Doctors for Covid Ethics has sent the following letter to tens of thousands of doctors in Europe, summarising four recent scientific findings critical to the COVID-19 vaccination program. The letter explains each finding as it relates to the biology of COVID-19 vaccines, including interactions with the immune system.Taken together, the letter warns that these new pieces of evidence force all physicians administering COVID-19 vaccines to re-evaluate the merits of COVID-19 vaccination, in the interests of their own ethical standing, and their patients’ safety and health.

SIXTEENTH WEEK IN ORDINARY TIME MATTHEW 12:38-42 Friends, today in our Gospel some Pharisees ask Jesus for a sign. And Jesus replies, “An evil and unfaithful generation seeks a sign, but no sign will be given it except the sign of Jonah the prophet,” who was in the belly of the whale for three days and three nights. Jonah was called by God to preach conversion to Nineveh, which is described as an enormously large city. It took, they said, three days to walk through it. I can’t help but think of Nineveh as one of our large, modern cities,...

For two decades Chinese tech firms have flocked to the U.S. stock market, drawn by a friendly regulatory environment and a vast pool of capital eager to invest in one of the world’s fastest-growing economies. Now, the juggernaut behind hundreds of companies worth $2 trillion appears stopped in its tracks. Beijing’s July 10 announcement that almost all businesses trying to go public in another country will require approval from a newly empowered cybersecurity regulator amounts to a death knell for Chinese initial public offerings in the U.S... “It’s unlikely there will be any U.S.-listed Chinese companies in five to 10...

Carnival Is Caught in a High-Stakes Contest It Might Not Win A pandemic conundrum puts CCL stock in a bad place If there was a dubious competition for which blue chip suffered the most from the novel coronavirus pandemic, Carnival (NYSE:CCL) stock would be right up there. Indeed, it was the Diamond Princess cruise ship — under the broad Carnival umbrella — that became the face of the global crisis. Either way, it was a godsend for CCL stock that cruising received the green light to resume operations, however mitigated. Near the end of 2020 to early June of this...

Poor Colorado Governor Jared Polis (D-California) just can’t catch a break. That’s mostly because he’s an incompetent, grasping boob — but who would have thought even he could screw up a multimillion-dollar giveaway to get people vaccinated? The number of weekly vaccinations in Colorado dropped by more than two-thirds between the start and end of the state’s vaccine lottery, following nearly the same trajectory set in the weeks before Gov. Jared Polis announced the $1 million drawings. Plus: “In the week ending July 4 — the last with data on the state’s vaccine dashboard — only about 49,000 people got...

TOKYO — Kara Eaker, an alternate on the United States women’s gymnastics team, has tested positive for COVID-19 in an Olympic training camp in Japan. Al Fong, the personal coach for both Eaker and fellow Olympic alternate Leanne Wong, confirmed the positive test in an email to The Associated Press on Monday. Wong said Eaker, 18, was vaccinated against the novel coronavirus two months ago. Both Eaker and Wong have been placed in isolation. USA Gymnastics did not identify Eaker or Wong but said in a statement that the athlete who tested positive and another alternate would be subject to...

Update (1310ET): Despite Beijing's threat to retaliate against the US if it imposes new sanctions or - worse still - attempts to retaliate with a cyber-offensive of its own, the Biden Administration just released a statement saying it reserves the right to take additional unilateral action. And although it hasn't ruled out unilateral action, it would prefer to act in concert with its international allies.* * *Update (1230ET): Beijing has just responded to the latest allegations by the Biden Administration and its "coalition of allies." In an editorial published by the English language Global Times, the pro-government paper blasted the...

A hard coal power station in Hamburg that generates 1,600 MW was shut down for good on July 7, according to a local news service, a mere six years after its initial opening. And, the Moorburg plant's owner, Vattenfall, aims to pursue a new, hydrogen project at the same site, designed to transform offshore wind energy into green hydrogen. This is a power plant that lasted barely longer than a U.S. presidential term — practically unheard of for power plants generally, which are naturally built to last for much longer.

this was not surprising "because the vaccines are not 100% effective". "They're very, very effective, but not 100%, and as a higher proportion of the population is double-vaccinated, it's inevitable that those 10% of that very large number remain at risk, and therefore will be amongst the people who both catch the infection and end up in hospital."

This whole issue truly is entertaining since it’s a mess created by liberals and their allies in the media. Why is there so much COVID vaccine hesitancy? Are these people in the news business? They’re not. We know that through their liberal bias which they refuse to admit, but also the fact that vaccines have ALWAYS been a touchy subject. It’s not just a public health issue. It’s one that deals directly with families and their decisions—and everyone has an opinion. Everyone raises their kids differently. You can see where things can quickly go off the rails and it has....

Representative Ruben Gallego (D-AZ) said Monday on MSNBC’s “Andrea Mitchell Reports” that former President Donald Trump was a “very dumb man” who could not have attempted a “coup” after the 2020 election without help. Gallego said there must be consequences for those who helped the former president. Mitchell said, “I was reporting at the time, the selection of those civilians who were all people of a particular political stripe to be in the pentagon when they had no experience and no reason for being in there, was certainly a red warning sign. That was happening in plain sight.”

WASHINGTON, D.C. – In an ironic twist, a 2007 interview with then-Senator Joe Biden on the David Letterman show has resurfaced, featuring Biden telling Letterman he was arrested while trespassing at the U.S. Capitol. During the interview, Letterman referred to Biden’s election to the Senate at age 29 and asked Biden: “What was it like, walking into the great Senate chamber at 29 years old?” Biden responded that he actually entered the chamber long before then, saying: “You know, I walked in when I was 21, and I got arrested.” Explaining that the incident occurred on a Saturday when he...

Okay, enough. Enough now. I don’t mean to marginalize death from COVID, but panic porn peddlers just need to put it away right now because the latest fatality figures from LA County are beyond absurd if you want to make an argument for the new mask mandate. The county recently reimposed the mask mandate, even for the vaccinated, due to the spread of the Delta variant that isn’t more lethal and doesn’t make you sicker. Also, we’re back to the same store-bought masks that Dr. Anthony Fauci admitted does next to nothing when it comes to curbing COVID spread; it’s...

There are hundreds of Linux distributions. Some are for general purpose usage, while some are specifically tailored for education, robotics, hacking, gaming and what not. You’ll notice that most of them originate from Debian/Ubuntu, Arch and Red Hat/Fedora. If you like distrohopping and experiment with a range of distributions, you may soon get ‘bored’ out of it. Most Linux distributions would feel too similar after a point and apart from a few visual changes here and there, you won’t get a different experience.Does that sound familiar? If yes, let me list some advanced, independent, Linux distributions to test your expertise.Advanced Linux...
