As has been said so many times in the last few months by so many great FReepers, the reason the donations are falling is because of the takeover by the leftists of our once great FreeRepublic.
This is no longer the site that JimRob kept and wanted.
The lefties that are mostly in control of the site now are forcing the loyal FReepers away from the site and/or falling donations.
Agreed. I’ve already written previously, that FR has become a haven for repeat offenders who ignore Jim Robinson’s rules. A group of agitators have been allowed repeatedly to run rough shod over this site, violate the rules, attack people, call Freepers names, over and over. Their punishment? A short time-out, and they are then allowed to return to continue their obnoxious behavior. Simply suspending them only sends a message of encouragement. It emboldens them because they know they can get away with their bad behavior over and over, and they won’t get kicked off permanently. If I want to be verbally abused or harassed, I’ll go to a RAT campaign rally for free, but I’m not going to shell out money for a site that continually condones that kind of behavior, and ruins it for the rule-abiding members.
