From wearing masks and social distancing to locking everyone down and destroying the economy, experts are all suggesting that we just try the same things we did last time that didn't work at all. "We are going to lock down, wear masks, and social distance, all of which didn't work, but hey. It's worth...

Severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) proteins were measured in longitudinal plasma samples collected from 13 participants who received two doses of mRNA-1273 vaccine. Eleven of 13 participants showed detectable levels of SARS-CoV-2 protein as early as day 1 after first vaccine injection. Clearance of detectable SARS-CoV-2 protein correlated with production of immunoglobulin G (IgG) and immunoglobulin A (IgA).

Thank you very much, Chairman Thompson. Thank you to all of my colleagues on this committee, and thank you to each of the witnesses appearing before us today. It is because of you -- you held the line, you defended all of us, you defended the Capitol, and you defended the Constitution and our Republic, and every American owes you our undying gratitude. Every American, I hope, will be able to hear your testimony today and will watch the videos. The videos show the unbelievable violence and the inexcusable and intolerable cruelty that you all faced, and people need to...

Background: Pfizer has been extremely aggressive in trying to protect the details of their international COVID19 vaccine agreements. Luckily, I've managed to get one. If you were wondering why #Ivermectin was suppressed, well, it is because the agreement that countries had with Pfizer does not allow them to escape their contract, which states that even if a drug will be found to treat COVID19 the contract cannot be voided. Supplying the product: "Pfizer shall have no liability for any failure to deliver doses in accordance with any estimated delivery dates... nor shall any such failure give Purchaser any right to...

The collaborative research team formed by the Department of Pharmacology and Pharmacy and Department of Microbiology, LKS Faculty of Medicine, The University of Hong Kong (HKUMed), has developed an inhalable dry powder formulation of tamibarotene, a repurposed drug that exhibits broad-spectrum antiviral activity against SARS-CoV-2, MERS-CoV and influenza A H1N1 virus following pulmonary delivery. The work has been published online in Advanced Therapeutics in June 2021. In response to the unpredictable epidemic and pandemic outbreaks of influenza and coronavirus, early administration of a broad-spectrum antiviral agent could be an effective strategy to control the spread of respiratory infections. The HKUMed...

Dozens of guests will reportedly gather at the Obamas’ Hamptons mansion, which they purchased in 2019. According to The Hill, Oprah Winfrey and George Clooney are among the gilded guests — both of whom happened to campaign for Obama before or during his presidency.

As the President Joe Biden winds down United States military involvement in Afghanistan, a conflict spanning nearly 20 years, the U.S. Justice Department seeks the harshest sentence ever for the unauthorized disclosure of information in a case against an Afghanistan War veteran. Daniel Hale, who "accepted responsibility" for violating the Espionage Act, responded to the spitefulness of prosecutors by submitting a letter [PDF] to Judge Liam O'Grady, a judge for the district court in the Eastern District of Virginia. It could be construed as a plea for mercy from the court ahead of sentencing, but more than anything, it outlines...

Democrats have frequently panned Republican and conservative media narratives on crime-ridden cities, but an 80-year-old former Democrat senator was reportedly a victim of an assault and robbery Monday on the streets of Oakland, California. Former Sen. Barbara Boxer, D-Calif., tweeted an account on Twitter: "Earlier today former Senator Barbara Boxer was assaulted in the Jack London Square neighborhood of Oakland. The assailant pushed her in the back, stole her cell phone and jumped in a waiting car. She is thankful that she was not seriously injured." The incident occurred on broad daylight 1:15 p.m. local time in the 300 block...

Rep. Matt Gaetz’s future sister-in-law has reportedly described the embattled Florida congressman as “weird and creepy” and said she was “unfortunately not surprised” he is under federal investigation for alleged sex crimes. Roxanne Luckey, 20 — the sister of Gaetz’s fiancée, Ginger Luckey — lambasted the Republican pol in three TikTok videos over his alleged treatment of young women, according to the Daily Beast. On Monday, she alleged that Gaetz pressured an older man to court her when she was 19 — calling the move “weird and creepy” and claiming he yelled at her and her mom and went “full...

Two top Republicans in the Arizona Senate issued two new subpoenas late Monday for materials from the 2020 election as they look to continue their unprecedented review of former President Donald Trump’s loss in Maricopa County. The subpoenas issued by Senate President Karen Fann and Judiciary Committee Chairman Warren Petersen set up a new confrontation with the Republican leaders of Maricopa County, who have vowed to stop producing materials for the Senate’s review. They say the review is being run by incompetent grifters, and they’ve already provided everything needed to review the 2020 vote count. Fann and Petersen also, for...

Results of a compassionate-use study released in STEM CELLS Translational Medicine show promising results for treating muscular dystrophies with mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) derived from Wharton’s jelly (WJ), a substance found in the umbilical cord. Led by doctors at Klara Medical Center (KMC), Czestochowa, Poland, these WJ-MSC treatments resulted in significant improvement in several body muscles in most of the patients, with no serious side effects. “Administration of WJ-MSCs in neurological indications is controversial; still, this paper shows that cell therapy is a reasonable experimental treatment option, although the eligibility criteria for treatment needs to be optimized,” said Beata Świątkowska-Flis,...

Army Maj. Gen. Patrick Donahoe, commanding general of the U.S. Army Maneuver Center of Excellence at Fort Benning lashed out at critics and asked his Twitter followers to “block and report” people he called “trolls” and “the disinformation tinfoil hat team,” after they criticized his tweet urging people to get vaccinated. Hillsdale College graduate student and Marine veteran, Josiah Lippincott, responded, saying there were 26 military suicides in the 4th quarter of 2020 — the same number as total military deaths due to the coronavirus. “The lockdowns, liberty restrictions, quarantines, and general disruption of servicemember’s lives is a way bigger...

usan Wright faces off against fellow Republican Jake Ellzey in Tuesday’s special election runoff to replace her late husband, U.S. Rep. Ron Wright, R-Arlington, in an early gauge of Donald Trump’s political influence since leaving the White House. The former president has backed Wright, a longtime Republican activist, and made a last-minute pitch for her during a telephone rally Monday night, gloating over the May 1 special election in which she finished first — and Democrats failed to advance a candidate.

New research has found that some men who have had COVID-19 might experience unwanted sexual side effects. Contrary to myths circulating on social media, COVID-19 vaccines do not cause erectile dysfunction and male infertility. What is true: SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes COVID-19, poses a risk for both disorders. Until now, little research has been done on how the virus or the vaccines affect the male reproductive system. But recent investigations by physicians and researchers here at the University of Miami have shed new light on these questions. The team, which includes me, has discovered potentially far-reaching implications for men...

Boris Johnson has promised to bring back “chain gangs” as a deterrent for antisocial behaviour. The prime minister said there was “no reason” why offenders should not be forced to wear high-vis jackets while carrying out unpaid work. It would ensure they were “visibly paying their debt to society,” he said. He referred to them as “fluorescent-jacketed chain gangs” in a move that is likely to cause controversy due to their historical use in the southern US states and the convict era of Australia. Johnson was speaking during a visit to Surrey police headquarters with Priti Patel, the home secretary,...

If you want to really get under the skin of CNN's Chris Cillizza then just refer to the Covid-19 vaccines as the "Trump vaccine." He really really dislikes that term. In fact, he told us how much that term irked him on Monday in "What Sarah Sanders gets wrong about the Covid-19 vaccine." What disturbed him was an op-ed Sanders wrote which was published in the Arkansas Democrat Gazette on Sunday. What specifically bothered him? Cillizza reveals what he found so disturbing.

Tuesday on ABC’s “Good Morning America,” Rep. Liz Cheney (R-WY), a member of the 1/6 select committee, would not rule out calling on House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) and Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH) to testify regarding their roles leading up to the riot at the U.S. Capitol on January 6. Cheney stressed the importance of getting to the bottom of what led to the riot. She said Jordan could be a material witness and that McCarthy could be subpoenaed. “You know, this is absolutely not a game,” Cheney emphasized. “This is deadly serious. There are some in my party,...

Following the U.S. Woman’s Olympic team’s horrible loss to Sweden the other night after taking a knee for BLM, social justice warrior Megan Rapinoe said women’s sports “still needs to get better” criticism. The team received mounds of criticism which some on the team are not used to. The media hit the team for their poor performance. Sweden crushed the U.S. team to end a 44-game win streak in a rare loss. Rapinoe says she saw a good amount of it. “I know what it is,” she said according to Yahoo Sports. “I’m on social media. I’m not a hermit.”...
