FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. The Justice Department announced Thursday it has sued the State of Texas over its restrictive voting law that went into effect in September. The complaint argues SB1 violates Section 208 of the Voting Rights Act "by improperly restricting what assistance in the polling booth voters who have a disability or are unable to read or write can receive." SB1 affects voters who have a disability by preventing those who assist them from providing help like answering questions on their behalf, confirming voters with visual impairments have properly marked their ballots and responding to any requests they might have about certain...

OPEC and its allies agreed at a meeting on Thursday to stick to plans to raise oil output by 400,000 barrels per day from December, despite calls from the United States for extra supply to cool rising prices....OPEC+ sources said the United States has plenty of capacity to raise production itself if it believes the world's economy needs more energy. Sources have said Saudi Arabia and Russia are becoming more confident that the higher prices will not elicit a fast increase in output by the U.S. shale gas industry....The world's largest oil producer, the United States, which is not part...

Thousands of years ago, God gave mankind his 10 Commandments which became the basis for law and Western Civilization. Unfortunately, it's been a long time since they were updated to be more suitable for modern audiences! NOT OK! Thankfully, woke scholars have done just that! Here are the newly updated "woke" 10 Commandments. 1) Thou shalt have no other Gods before the all-powerful State (duh!) 2) Thou shalt not make for yourself any graven image (unless it's a giant bronze BLM raised fist you bow down to every morning) 3) Thou shalt not take the name of your Lord God...

Suggest minorities who disagree with Democrats are 'white supremacists' Journalists and other Democrats are doing what they always do when Republicans have a good election: 1) Denouncing the voters as mindless rubes who, if not virulent racists themselves, are easily brainwashed into supporting white supremacy, and 2) completely ignoring the historic success of GOP candidates of color. Mainstream reporting on the Virginia gubernatorial election, for example, has focused on Republican governor-elect Glenn Youngkin's "repulsively cynical" campaign "built heavily around stoking white grievance" and pumping "raw right-wing sewage directly into the minds of the GOP base." Standard fare, really. At the...

The team behind the rescue of Cleo Smith were given a round of applause as they enjoyed a pint at a pub to celebrate the safe return of the four-year-old girl. Nearly 50 officers, including forensics, data analysts and detectives, were given the hero's welcome by pubgoers as they packed into the Carnarvon watering hole. The group was part of Taskforce Rodia - the team responsible for finally ending an 18-day long search mission that began when Cleo was allegedly kidnapped from her family tent at the remote Blowholes campsite in Western Australia on October 16. The accused Terence Darrell...

I got a bunch of Tic Toks saying Biden has sent letters to farmers to destroy their crops. They are showing farmers cutting their crops down because Biden's FDA is paying 1 1/2 times the going price and threatening their subsidies if they don't do it. They are even pouring out oil on roads to waste the oil. We will be starving in 8 months. No wonder Bill Gates has been buying all the farm land. Has anyone else heard the same thing? I'm sure there are plenty of Freepers that live in Kansas.

If you or someone you know dies or gets injured from any of the three COVID-19 vaccines — which medical experts say is rare — legal compensation is available. But the process is different and generally more limited compared to other vaccines. Most routine vaccinations in the U.S., including the measles, hepatitis, flu, Tdap and polio shots, are covered by the National Vaccine Injury Compensation Program (VICP), which was created by the National Childhood Vaccine Injury Act of 1986 following several lawsuits against vaccine manufacturers and health care providers. The VCIP covers injury-related expenses for diagnosis, medical care and rehabilitation...

The White House on Thursday said President Biden is "perfectly comfortable" with the Department of Justice (DOJ) settling with illegal migrants separated from their families under the Trump administration. White House deputy press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre made the comment in response to Fox News White House correspondent Peter Doocy after Biden Wednesday told Doocy that reports of his administration offering up to $450,000 to illegal migrants are "garbage" and "not gonna happen." BIDEN ADMINISTRATION DEBATES PAYING ‘HUNDREDS OF MILLIONS’ TO FAMILIES SEPARATED AT THE BORDER During the Thursday briefing, Doocy asked Jean-Pierre to address a statement from ACLU Executive Director...

Explanation: Dwarf galaxies NGC 147 (left) and NGC 185 stand side by side in this sharp telescopic portrait. The two are not-often-imaged satellites of M31, the great spiral Andromeda Galaxy, some 2.5 million light-years away. Their separation on the sky, less than one degree across a pretty field of view, translates to only about 35 thousand light-years at Andromeda's distance, but Andromeda itself is found well outside this frame. Brighter and more famous satellite galaxies of Andromeda, M32 and M110, are seen closer to the great spiral. NGC 147 and NGC 185 have been identified as binary galaxies, forming a...

Now, that you’re gone Joe, I just wanted to say thanks for everything you’ve done for the country. You were around a long time, all the way back to 1775. You waged a lot of battles, fought plenty of bad guys and helped bring down evil empires. You crossed the Delaware with Washington, trudged endlessly through the steaming jungles of the South Pacific, climbed Pointe du Hoc to save the world and battled sandstorms and Jihadis from the 73 Easting to Tal Afar. As General MacArthur said so eloquently, “From one end of the world to another, you drained deep...

You don't need a big showy celestial event like an eclipse to have a magical moment with the night sky. Sometimes, the subtler experiences are just as moving. Head out in the evening on Sunday, Nov. 7 to witness the scenic crescent moon posing with Venus nearby. While Sunday will see the moon and Venus at their snuggliest, you'll have an extended window for some great planet-spotting opportunities. "From Nov. 6th through the 11th, watch the moon glide past Venus, Saturn, and Jupiter after sunset in the south/southwest," NASA said. Jupiter and Saturn will appear to move closer to Venus...

The executive director of an organization dedicated to helping LGBT individuals in dangerous states told France24 in an interview published Tuesday that the Taliban had organized a “kill list” of suspected LGBT people in Afghanistan and is widely distributing it among its jihadis in an attempt to execute all those identified. The Taliban is a radical Sunni Islamist organization that considers gay identity haram, or an affront to its interpretation of Islam. Jihadists in nearly all terrorist organizations have engaged in brutal killings of people suspected of being gay or lesbian; some jihadists support forcing gay people into gender reassignment...
