That is on full display as more details emerge with news the star Packers quarterback will miss Sunday’s highly anticipated game against the Chiefs after testing positive for COVID-19 while unvaccinated. Rodgers “petitioned the NFL to have an alternate treatment that he underwent before he returned to the Packers that would allow him to be considered the same as someone who received one of the approved vaccinations,” according to ESPN. NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reported that Rodgers “received homeopathic treatment from his personal doctor to raise his antibody levels.” The NFL reportedly deliberated about Rodgers’ request before declining it.

1,000 nuclear warheads by 2030 The updated estimate marks a dramatic increase from the projection reported in last year’s China Military Power report, which placed the tally around 400 warheads within a decade. Washington has previously called on China to join the U.S. and Russia in a new arms control treaty. The report also raises concerns over Beijing’s increasingly aggressive behavior toward Taiwan. “The historical task of the complete reunification of the motherland must be fulfilled and will definitely be fulfilled,” Xi said in an October 8 address.

Explanation: The Horsehead Nebula is one of the most famous nebulae on the sky. It is visible as the dark indentation to the orange emission nebula at the far right of the featured picture. The horse-head feature is dark because it is really an opaque dust cloud that lies in front of the bright emission nebula. Like clouds in Earth's atmosphere, this cosmic cloud has assumed a recognizable shape by chance. After many thousands of years, the internal motions of the cloud will surely alter its appearance. The emission nebula's orange color is caused by electrons recombining with protons to...

Trump as the president worked to revive the coal mining industry because even though fewer and fewer power plants utilize the fossil fuel domestically, there is a massive global market for coal in the developing world. China and India, for instance, have voracious appetites for coal as most of their power plants coming online burn coal to generate power (and they do that because coal is far cheaper than natural gas and nuclear power). But because the Biden regime is being run by insane leftists whose agenda includes crashing the country so they can rebuild it in their Marxist image,...

Former Australian Prime Minister Tony Abbott is one of far too few people in Australia who have condemned the police state tactics used against their political opponents by the socialist left Andrews government of the state of Victoria. This morning I witnessed a beating of a homeless man outside the parliament that looked very similar to what we have see far too often. Two young police officers holding a debilitated motionless unfortunate to the sidewalk while a third officer beat him with a truncheon. I don't know everything about what preceded the beating but the number of police present suggested...

An Alaska Superior Court judge has issued a preliminary injunction halting part of a state law that restricts who can conduct abortions. Judge Josie Garton issued a ruling on Tuesday that allows nonphysician health care providers, such as nurse practitioners and physician assistants, to provide medication to induce abortion. The case was brought by a branch of Planned Parenthood that serves the Northwest, Hawaii, Alaska, Indiana and Kentucky. The organization filed a lawsuit in 2019 against a law that prohibits anyone other than a licensed physician from performing abortions. Alaska is one of many states that have laws saying only...

“National Right to Life congratulates Mike Carey on his win in Ohio’s 15th Congressional District,” said Carol Tobias, president of National Right to Life. “Carey’s support for commonsense pro-life policies like the Hyde Amendment and protecting unborn babies from late abortions resonated with voters. Conversely, Allison Russo’s embrace of abortion without limits and funded by taxpayers proved to be a nonstarter.” National Right to Life was actively involved in working to educate voters in the district on the clear contrast between the candidates. The Ohio special election becomes the latest election in which a National Right to Life-endorsed candidate defeated...

Democrats across America collapse in histrionic fits of apoplexy in 3… 2… 1… “Racist!” “White supremacy!” “Raaaacism!” Yes, noted white supremacist and Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis on Wednesday announced a plan to create a new police unit to target election fraud on a full-time basis, also saying he wants state lawmakers to enhance penalties for cheaters — all in an effort to enhance election integrity. As I suggested in the headline, Democrats are no doubt devastated by the news: “Not good.” Why not, obscure Democrat?

Will “must issue” become the constitutional law of the land for states and counties requiring permits to carry firearms? The Supreme Court heard oral arguments today on that issue in reviewing a challenge to a New York law that left issuance at the discretion of officials. If Josh Gerstein’s instincts are correct — and they seem supported by the exchanges he quotes — the “bear” part of the Second Amendment’s “keep and bear arms” looks headed for significant expansion: The Supreme Court appears inclined to wipe out a series of gun control measures that require firearm owners to show a...

New Jersey Gov. Phil Murphy (D) has clinched a second term after defeating former state Assembleyman Jack Ciattarelli (R) in the state’s unexpectedly tight gubernatorial contest. Murphy beat back Ciattarelli in a race that polls had shown slightly narrowed in the final few weeks of the campaign. While, New Jersey’s blue hue proved too deep for Ciattarelli to overcome, the former state lawmaker ran far ahead of expectations, holding a lead over Murphy for much of Tuesday night before falling slightly behind in the early morning hours on Wednesday. Both candidates effectively declared victory early Wednesday morning while saying more votes...

You know the drill by now, Twitchy reader. We find an awesome thread that doesn’t need much intro from us and let them do all the work … Heh. Actually, joking aside, this thread is pretty damn awesome, going into detail about how Glenn Youngkin WON IN VIRGINIA. The state they said was blue. The state they said wouldn’t flip. The state where Obama, both Bidens, Kamala Harris, Pharrell, Stacey Abrams, and Dave Matthews stumped for McAuliffe. Youngkin did it. And it isn’t because America loves white supremacy. Sorry, not sorry, Jemele Hill. Take a look, you’ll thank us. Trump...

President Biden responded Wednesday to a report that suggested his administration was mulling whether to make $450,000 payments to immigrants who were separated from their families at the border under former President Trump's administration, calling the reporting "garbage" and saying that it is "not gonna happen." Following remarks at the White House where he urged parents to get their children vaccinated, Biden was asked by Fox News White House Correspondent Peter Doocy about the Wall Street Journal's report and whether he believes it "might incentivize" immigrants to attempt to enter America illegally. Biden responded, "If you guys keep sending that...

No one can actually say, at this point, why exactly Glenn Youngkin defeated Terry McAuliffe in the Virginia governor's race. That doesn't mean everyone isn't already saying everything, however, or that it doesn't matter that a Republican just won fairly handily in a state Joe Biden carried by 10 points a year ago...... Speaking of which, one of the newer fundamentals in this country's politics is that elections are only legitimate if Republicans win them. At least according to Republicans. You may notice there have been zero concerns raised about Voter Fraud or any other phantasmagorical election threat in the...

Republicans raked in sweeping elections wins in Long Island on Tuesday, making gains that New York’s political establishment didn’t expect.Republicans won county executive and comptroller races in Nassau County, a blue-leaning bellwether that President Joe Biden won by 10 points in the 2020 presidential election.I can't put into words the stunning turn of politics happening on Long Island tonight. Republicans are leading in all major races. County Exec, District Atty, County Clerk, County Comptroller, N. Hempstead, Oyster Bay and Hempstead town supervisors, and several key leg races…— Randi Marshall (@randimarshall) November 3, 2021The wins amount to historic Republican gains in...

All of these characters are the unlikely heroes who helped bring COVID-19 vaccines into the world, and their personalities are brought to life by Wall Street Journal reporter Greg Zuckerman in his new book, A Shot to...

“When I joined the Marine Corps, I was still a Jamaican. But this country had done so much for me, I was willing, willing, to die for this country,” Sears, a Marine veteran, told a boisterous crowd in Chantilly, Va., before leading them in a chant of “USA.” “I’m telling you that what you are looking at is the American dream,” said Sears, a mother of three daughters. Supporters linked to photos of Sears holding an assault-style weapon on social media on Election Day. Sears, a staunch supporter of Second Amendment gun rights, also used a photo of her holding...

[Catholic Caucus] An Unwanted “Gift” from Cardinal Cupich The blog PrayTell has recently published an article from Blase Cardinal Cupich, Archbishop of Chicago, in which His Eminence makes some rather strange and bizarre claims in order to justify what he sees as the "The Gift of Traditionis Custodes". Firstly, the Cardinal makes the following rather odd analogy:In 1983, Pope John Paul II reformed the Code of Canon Law of 1917, in order to insure that Church Law conformed to the teachings of the Second Vatican Council. Likewise, the saintly pope in 1993 [sic] reformed the Catechism of the Catholic...

Dear friends, was last night's election wins for Republican candidates a good sign of things to come? That really is the question at hand in light of our EXPONENTIALLY growing lawless society and imploding culture. It is kind of exciting to see some big commie leftists like Terry "the Punk" Mcalliff lose the Virginia governor race and that people are somewhat waking up a little bit in light of our full-blown cultural Marxist society and culture. Again, is such a big win for Republicans a sign or harbinger of good things to come or is it rather a slight physical...
