That sentiment, uttered by Republican Sen. Barry Goldwater of Arizona in his 1964 presidential bid was considered to be an example of right-wing extremism which supposedly doomed his candidacy in the aftermath of the JFK assassination. But it was no more extreme than Patrick’ Henry’s “give me liberty or give me death” was centuries earlier when men armed with guns won their and our freedom from a British tyranny so vile that they risked their lives, their fortunes and their sacred honor to resist and overthrow it.Was the Boston Tea Party violent right-wing extremism when a bunch of white males identifying as Indians threw overtaxed British tea into Boston Harbor or was that just an examplf of sexist and racist cultural appropriation? Mark Zuckerberg might think so as he asks Facebook users to hunt down and snitch on their friends who stayed from so-called “community standards”. The operative word in “community standards” is “commune” kyje Mao’s communes during the Cultutal Revolution where similar behavior was encouraged.
Goldwater’s words were not a threat but rather an observation that the zeal of those who love freedom and are willing to make the ultimate sacrifice to defend it should not be confused with the determination of others to use their power and the power of the state to destroy it. Then we had King George and the British Crown. Today we have Mark Zuckerberg and Facebook.

I post to fake-book to try to get banned.... I DO get “fact” checked a lot
From last week's Torah portion:
Numbers 25ML/NJ6 And, behold, one of the children of Israel came and brought unto his brethren a Midianitish woman in the sight of Moses, and in the sight of all the congregation of the children of Israel, who were weeping before the door of the tabernacle of the congregation.
7 And when Phinehas, the son of Eleazar, the son of Aaron the priest, saw it, he rose up from among the congregation, and took a javelin in his hand;
8 And he went after the man of Israel into the tent, and thrust both of them through, the man of Israel, and the woman through her belly. So the plague was stayed from the children of Israel.
