Once upon a time in America, journalists wrote “holiday pieces” out of desperation. In a world where amusement parks and beaches beckoned, where businesses carpet-bombed consumers with holiday sales ads, recreation and crass commercialism overmatched the remembrance of important historical persons and events.
The “holiday pieces” were rearguard actions, waged to recall Americans to “the reason for the season.” Now, these holiday defenders are even more badly outnumbered. The Left’s culture warriors have supplanted commercials as the chief enemy of public memory. They don’t aim to hijack commemoration days to serve their commercial ends; they aim to erase the meaning of these holidays altogether.

I knew the Demonic left would have a field day this year with Independence Day. Lots of imagined targets and boogie men for them. Just makes them look even stupider and unamerican.
Still surprised that nobody pulls arson attacks on firework stands. I’m sure most of the owners are armed.
Some Good Samaritan puts American flags in all the yards on my block every year. One of my next door neighbors always removes theirs. Pretty sure they’re liberals.
Get a copy of the declaration of independence and nail it to their front door.

I saw on Foxnews Ms Jacobson of Reform Campus clip about students in liberal CA... so depressing.
Now, our enemies want "independence" to have a negative slant. They want America's children to grow up believing slavery via socialism is a good thing.
And democRATs are buying it. So long "Independence."
If anyone, anywhere, for any reason, is enjoying themselves, or proud of the nation, you can bet there is a miserable demon driven liberal plotting how they can destroy that person’s sense of national pride or enjoyment
