SEVENTH WEEK OF EASTER JOHN 21:15–19 Friends, today’s Gospel tells of the great engagement between the risen Jesus and Peter. Peter knows his sin—he betrayed Jesus three times. But Jesus brings him through the process of repentance and gives him the key to transformation. Three times Peter denied the Lord, and so three times Jesus asks him to reaffirm his faith: "Simon, son of John, do you love me?" Notice that Christianity is not a set of ideas or convictions or principles. It is a relationship with a person. Do you love Jesus? Has he become your friend? When Simon...

"Vaccine efficacy is generally reported as a relative risk reduction (RRR). It uses the relative risk (RR)—ie, the ratio of attack rates with and without a vaccine—which is expressed as 1–RR. Ranking by reported efficacy gives relative risk reductions of 95% for the Pfizer–BioNTech, 94% for the Moderna–NIH, 90% for the Gamaleya, 67% for the J&J, and 67% for the AstraZeneca–Oxford vaccines. However, RRR should be seen against the background risk of being infected and becoming ill with COVID-19, which varies between populations and over time. Although the RRR considers only participants who could benefit from the vaccine, the absolute...

We who swear to uphold the Constitution against all enemies foreign and domestic owe no allegiance whatever to the oligarchy that now runs this country. The attempt of America’s ruling class to convict 455 persons of “armed insurrection”—i.e. of waging war against the United States, a species of treason—for protesting insufficient scrutiny of the 2020 election on January 6 in the Capitol, while at the same time it excuses and even cheers the burning and looting of courthouses, police stations, and downtowns all over America, is not the exercise of a “double standard.” The people in and out of government...

$19 an hour is not typically advertised at a lot of restaurants, but that’s the guaranteed hourly wage at HallPass in Salt Lake City for every employee... About four months ago, Slobusky started paying every employee from the dishwasher to the bartender at least $19 an hour. Instead of having a bunch of unhappy part-time workers, Slobusky said he strives to have loyal full-time workers adding “it's the difference between people working one job or two jobs.” The business can afford this model because the day’s tips are distributed among all workers.... $19 an hour is just shy of $40,000...

Amero may give access to the plaintiffs (VoterGA.org, Garland Favorito, and another plaintiff) to the physical mail-in ballots in Fulton County, which could show massive election fraud in GA during the 2020 presidential election cycle, and the follow-on runoff that decided control of the U.S. Senate for the Democrat Party, leading to full control of the...

SARS-CoV-2 proteins were measured in longitudinal plasma samples collected from 13 participants who received two doses of mRNA-1273 vaccine. 11 of 13 participants showed detectable levels of SARS-CoV-2 protein as early as day one after first vaccine injection. Clearance of detectable SARS-CoV-2 protein correlated with production of IgG and IgA. Here, we provide evidence that circulating SARS-CoV-2 proteins are present in the plasma of participants vaccinated with the mRNA-1273 vaccine. We report antigen and serological data of the mRNA-1273 vaccine in 13 healthcare workers at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital. Ultrasensitive single-molecule array (Simoa) assays were used for the detection...

If you know a man is a man and a woman is a woman, then referring to Jenner in the feminine sense violates your moral compass and prescription to the truth.Since announcing a gubernatorial bid in California, Caitlyn Jenner has ignited a conversation about who the qualified Republican candidate to run in the left-wing stronghold is. Jenner sat down with Sean Hannity on Fox News and ridiculed Democrat Gov. Gavin Newsom for his “hypocrisy” in handling COVID-19. Jenner also released a campaign video about the “California dream” that displayed clips of the retired athlete competing in the 1976 Olympics decathlon.Jenner...

As consumers adjusted to ordering food online and off-premise sales soared, the pancake chain rethought its strategy for Flip'd. Now, rather than just targeting high-traffic city centers, IHOP plans to pilot the fast-casual locations in suburban areas and inside high-end convenience stores as well. "We expect to continue to open restaurants, and as we open new ones, we'll incorporate whatever learnings we have into the future design as we go," IHOP President Jay Johns said in an interview. "This isn't like a test where you start and then stop to assess before you make more decisions." The first pilot Flip'd...

Police say a theft suspect in Idaho Falls fell through the ceiling tiles of a local restaurant Tuesday evening while running from officers. The Idaho Falls Police Department was looking for Jesse James Moore, 38, a suspect in two theft cases from earlier that day. The search was a rather unique one, allegedly involving children’s bicycles, stolen deli ham, and the suspect locking himself in a women’s bathroom in an attempt to escape into the ceiling of a Subway restaurant, according to an affidavit of probable cause. The search began earlier Tuesday when a woman called officers around 6 p.m....

Meghan McCain told her co-hosts on ABC’s “The View” that CNN host Chris Cuomo was “a sanctimonious tool” while discussing the news he was advising his brother Gov. Andrew Cuomo (D-NY) about his sexual misconduct allegations. McCain said, “Well, I just think it’s hypocritical…We’re all in positions where we work in media and politics. We have to talk about people that we love. Quite frankly, if my dad had been accused of sexual assault, I would be talking about it on “The View.” I’m not a snowflake. I’m not Chris Cuomo. I do love my family and my dad. There’s...

What is wrong with this country? Here is one thing that I thing permeates through out a certain culture. I went to Hibdons Tires this morning to get a flat fixed on my pickup. It is an almost new tire and I managed to pickup a nail. I was in line behind one pickup getting two new tires on the front. They pulled that pickup in just as I sat down in the waiting room, and I watched some big, fat, white millenial, turquoise colored hair guy screw around with that truck for a solid hour before they could even...

Almost 90 per cent of the COVID-19 patients who were given fake Remdesivir injections in Madhya Pradesh have recovered, police said. In what came as a surprise to the investigators, more than 100 patients who were administered the spurious injunction survived while 10 patients died. These injections were sold by an inter-state gang as genuine Remdesivir—which is in high demand for treating COVID-19 patients—at exorbitant rates, a probe has revealed. Police said in the last one month, the gang had supplied at least 1,200 spurious Remdesivir injections, which contained glucose water and salt, in Madhya Pradesh—700 in Indore and 500...
