 2018, fully in force, recently renewed last month), Foreign interference in a domestic election, then not as POTUS but as CIC, Trump can indeed declare a national emergency with respect to elections, impenetrable by the judiciary at any level, and only overturnable by 2/3 of both houses of congress.
What other authoritarian steps would you like for him to take afterwards?
