Actually, joking aside, this thread is pretty damn awesome, going into detail about how Glenn Youngkin WON IN VIRGINIA. The state they said was blue. The state they said wouldn’t flip. The state where Obama, both Bidens, Kamala Harris, Pharrell, Stacey Abrams, and Dave Matthews stumped for McAuliffe.
Youngkin did it.
And it isn’t because America loves white supremacy. Sorry, not sorry, Jemele Hill.

That was a good read. And good advice. However, I think a better plan is for pushing these ideas OUTSIDE the realm of politics. We spend far, FAR too much of our time asking politicians to do the right thing. Which to me is kind of like asking a snake to stop slithering and hissing. We would be better off having a culture that demands all the above as a matter of right, not something we should have to approach politicians and ask pretty please for.
Politics is downstream from culture.

I’m thinking Youngkin’s win is as much a repudiation of the Brandon economy as it is a repudiation of the CRT mess and the trans-rapes in Loudoun County. The drastic increases in food and gas got the attention of the soccor moms, big time.
No point in arguing with liberals. It’s like talking to cats. (Although the cat I had years ago was way more intelligent than any CNN face.)
It’s long past time we just say “Because I say so.” That is the standard with balky children. And we back that up with “Do you feel lucky?”
Pharrell and Dave Mathews?
Pharrell had that one earworm of a hit “Happy” way back in 2013. He was a big BLM supporter.
Dave Matthews band always puts me to sleep before the first verse has been sung. He has an appeal to some people.
The same way Neil Diamond used to have a very strong following, others couldn’t figure it out. It’s like putting on an old leather jacket, one that still sort of, kind of fits.

The bad news messaging began early on.
McA’s poll numbers sank like the Titanic AFTER he blithely paraded top Dems around Va like they were prized pooches at a petting zoo.
Obumba was even more despicable than the Black Mack truck......Ga “Gov” Stacy Abrams.
Obumba stupidly dissed “culture wars” to fighting-mad Va mama bears already on the march, having been provoked by sap-happy McA.
Stacy Abrams was given a wide girth after whining about “stolen elections.”
Biden not only pulled McA into negative poll territory, but the simpleton scared off Hill Dems from passing his multi-trillion dollar legacy, as they ran for the hills to escape Biden’s kiss of death.
The state where Obama, both Bidens, Kamala Harris, Pharrell, Stacey Abrams, and Dave Matthews stumped for McAuliffe.
Leave it to the Democrats. When voters were resisting the idea that politicians are trying to run all aspects of their lives and their children’s lives, the Democrats bring in a bunch of elite politicians telling them how they are going to run their lives and their children’s lives.
Obviously, a White Supremacist.
Saw this earlier today. The posts make the point that Trump was successful because he grabbed the middle class. But he won’t be with us forever so other Republicans should follow his strategy.

I like the way she looks ie no nonsense and tough.
Youngkin ran a good campaign and did great during an off-year, but that is not why he won.
There was no cheating because Republicans decided to take cheating seriously in this election. A few key points.
1. Trump would have beaten Youngkin 54% to 46% in a head-to-head race. The idea that Trump did worse than Youngkin is the “Big Lie.”
2. Overall 851,000 votes were added to Biden’s totals and only 318,000 were awarded to President Trump between 11:14pm (Eastern) on November 3rd and 5:00am November 4th (nothing close to this happened this time).
3. Biden outperformed both Obama and Hillary by 500,000 votes (Hillary’s margin was 9,000 more than Obama’s second term win). This added 500,000 votes is way outside Dem growth rate.
4. The difference between the early morning vote dump and Trump was almost exactly the 500,000 vote lead that Biden had over Hillary and Obama.
5. Republican poll watchers and lawyers were working early at all mail-in voting places and gave Youngkin the win by stopping the steal.
Trump and his agenda won the state too. However, McConnell supported the steal. And if you’re wondering, Trump got over 300,000 more votes than Youngkin.
