New analysis of President Biden's tax proposals has suggested that nearly 60 percent of Americans may still face bigger bills, despite his continued promise that no one earning less than $400,000 a year would be impacted. The findings from the nonpartisan Tax Policy Center show that the majority of the burden would be placed on America's richest families - also known as the one-percenters - earning more than $800,000. Around 99.8 percent earning between $500,00 and $1million will pay more an average of $8,810 more in taxes each year.

A pair of LGBT pride organizers were publicly shamed by Seattle officials after complaining that an event seeking to charge white people $50 'reparations' to attend was reverse racism. Philip Lipson and Charlette LeFevre were slammed and publicly shamed by Seattle's Human Rights Commission which shared their complaint, complete with their unobscured phone number, as well as the Commission's response on Twitter. The event which triggered the complaint, Taking B[l]ack Pride, is free, but organizers have told 'white allies and accomplices' they 'will be charged a $10 to $50 reparations fee that will be used to keep this event free...

(CNN)The Trump Organization on Monday sued the city of New York after it ended its contract for a golf course at Ferry Point Park in the wake of the attack on the US Capitol on January 6. In a lawsuit filed in state court in Manhattan, the company alleged wrongful termination of the contract in mid-January, saying the city and Mayor Bill de Blasio had "denounced President (Donald) Trump in the most inflammatory terms" and "incited others to terminate business with Trump-related entities" the day after the riot. Pointing also to comments de Blasio had made earlier in his term...

Beijing, Jun 21 (PTI) China has warned its nationals in Afghanistan to leave the war-torn country urgently in view of the raging violence ahead of the withdrawal of the US troops. The warning comes as the fighting between Afghan security forces and the Taliban militants have escalated in recent weeks. The insurgents have captured dozens of new districts in Afghanistan. China’s embassy in Afghanistan has warned Chinese nationals to leave Afghanistan, amid a rapid rise in violence in the country as the Taliban recaptures territories ahead of the complete withdrawal of the US and NATO troops, Hong Kong-based South China...

If you don’t agree with the parasites’ preposterous policies, they want only to control you. Like lockdowns, mask mandates, and physical distancing requirements, stimulus bills are passed to provide a (false) sense of security. Question the parasites’ efficacy or legitimacy, and they’ll be happy to watch you drop dead, as hydroxychloroquine and zinc attest. The parasites either can’t imagine a government that’s voluntarily funded or they know that their particular pet program won’t be at the top of donors’ lists. Capital accumulation and investment are the only paths to wealth creation, but to add insult to the injury of paying...

This is the story of how the FBI framed four innocent men for murder, destroyed families, and tried to cover it up. It’s also the story of the convergence of John Durham and Robert Mueller: how Durham uncovered the FBI’s crimes and how Robert Mueller’s FBI disputed the innocence of the men the FBI framed. The FBI knocked and Mike Albano opened the door. It was 1983. As a member of the Massachusetts State Parole Board, Albano thought he had been doing his job when he looked into voting to commute the sentence of Peter Limone, who along with Joseph...
  • “Avocados Are Green Gold” As Thieves Target Farms

Avocado farmers in South Africa are combating thieves who have found that money grows on trees. The Wall Street Journal interviewed avocado farmer Mark Alcock who has a 170-acre farm in South Africa, the world’s sixth-largest avocado exporter. He said his farm has a motion-activated infrared camera system operated by an ex-military soldier and protects the property from criminals. Alcock is not alone. As prices increase due to cyclical factors, other farms have installed security systems to monitor their crops. “As the value of the product rises, the accessibility of it rises because more orchards are being planted,” said Howard...

Ratchadawan Puengprasopporn said her family was asleep when she heard noises coming from the kitchen. When she and her husband went to investigate, they saw the elephant poking its head into her kitchen, rummaging through the shelves and eating a plastic bag containing food. This isn’t the first intrusion she’s had from Boonmee, a wild male elephant in his forties known among residents and park officials as a frequent visitor to the village. Local authorities and national parks officials visited Ratchadawan and her family the next day and advised her to remove food, especially anything salty. Pattarapol Maneeon, a veterinarian...

The US 9th Circuit Court of Appeals has blocked a federal judge's controversial ruling that overturned California's longtime ban on assault weapons, in which he likened the AR-15 to a Swiss Army knife. In an order Monday, a three-judge panel on the federal appeals court issued a stay of US District Judge Roger Benitez's order earlier this month that overturned California's three-decade old assault weapons ban. The state's current assault weapons laws will remain in effect while further proceedings continue, California Attorney General Rob Bonta said in a statement on Twitter.

Late last year, when the fate of the reflation trade and the price of oil was still unclear, Exxon made the only decision that it could in order to preserve its dividend: it announced that it would cut 14,000 jobs worldwide by 2022, or about 20% of its workforce, and it would extend reductions well beyond that original time frame. The cost savings would go to fund the one thing the once world’s largest corporation was best known for – its generous dividend, which at one point last year yielded about 10% (it has since shrunk to 5.6%). Fast forward...

Nine-year-old Rodwell Khomazana lost his nose, left eye, most of his upper lip, parts of his forehead and other parts of his face when the animal...

The ongoing global semiconductor shortage is causing prices of electronics to rise while at the same time pressuring suppliers and material providers to continue raising prices. In the midst of the shortage, demand for consumer electronics has continued to rocket higher. Ergo, industry officials believe that the increases are likely to continue, according to a new Wall Street Journal report. The effects can be easily seen in consumer electronics. The report notes that items like one ASUS laptop that formerly cost $900 now costs $950. An HP Chromebook laptop that used to cost $220 has seen its price rise to...

Shane Fuhrman cites ‘threats’ and ‘divisiveness’ as reasons, but gives no further explanation.. The mayor of Silverton suspended recitation of the Pledge of Allegiance at town meetings Monday, saying the pledge has led to threats and community divisiveness. “Due to direct and indirect threats, inappropriate comments in and out of public meetings, and the general divisiveness this is creating in our community, we will not be doing the Pledge of Allegiance during town of Silverton board of trustee meetings,” said Mayor Shane Fuhrman during Monday’s town board meeting. “And it’s removed from agendas and our protocols until such time that...
