Kristie (Kirstie, dammit) Alley voiced her opinion about children being exposed to "perverse" content on television and on the internet. The Hollywood actress warned that society's open-mindedness will eventually lead us down a road of accepting pedophilia. Alley's comments angered many, including fellow celebrities and an LGBTQ website."Was watching TV ...we've gone too far in my opinion. I feel sorry for our children," Alley tweeted on Tuesday morning. "Their exposure to everything perverse on every kind of screen is mind boggling. And even more tragic, it's being hyped as 'normal.'" "No other generation has had such easy access to the...

How do you make decisions in our new internet world? Most of us just go to Google and type in the question: "Is it safe to get the COVID-19 vaccine?" The overwhelming response is "Yes!"Every entry below has the same strangely similar results. "Side effects are minor and common." "Side effects are a sign that your vaccine is working properly."When you visit YouTube and do the same search, again, you see a consistent theme. "The risk from the COVID outweigh the risks from the vaccines," and "vaccine side effects are actually a good thing."Check for yourself. But when you go to...

Once upon a time in America, journalists wrote “holiday pieces” out of desperation. In a world where amusement parks and beaches beckoned, where businesses carpet-bombed consumers with holiday sales ads, recreation and crass commercialism overmatched the remembrance of important historical persons and events. The “holiday pieces” were rearguard actions, waged to recall Americans to “the reason for the season.” Now, these holiday defenders are even more badly outnumbered. The Left’s culture warriors have supplanted commercials as the chief enemy of public memory. They don’t aim to hijack commemoration days to serve their commercial ends; they aim to erase the meaning...

The recent Bruce Springsteen concert celebrates the return to post-COVID normalcy...for some. Everyone attending this event was required to show proof of vaccination, which raises some uncomfortable "what if" questions. What if:Forged vaccination documents were used to gain entrance?A handful of people standing in line had a fever and were coughing violently, but carried written proof they'd received the COVID vaccine?A dedicated Springsteen fan had religious, allergy, and medical reasons for not getting the inoculation? An attendee "identified" as a male, but the vaccination "certificate" indicated that she is a female?A handful of enthusiastic "Bruce Tramps" arrived at the concert wearing hermetically...

It hardly matters – who really cares about these things? – and yet it does. This year the Go-Go’s will be inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, and earning a place at the museum in Cleveland, Ohio, for all its naffness, is still a mark of influence and recognition. “I always said: ‘**** them, I don’t care,’” says Belinda Carlisle, the band’s lead singer. “But when it actually happens, it’s: ‘Oh, this is not so bad.’” The Go-Go’s have had a reappraisal in the past year, thanks mainly to a documentary by the film-maker Alison Ellwood. It...

Remember hidden cash? It's back! Sort of. Someone apparently hid $1,000 cash in a box in the woods in Santa Cruz. An account called "The Official Treasure Hunt" popped up on Instagram, promising to post clues of where the money is hidden. New clues are set to be posted on Thursday, the organizer tells ABC7 News. "We were just thinking what's a great way to get people together and bring people to the outdoors, our favorite place," Co-founder Joe Rattay said. "Brendan and I always love a good treasure hunt. What gets you more excited than actually going out in...

Back in May, I reported on a letter Rep. Mike Gallagher (R-WI) sent to Dr. Anthony Fauci about the origins of the Wuhan coronavirus, which The Washington Post included in their coverage. Jerry Dunleavy with The Washington Examiner who has been consistently covering the issue, had an update on Friday. While the congressman did hear back from Dr. Fauci, in a letter from June 25, he is less than thrilled with the level of ignorance:Gallagher told the Washington Examiner, “Dr. Fauci continues to hide behind highly legalistic responses that raise more questions than answers.“Moreover, if it’s true that the man...

Republican senators in Pennsylvania were briefed on a plan for an audit of the 2020 election. The private briefing, conducted by state Sen. Doug Mastriano on Wednesday, is the clearest sign yet that lawmakers in the Keystone State are serious about fulfilling the wishes of former President Donald Trump and his supporters who are pressing for copycats of a controversial audit in Arizona. Mastriano even obtained legal advice from a Philadelphia-based law firm about the GOP caucus using private money to pay for consultants and lawyers. “While we cannot predict how the Pennsylvania Supreme Court would decide the issue, in...

(The Center Square) - The head of the Arizona Corporate Commission worries that California power officials moving their wattage to the front of the line would export power outages to Arizona and elsewhere. The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) recently decided to allow the California Independent System Operator (CAISO) to prioritize energy flow throughout California over Arizona. This concerns to the chairwoman of the Arizona Corporation Commission (ACC), Lea Marquez Peterson. CAISO petitioned FERC to make changes to its tariff related to transmission priority through California in response to the extensive blackouts in August 2020. The summer readiness plan approved...

Tavarus McKinney, 22, and Keona Halliburton, 20, reportedly got into a fight June 6 with employees at a Memphis Burger King after Halliburton complained that her sandwich had too much hot sauce on it. More people have a favorable view of the police and law enforcement agencies than the Black Lives Matter movement, according to a national poll. Sixty-nine percent have either a very favorable view or a favorable view of the police, a poll conducted by Harvard University's Center for American Political Studies showed. The Black Lives Matter movement garnered favorability of 45%, with 39% saying they had an unfavorable or very unfavorable view. Topping the list of the institutions with high favorability was the U.S. military at 78%, then Amazon at 72%, and the FBI at 60%. The Centers for Disease Control...

A customer at a McDonald's in Georgia has been arrested after allegedly spitting on one employee and shooting another during an argument that ensued at the pick-up window. The incident occurred at approximately 9:11 p.m. on Thursday when the suspect, later identified as 26-year-old Devonte Watts of Stone Mountain, Georgia, pulled up to a McDonald's restaurant located off of U.S. Highway 129 North, about 55 miles northeast of Atlanta, and proceeded to order some food, said the Jefferson Police Department in a statement on social media. At some point, an argument between Watts and the employee receiving his order took...

It may seem weird that a hacker would go after an exercise bike, but models these days come with a lot of fancy gadgets and features that can be turned against users to harvest their information. Things get a little scarier when you realize that Peloton bikes also have a microphone and camera installed on them. Hackers can use these to spy on whoever's using the machine. Of course, the hacker needs an active connection to the bike in order to spy on its user in real-time. As such, they'll have to install a backdoor that gives them permission to...

Is there a border crisis? According to DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas, there isn’t — but the illegal crossing numbers indicate that there is. Illegal border crossings have reached a 20-year high. In the four months before Biden took office, illegal crossings averaged 70,000 a month. The number rose to 97,640 in February, the first full month of Biden’s presidency; to 169,204 in March; and to 173,686 in April; and it was 172,011 in May. Recidivism Mayorkas claims that the numbers are misleading because they include the recidivists who make more than one illegal crossing. Recidivism is becoming a major problem....

Information security, the mantra of every hacker, is an oxymoron. It is increasingly difficult to protect against hacking and the unauthorized use of information. As the pandemic continues to hold the spotlight, the technocratic elite move to expedite a global reset, pushing humanity’s dependence upon all things digital, including a global digital currency, and, if they have their way, digital passports. Meanwhile, cyberattacks are picking up speed around the world, along with warnings highlighting past and current attacks. But yet, despite the ever-increasing wealth of information at our fingertips, we don’t really know who is behind them. Paying attention to...

That sentiment, uttered by Republican Sen. Barry Goldwater of Arizona in his 1964 presidential bid was considered to be an example of right-wing extremism which supposedly doomed his candidacy in the aftermath of the JFK assassination. But it was no more extreme than Patrick’ Henry’s “give me liberty or give me death” was centuries earlier when men armed with guns won their and our freedom from a British tyranny so vile that they risked their lives, their fortunes and their sacred honor to resist and overthrow it.Was the Boston Tea Party violent right-wing extremism when a bunch of white males...

Ukraine's defence ministry caused outrage on Friday after it published pictures of female soldiers rehearsing for an upcoming military parade wearing high heels. In the pictures, the female students of a military college are seen wearing military fatigues and black heeled shoes, which even the cadets themselves admit are impractical. "Today we are training in high heels for the first time. It is a little more difficult than in combat boots but we are doing our best," Ivanna Medvid told ArmiaInform, the news agency of the ministry. The images sparked anger online in Ukraine and protests in the country' parliament,

SURFSIDE, Fla. - A top Miami-Dade fire official on Saturday told family members of people missing in the rubble of a collapsed condo building that demolition workers planned to bring down the remainder of the building on Sunday. Worries have intensified over the past week that the damaged structure could come tumbling down on its own, endangering the crews below and complicating the search for victims. Fire Rescue Assistant Fire Chief Raide Jadallah told family members during a morning briefing that the building would be brought down “as soon as possible. First thing tomorrow.” But he cautioned that there “may...
