While Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez represents part of the Bronx and Queens, she's not really a New Yorker. Although born in the Bronx, the socialist congresswoman was brought up in non-diverse, chi-chi Yorktown Heights (median household income: $137,580) and attended pricy Boston University (annual tuition: $58,560). Her policies has been disastrous for her constituents, whether on a local or national scale. Now she has a challenger. Tina Forte, a Bronx native, an athlete, a passionate MAGA-supporter and patriot, and a social influencer with a sizable following has announced her candidacy and has a knock-yer-socks-off introductory campaign video. What Forte has is grit,...

MINNEAPOLIS — A Minnesota judge denied a request from Derek Chauvin's attorney for a new trial hours before the former Minneapolis police officer is to be sentenced for murder in the death of George Floyd. Hennepin County District Judge Peter Cahill, who will sentence Chauvin Friday afternoon, also denied the defense's request for a hearing on jury misconduct. Prosecutors have asked that Chauvin receive 30 years in prison. His lawyer is seeking probation. The presumptive sentence for a person like Chauvin, who had no criminal history, is 12½ years for second-degree murder. Cahill could sentence him to as little as...

President Biden raised eyebrows on Thursday after he repeatedly whispered to reporters during a press conference at the White House. The president leaned into the microphone on three occasions when giving answers during a discussion about the $1.2 trillion infrastructure deal. When asked about additional relief for families, Biden whispered toward PBS reporter Yamiche Alcindor: “I got them $1.9 trillion in relief so far. They’re going to be getting checks in the mail that are consequential this week for childcare.” Later, when asked by CNN reporter Phil Mattingly about how the deal was brokered despite low expectations, Biden said in...

90 Days since she was tapped as the point person on the Border by the Biden Administration, Kamala Harris finally visits the border. Her performance in this arena has been so bad, even far-left publications are critical of her actions: The liberal Los Angeles Times said Vice President Kamala Harris has been ineffective in her role only five months after fawning over her so hard that the paper’s coverage was labeled “inappropriate and disappointing.” The L.A. paper was ridiculed on social media in January when it announced “Covering Kamala Harris,” a project described as “a beat dedicated to her historic...

A liberal Massachusetts town has created a fund that will be used to pay reparations to eligible black residents to “repair past harms” it committed against them or their ancestors. No money is in the fund yet, but town finance officials have proposed a plan to put $210,000 in the account later this year, The Daily Hampshire Gazette reported. Amherst, a town of more than 39,000 with a black population of just over 2,100, according to the Census Bureau, is home to The University of Massachusetts’ flagship campus and Amherst College, a liberal arts university. Voter registration data shows it’s...

While 100-degree-plus heat is common in parts of the West and even interior Northwest in summer, this triple-digit heat is forecast to spread to even typically cooler locations such as western Washington. What's more, this excessive heat is expected to last for several days, well into next week, a factor that makes heat waves particularly dangerous and life-threatening for those most vulnerable. West of the Cascades in Washington and Oregon, record-breaking heat will arrive Saturday and could linger into Monday, with only a slight cooldown possible starting Tuesday. Seattle will soar well into the mid or upper 90s Saturday, then...

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis recently won a preliminary injunction against the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) for mandating "vaccine passports" for the cruise ship industry. That's according to Associated Press (AP). The CDC stopped cruise ships from sailing in March 2020 in response to the coronavirus pandemic. On October 30 of last year, the CDC reportedly issued a four-phase conditional framework to allow cruise ships to set sail. The framework is said to include mandated Covid-19 vaccines for all passengers and employees. Governor DeSantis argued the framework imposed onerous bureaucratic requirements on the industry. The court reportedly agreed that CDC’s...

To quote Dean Martin, “Ain’t that a kick in the head.” Real interest rates (nominal interest rates less the inflation rate) are more negative than anytime since 1975. The REAL effective Fed Funds rate (on the short end) is the lowest since 1975. The real 10-year Treasury Note yield is also the lowest since 1975. 1975 is notable for a high inflation rate and President Gerald Ford’s infamous song (penned by The Music Man’s Meredith Wilson) “Whip inflation now!” Win! Win! Win! We’ll win together, Win together, That’s, the true American way, today. Who needs inflation? Not this nation. Who’s...

On Wednesday, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) continued its push for COVID-19 vaccination among people 12 years and older, despite the findings of its own report citing more than 1,000 cases of heart inflammation, or myocarditis and pericarditis, in young adults (age 16 and up) since April 2021, following a dose of an mRNA COVID-19 vaccine, such as the Pfizer-BioNTech or Moderna shot.Per the CDC: “As of June 21, 2021, VAERS [Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System] has received 616 reports of myocarditis or pericarditis among people ages 30 and younger who received COVID-19 vaccine. My Christian Church heritage is important to me, because it’s where I began to grow in my faith. Even though the church where I work and call home isn’t part of the Christian Church, we did begin closely tied to them and still send kids to some of their camps and conferences. Until recently, I didn’t know a whole lot about the history of the Christian Church beyond the basics. I knew that the Christian Church grew out of something called the Stone-Campbell Movement in the early 19th century, and I was aware that a few other quasi-denominations sprung from...

WASHINGTON -- The Justice Department is suing Georgia over the state's voting laws, a person familiar with the matter said Friday. The announcement will be made later Friday by Attorney General Merrick Garland. It comes two weeks after Garland said the Justice Department would scrutinize a wave of new laws in Republican-controlled states that tighten voting rules. He pledged to take action if prosecutors found unlawful activity.

In his brilliant book, The Rational Optimist: How Prosperity Evolves, Matt Ridley makes the case that coal saved Britain in the 19th century just as the Industrial Revolution was picking up steam. A similar argument could be made for oil in the United States in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. At mid century, a time when oil from whales was a significant source of energy, the discovery of seemingly limitless amounts of oil in places like Pennsylvania and Texas provided an energy boom like the world had never seen. In the quarter century between 1864 and 1892 the...

An election official in Fulton County, Georgia is blowing the whistle, revealing how Georgia Republican leaders were made aware of severe fraud immediately after the 2020 presidential election but chose to look the other way. The whistleblower released a memo detailing the allegations of poll watcher Carter Jones, who saw riggers on the floor engaging in the double-counting of votes, violating the chain of custody repeatedly, handling ballots improperly, and bragging they were going to “f*ck sh*t up” in the aftermath of the vote. The election official confirmed that Jones’ testimony was relayed to Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger...

Rodney Scott wrote to agents that he will be reassigned... Biggest risk to the United States: Isis? Al Qaeda? Russia? China? Nope. It's—you guessed it—Donald Trump . . . if you believe MSNBC. On Nicolle Wallace's MSNBC show this afternoon, ex-FBI agent-turned-liberal-commentator Clint Watts, reacting to Wallace's breathless build-up about the Trump reinstatement theory, claimed: "The biggest risk to the country isn’t actually from outside the country. It’s not even necessarily from inside the country, but from the last person that was inside the White House."Get the rest of the story and view the video here.

In a House floor speech last night, Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-CO) compared Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) and Harvey Weinstein to President Biden in being [unable to] "give money away," a ding against Biden as 25 states reject enhanced unemployment benefits. See video at link.

Now, there is newly revealed evidence that Fauci may also have given false or misleading statements during a House hearing a year ago that was examining that same funding. As reported exclusively by Fox News, an upcoming book by two Washington Post reporters details how Fauci resisted a presidential directive from the Trump White House in April of 2020 to cancel a research grant to a nonprofit that was funneling taxpayer dollars to the Wuhan lab. Fauci knew why the order had been issued. President Trump was alarmed by various reports connecting risky gain-of-function research inside the lab to the...

Los Angeles County Sheriff Alex Villanueva wrote to the L.A. Board of Supervisors on Wednesday to ask them to declare a “state of emergency” on the local homeless crisis, saying that “failed policies” were causing death on the streets. Villanueva has recently adopted a more assertive approach, vowing to clear homeless encampments from the Venice Beach area and standing up to the L.A. City Council on its failure to contain the spread of tent cities throughout the city. This week, he stepped up his efforts by calling on the L.A. County Board of Supervisors to act, in a press conference....
